The cottage was lovely and perfectly met our needs for our group of three. The view of the lake is beautiful, and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were so kind and welcoming.One of our favorite things was simply spending time sitting on the porch, relaxing and watching the lake. It was such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay.I highly recommend this cottage and would definitely consider staying here again on a future trip!

Beautiful little cottage with Silver Lake as our front yard. Great little beach area and access to kayaks and paddle boards. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and a dock was available for parking. Very friendly and accommodating hosts.

Great place to stay

This was a great place to stay, especially with our young kids. They loved playing on the small beach and watching the boats go by on the lake. Quiet and relaxing spot but still very close to everything in traverse city.

Great location right on the water and 15 minutes from downtown Traverse City. Tons of attractions for kids with a short drive. Hosts are on site and very friendly. Accommodations are very clean and as advertised. Would recommend this location to anyone with young kids.

Great Little Cottage

Idyllic TC Cottage

The Willow Cottage is literally two steps from the best spot on Silver lake. It is a very short distance into downtown Traverse City so you can relax and get away from the traffic of town but venture out to the restaurants and shops when you want. One of the best stays we have had in 20 years of vacations in this area.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin on the lake! It was very well stocked, which made it easy to enjoy breakfast at home. Everything was spotless, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the whole place was so quiet and peaceful. We can’t wait to come back when the weather is nicer so we can take advantage of the kayaks.During our stay, we enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Pepe Nero, visited Mari Vineyards, and went for a beautiful hike at Empire Bluff. The location of the cabin is perfect—everything is just a short drive away.Highly recommend this spot and looking forward to our next visit!

MDW on Silver Lake

Beautiful, peaceful location on the water. The cottage was perfect for our busy weekend in Traverse City. Because we were busy with other plans we didn't take advantage of all the things the property had to offer but would love to return in the future and do just that!

The Willow cottage was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. AC was phenomenal for the extremely hot 90 degree days. It was clean and the two bedrooms were beautiful. The front porch 15vfeet from theame was much bigger than in the photos and faced the east so had plenty of shade and protection from any rain. Multiple kayaks and paddle boards provided were fantastic. Saw many loons up close!

Amazing Lakefront Retreat with Exceptional Host!

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful lakefront property! The views were absolutely stunning, and the house was immaculate and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The outdoor space was perfect for morning coffees and evening BBQs by the water. The host was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise! Highly recommended!

Having done many vacation rentals over many years, we felt that this cottage was better than average. It was clean, nice furnishings, and the air conditioning was needed and worked great. There were no “extra touches”. Two areas of concern…WiFi was sketchy at best, often did not work at all. It was not clear in the description that a second larger rental unit is on the property and that the small beach would be shared. The larger family group in the other unit totally took over the nice sitting area and the beach. We had 2 chairs.No fault of the owners, but we found out when we arrived that the lake has parasites that cause Swimmers Itch, no small concern. So, we didn’t even go in the water. To top it off, smoke from wildfires in Canada came in and caused Hazardous Air conditions. We stayed inside for 2 days! Luckily, we went to another rental property on a different lake for our second week…the smoke blew away in a few days and we had a wonderful week 2!

Sandy, Thank you for taking the time to write a review for the cottage. I am sorry you didn't let us know that the WiFi was giving you problems. We would have fixed that for you right away. You were surprised that there was another cottage. The fact that there are 2 cottages on the property is indicated in the second sentence of the property description. I am sorry you felt crowded out by the other family on the 70ft. of beach frontage. You had 5 beach chairs vs. the 2 you stated. You had your own BBQ grill, campfire pit and picnic table. The other family had their own BBQ grill, campfire pit and picnic table as well. The swimmers itch unfortunately hit all the lakes in the area this year. We provided all of our guests an ointment that the locals use to prevent the issue. The Canadian Smoke that came into Northern MI impacted everyone in multiple state. We could not do anything about that. It was terrible for everyone. Again, I wish you would have told us the WiFi was giving you problems during your stay and that you thought you only had 2 beach chairs. We are committed to provide a good experience to all of our guests and I feel disappointed that you did not and I didn't have chance to improve what I could for you. Marian and Tom

Perfect House

The house was clean, in great condition, and had everything needed for our week stay. The location was convenient, and the setting on the lake was beautiful and peaceful. The hosts were incredibly nice and had thought of everything. We especially appreciated the restaurant recommendations they provided in the instructional binder. Every one we tried was amazing! We would definitely stay here again.
