Love the cabin. It’s nicely nestled in on the side of the mountain. Very cozy. I will want to stay here again. I would recommend having additional blankets for the beds though.

Wonderful place to stay. Visited with a group of high school friends of 50 years. Everyone had their own room and bathroom. The house had absolutely beautiful views. It was like being in a tree house. Location was convenient to all the local areas.

Wonderful home to stay in. Close to attractions, hiking, shopping. Close to other homes but private enough to make you think you were the only one around. Loved sitting on the deck and and taking in all the sights and sounds of the mountains. The house was very clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed for the weekend.

Our daughter goes to AppState so we are pretty familiar with the area. We were hoping to go skiing but it rained while we were there so we didn’t get to do this. We stayed at the house mostly which is comfortable and we got to use the community pool which was very close to the property. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Thank you for your review, we are happy you enjoyed your stay with us.
One of the most complete homes we’ve ever stayed in with VRBO. Every inch of the home is complete and tastefully finished. Easy drive to all the amenities of the High Country. Spectacular outdoor pool (did not use the indoor one). I’d recommend it to anyone. 5 star all the way!
End of Buffalo is perfectly situated between Boone and Sugar Mountain/Banner Elk. About a 15 minute drive to Boone and Sugar Mountain. The home is spacious with bedrooms and bathrooms on all 3 floors. You definitely need 4wd if visiting in the winter months. Echota provides many amenities. I just wish we had stayed longer to take advantage of them. The one negative was the amount of bugs inside the home. We found some spiders and ants, but that might be expected considering this home is located in the middle of a forest.

Thank you for your review, we are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us at the End of Buffalo. We apologize for the bugs, the home is on quarterly pest control, but they still can manage to get in with the surrounding woods. We would love to have you visit with us again if you are back in the High Country.
Great space for families. Gated community feels secure nestled in a quiet, private street with only two other properties. Having access to the Indoor pool and the hot tub was such a treat for the children to play and the adults to wind down after a day of skiing. It’s only 15 minutes from Sugar Mountain Resort. We can’t say enough about the great stay that we had at End of Buffalo!

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and were able to enjoy the amenities on site! The indoor pool is a great way to end a day of skiing and fun! We would love to have you visit when the temperature gets warmer and you can enjoy the stunning views at our outdoor pool. We hope you will visit again soon!
Cabin is even lovelier than pictured. Pictures don’t do it justice. Very clean inside. Fun, thoughtful decor everywhere. Excellent amenities. Just a bit disappointed that outside areas weren’t in better shape - back patio and entryway needed to be swept and tended to. Furniture wasn’t in great shape. Lovely garden in front was also quite over-grown and blocked walkway.
The Echota development is beautiful with gardens of flowers everywhere. Lush and green. Nice indoor pool and very pretty outdoor one for guest use. A little further out from Boone and definitely Blowing Rock than we expected. The cabin is set quite aways off of 105, at a very steep
incline.
Only significant downside was that we arrived in a very hot spell to broken a/c and disconnected Internet and Cable - none of which the property management company was aware of. However, when we drew their attention to the problems, the property management company was very proactive in helping us get the issues resolved. It was disappointing to have to start our vacation staying in the cabin waiting for various maintenance people. But once those issues were eventually corrected, we enjoyed our stay in the cabin very much. A beautiful spot!
