Peaceful and Perfect June 30th - July 8th 2017

  • 5 of 5

Needed a place to stay near Traverse City for a week, where step-daughter had a dance competition. This cabin was perfect for our unique situation. We have two families trying our best to co-parent and support our girl! We actually had a great time! The cabin accommodated 7 people very nicely (4 adults and 3 kids). The front porch had a great view of the lake. The Cabin has two canoes which was really fun! The owners responded very quickly and very helpful. The Cabin has no AC, but fans are provided, screens on all windows and really the cabin kept a nice temperature, but would warm up if you used the oven or dryer. Since we stayed for a week the washer and dryer came in handy. The cabin had plenty of utensils and basic cookware. I would recommend this cabin for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some time away with their family, but still needed to feel like home!

Beautiful and Convenient Location

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay very much! The big front porch overlooking the lake was a favorite spot to hang out. There was a community dock for swimming and fishing, and a boat dock/area if you bring your own boat. We had several great day trips to Traverse City (highly recommend North Peak Brewery for great food as well as beer), Fish Town on Leenlenau Peninsula which included some wine tasting along the way (Black Star Winery was our favorite), and lunch at the Jolly Pumpkin Brewery out on the deck that has a million dollar view. We also enjoyed tubing and water skiing as well as canoeing. The accommodations were very good, but we did find the twin beds to be a bit lumpy and the pots and pans in great need of replacement. With that said, the cottage was perfect for our needs, the view from the front porch beautiful, and the location terrific.

Cozy, quiet.

This cabin had everything we wanted. Quiet neighborhood. Water view. Had problem with cable/wi if but cable company to blame, not landlord. Would rent again.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind feedback. We replaced the modem and router, and enhanced our wifi speed - works so much better now, like a charm throughout!

A quiet, friendly neighborhood with lake access

  • 5 of 5

Our family wants to return to this rental. The house is comfortable for the six of us adults and has a fun, rustic "bear" theme. Neighbors are friendly and helpful. This place is just far enough off the tourist area to be quiet--very little traffic, back unpaved roads to walk on, lots of mature trees in the area.

Cozy Cottage is a charmer!

  • 4 of 5

The cottage on Green Lake is a charming and convenient place to stay. Only a three minute drive to Interlochen Arts Academy and twenty minutes to Traverse City, the cottage is ideally located. The cottage has all the amenities one could want in a quiet vacation spot. However, if you are coming to work, beware. The WIFI can be spotty.
