Welcome to our authentic log cabin. We are proud to offer a very clean and well equipped cabin for our guests Our private road brings you through our gate, to the huge open areas around the cabin. There is plenty of parking for everyone . The kids can explore our property, or climb on the kids play structure or huge assortment of BIG boulders to climb and jump between. There is also a baby deer sanctuary a short walk from our cabin. The caretakers are always happy to let you interact with the deer in their natural setting. Sometimes the deer wander up to our cabin for a visit. Many of the adults guests have said their visit to the Sanctuary was more fun for them than the kids. The South Toe River which is about a mile away, as the crow flies. It is a gentle river perfect for fishing, tubing, or a peaceful rafting trip for as long as you would like. There are many places to pull ashore if anyone gets tired. The cell service is pretty good through most of that area of the river. That makes it easy to have someone pick you up when you have had a full day. I have been told by the "locals" that the river can be taken all the way into South East TN. after joining with the Nolichuckey River.
Some of our guests have decided to bring their own RV for sleeping purposes. We are always flexible and strive to make your event, exactly what you have planned it to be. We understand the tremendous amount of planning that goes into getting everyone's schedule in sync when deciding on the dates, location and pricing for 30 to 40 adults and children.
WE HAVE NEVER TURNED A GROUP AWAY IN OVER TEN YEARS. About Bill or Cindy Davis
Cindy and I met at our church youth group in 1974. and were married in Long Beach, CA. in 1976. Cindy worked for the school district, and I retired from law enforcement in 2003. We have raised our first four children in a very rural area of Northern California until retirement. Our entire "clan" moved together in 2004 with our married children and their families to Greeneville, Tennessee. Since moving we have adopted or been raising six additional children for the last eleven years. We have 15 grandchildren and one great grand child. Most of our six adult children, live in the greater Greeneville area. Several other relatives, families and friends, have made the move to Tennessee in the years that followed. It has been a wonderful, rural area to watch the grand kids growing up. They now range in age from 19 yrs to 1 year.

Why Bill or Cindy Davis chose Jacks Creek
We fell in love with this large home on our first visit, and were the new owners, just days later. The three story Lodge originally was a 10 bedroom Lodge. We had never seen a cabin built with the huge timbers, all harvested from the property itself. We created 3 master suites causing the reduction in the number of bedrooms. With our immediate family hovering at about 35, this cabin was just ideal for us. There are four large separate gathering areas causing large groups to be able and meet without feeling closed in. After a few years of owning the cabin we decided to try renting it. About 90% of our guests come as part of a family reunion, while the remainder typically consist of Church or Business retreats.
What makes this Cabin unique
We get comments each week from guests about the many features of the Lodge they loved. The ability to seat your entire group together at the same table is always one of the favorite features at the cabin. The three Master Suites with their own private bathrooms are a great bonus. The availability of the ample supply of other bathrooms makes waiting in line no problem at the Lodge. With end of the road privacy and plenty of room outdoors, there is NEVER a feeling of being crowded. There is also plenty of room for several vehicles as well as your fifth wheel, motor home, or church bus.

Great house for big groups
Owner was very helpful with sorting out payment issues with VRBO website. Property itself was very nice for a large group. There was plenty of parking, space to relax, and space to eat as a group. Game room was a little beat up, but that is probably because it gets the most use from kids (not beat up enough to lower the rating). Overall I would recommend this property to large groups because there is enough privacy but also enough space to hang out as s group!
Thanks for taking your time to write a review. There are very few college groups, that we would consider allowing to stay at the cabin. We let you stay again because you had stayed in the past, with no problems. You treated the cabin very respectful and we found nothing that was broken inside of the cabin. We appreciate the respect you again have shown the cabin and will always be welcomed back. You are correct that there was a couple of items the were broken by the group be fore you. Our cleaning crew could not get to the cabin to clean until the day before you checked in. We were than unable to get the parts we needed for repairs in time for your group. I am very sorry things went that way. It is so hard to get replacement parts on a Saturday, during a 5 hours window. We are currently looking to purchase a new air hockey table, to replace the old one.
I am glad you had a great time over all, I hope to hear from you again. I have already released the funds as of yesterday.
Overall very awesome experience beautiful location.
Only issue was hiking directions in the binder. They didn’t start from the cabin, weren’t available on GPS, and led us to look around for a trail for 3 hours we couldn’t find. Still a very enjoyable experience and the house was great. Fit our group of 20 very comfortably.
We try our best to make each gusts stay as perfect as possible. Plants and bushes are starting to bloom out and the trails may be a bit over grown.I will ask my maintenance man to do some trimming. I am glad to hear that over, that you all had a great time. The cabin was left in very nice condition. Thank you for taking the time to clean up as well.
We are always happy t hear that a group had a very good time. I hope to see you again in the future.
The property was beautiful and clean. We were very pleased
Our group had an incredible time at the cabin. We got to go to the deer sanctuary twice, which was so lovely. We so enjoyed our stay.
Everything was good, the owner's were very helpful and made the process very easy. It had plenty of space for 35 people. Lots of room to walk around and meet. It is about 30 minutes from multiple snow tubing locations and attractions. Look up the hiking trails in the manual provided. We found a great one with a beautiful waterfall that was a medium hike. The driveway however is terrible. Getting up the hill when it is raining is dangerous. Park down the hill when it rains. The place overall is very quite and refreshing. Beautiful stay with responsive owners.
I am glad you had a a wonderful time while at the lodge. I am sorry to hear you had a problem with the driveway. I had the driveway graded and compacted the day before your arrival. The morning after you checked in, I had the water well man replace a maintenance filter on the well. He drove in fine, in a two wheel drive small truck. I spoke with him later that day. He told me the driveway, was dug out, where tires had spun the entire length of the driveway.. He said the group appeared to have two wheel drive vehicles. We have many groups that stay with us from a Southern State, where they are not use to snow and ice. We remind all groups that book in the winter months, to be sure they either have a 4x4 vehicle, or chains for their cars. THIS WINTER WAS THE WORST, ON RECORD, FOR SNOW AND ICE. As you can see from the reviews, many groups had no problem whatsoever this Winter. There were two occasions in Jan & Feb where we received a record amount of snow. We had several weeks when the temperature never went above freezing. We had numerous days of freezing rain in the entire County. I am very sorry they had a problem with traction. I believe that a set of snow chains would have made a huge difference.
This group was an excellent group to work with and left the cabin in very nice condition. Especially for having 35 teenagers. I am very sorry they had a problem. Today was the first I had heard there was a problem.
Thank you for taking your time to write the review.
I loved everything about that cabin
Everything was nice more then what I expected
Thank you for taking a few moments to write a review. Your group experienced some extremely cold weather during your visit. It has been the worst road conditions I have ever seen. You probably understand why we leave that last section of the road in gravel. You left the group in great condition and would always be welcomed back for another stay.
it was ok
Loved that it was spacious. Need lots of upgrades to accommodate so many people. Owners were very nice and responded quickly on some concerns we had. Need a bit more cleaning. But overall it was OK.
