Chalk Creek is remote yet in the center of all things fun. The Cedar Lodge has plenty of room and privacy, we are glad you came to enjoy the area. "For every season there is a time for every purpose" Please come visit again.

Hi Lisa, we are so glad you enjoyed the house and all it has to offer. We noted your comment on the bedding and towels. We are now asking that guests leave used beds unmade and towels in a tub or near the laundry room. The owners strive to give the guest the best experience and amenities and that is why they have explicit directions.
This was the perfect location for a quiet getaway with friends and family! We soaked in the hot springs at Mount Princeton which is only a few miles down the road. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. The rooms are very spread out so everyone had their own private space! We look forward to staying here again!

So glad you enjoyed your time in Chalk Creek Canyon, please, come visit again!
We met up with 7 other adult friends for a long weekend in the mountains. The space worked great for us - It was very roomy and functional and provided a lot of privacy with the layout and bathroom / bedroom setup. We would stay here again. Highly recommend!

The house does offer a lot of privacy with three floors and an apartment over the garage. Thank you for visiting!
We had a lovely time at your cabin. We really enjoyed the location, and the drive to it was easy. The house is very spacious and the apartment is an added perk. The kitchen was stocked with the necessities for cooking, and we enjoyed the gathering areas for our families to play games or relax and watch a show together. We hope to come back sometime in the summer!

Janie, so glad you came to Chalk Creek and enjoyed your stay. The house is spacious with plenty of room to spread out. We would love for you to come visit again! Happy New Year!
Rented for the weekend to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Had grandparents and aunts/uncles come in for the party. Myself, wife and two kids were also there. Plenty of space for everyone, lots of excellent seating areas. No concerns for privacy inside or out. All the kitchen storage and utensils you would ever need.
Especially enjoyed the fire pit area and nearby creek. Such a lovely property. Would absolutly stay here again if we are in the area.

We are so glad you came and that your family was there to celebrate the birthday! Please come visit again!
When we first got to this home, we thought the layout was a bit weird, but even the split kitchen worked for us and we ended up really enjoying it. We especially liked the back open space with a swing, tether ball, horseshoes and a firepit. There was even a little path with a creek where we could explore and a meadow on the other side of the house where we could watch a dozen deer grazing. It was just the mountain experience we were hoping for! Thanks!

Meredith we were so glad to have shared the Cedar with you! The layout may be a little "funky" but it sure lends to privacy for those who stay, plenty of room to spread out. The "meadow" does attract plenty of wildlife, this spring it was very active with big horns and deer!
This is one of the best cabins we've ever stayed in. It was impeccibly clean, comfortable, and set up very well for large groups or families with different age groups. There was a large variety of dishes for cooking and serving and plenty of utensils. The large deck surrounded by trees was lovely and secluded. Only 6 minutes further down the road from Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort. The cabin had body soap, makeup remover, some feminine products, and a blow dryer at the ready. We needed to bring shampoo and conditioner and all other bathroom essentials. You will also was need plastic wrap, tin foil, or ziplock bags. This is pretty common for vacation rentals but just might be helpful for other guests to mention. Overall this cabin was incredible. My kids asked for us to make this a family tradition and come back every year. Thank you to the host for being so communicative when we needed help finding the correct driveway. Everything was great.

We are so glad you had a 5-Star stay. Since reading your review we have updated the bathrooms with dispensers for soap, shampoo, and conditioner, we hope this makes it easier for guests. As to the kitchen it is supplied with everything you might need to eat with or cook with, guests usually bring wrap and bags since these are disposable, many leave it behind for the the next guest to use. See you next year on your "yearly" family tradition!
Do not wear shoes in the house. Do not put perishable food in the trash. There's a small bear proof trash receptacle. Even though you've paid a cleaning fee you need to sort the laundry. Put all the dishes away where they belong. I turn on the dishwasher as I walk out the door. You get one towel each. We arrived before check-in and left coolers and suitcases on the porch then took off to the trails. Property manager cussed at us but didn't say we couldn't. We've rented many cabins and houses. This was not our fav even though the property and cabin was beautiful
There was plenty of room for 10 adults in this property. All bedrooms were separate and pretty private. Plenty of parking and outdoor sitting spaces as well. The only challenge was the small kitchen, sitting and dining areas when all 10 adults were present. We made them work, though. We would definitley stay here again!
This property was very clean and spacious 😊. We were very comfortable. The location was perfect, close to hiking and motocross trails, hot springs, Saint Elmo, BV etc.
The property was amazing! More than we could have asked for. Beautiful setting, nicely furnished, nestled off of the road.
The property managers are very responsive!
