Polar Bear Den - Close to Airport, centrally located W/BBQ ; private entrance

This quiet townhouse is isolated from other neighbors and located minutes away from Ted Steven International Airport, Campbell Creek Trail, Kincaid park and trails, shopping and more. This is a great base location for your adventures in the last great frontier. We offer 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath. The Master bedroom has a queen sleep by number adjustable comfort bed as well as a comfortable futon. There is also a 42" TV. The second bedroom offers a super comfortable queen size bed. All of our bedding and linens are fresh and new. There is a small backyard with patio and BBQ grill for you to enjoy the long hours of Alaska daylight. There is a washer and dryer upstairs for your convenience as well as a dishwasher in the fully stocked (pots pans utensils etc. ) kitchen.

The garage may be available, please inquire before booking.

There are cameras on the property outside and in the garage. These are not used to monitor our guests, but for security.

Comfortable Getaway

The property was very clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities needed for a very enjoyable stay. If we ever come back to Anchorage, we would definitely want to stay here.

My only problem with this place was that I am older and have back problems and the beds were not supportive, so I had trouble sleeping here but otherwise place was well equipped for travelers and was peaceful

This was a great choice for our busy weekend. Nice hub for our chosen activities. Owner gave great directions and instructions. Great amenities. Quiet and cosy. Easy distance from anything you want do in the area. The only problem we had was that the Smart TV in the downstairs needs some kind of update. Gives a constant interupting message that it is short of storage and that some apps should be deleted.

Let’s be honest

The location was very convenient and we were able to accomplish what we needed to do in a short period. We appreciate the accommodations but we did have some concerns. Some safety concerns were the entrance area which was uneven, the stairs to the upstairs area was steep and the railings felt like they needed to be fastened down more. Some issues on cleanliness: we did find some hair in the sink and on the bedsheets, also some unknown stains on the powder room door. Drainage for the shower and bathroom sinks were very slow. Regulating the shower temperature was very tricky. Also the vent to the guest room was inconsistent since one day felt cold and the next was very warm.

Good place to stay

Stayed on our arrival - close to the airport. Well stocked and had everything we needed. Parking was a bit challenging but otherwise a good place to stay

Great Place Overall

This home is comfortable and affordable. The owner responded very quickly to a couple of questions/concerns. It was a great location for us visiting with family and doing a little sight-seeing. The whole place was clean overall, but the main bathroom could use a full deep cleaning.

Very enjoyable stay

Great place to stay at an affordable price. The host was very helpful and left us ideas for eating places. Clean space, every needful thing provided (and then some). Quiet, pleasant neighborhood, not far from airport and good shopping facilities. Some travel guide/tourist books right in the apartment. Good internet. Only thing we had some trouble with was the front sidewalk, which needs some repairs. (Probably wouldn't have been a problem except that we had some mobility problems.) Certainly would recommend staying there and would stay again if we ever have the opportunity to go back to Alaska.

It is centrally located, nice decor and furnishings, old kitchen cookware, needs attention to cleaning details(mildew on shower curtain, carpet leaving dirt on socks, dust on walls and fixtures).

Worked Well for our Family

This place worked well for our family. With two bedrooms, we each had private space compared to a hotel. And with the full bath - and second half bath - it also allowed us feel less rushed when getting ready. Read the travel directions, and look at the map, closely, as it is otherwise difficult to find. Thanks again!

Short stay- Anchorage

Cozy apartment perfect for 2 couples. Bathrooms updated, newer kitchen appliances and kitchen well stocked including condiments and comfy furniture. Washer/ dryer with detergent were a welcome addition for our post cruise stay! We'd recommend for an affordable comfy stay while in Anchorage. Finding the unit was tricky 1st time and the scent of cleaning product over strong upon arrival but we were able to air it out. Overall a pleasant stay.

Great Location

Everything was as advertised. We enjoyed this quiet centrally located property. The property owner communicated with us and checked back to make sure everything was good for us. I highly recommend this property.
