Quiet and Lovely
Nice and secluded. Great deck and outdoor fireplace. Easy access with a paved driveway. Getting in and out was no problem at all. Owner is extremely responsive. We incorrectly believed we had an issue with the water and the response was under 10 minutes. Definitely would consider staying again.

Our family has been driving though this area back and forth from Asheville to Atlanta for the last 22 years. We started going to Lake Burton with friends with a cabin and eventually began renting with extended family in the summer. We are empty nesters who enjoy getting away on the weekends from Atlanta. The two hour drive is perfect and you feel like you're leaving all the stress behind. We purchased this cabin in 2019 and hope to have many family memories here, both when our kids visit and with friends. Since we don't come up all the time, we're happy to share it with your family as well!

Why they chose this property

We wanted to be in the mountains for hiking and kayaking but with walking access to the lake to swim and boat. The Burton Getaway's shared community dock is a short walk and you can keep your boat there overnight as long as you're staying at the house nearby.

What makes this property unique

The setting of this house is nestled in the woods so you feel isolated, but you're only a 7 minute walk to the lake. The mountain views are beautiful, you feel like you're in a tree house. An fireside evening is a fun way to spend the night after dinner. Chose from the cozy stone fireplace inside or the beautiful stone outdoor fireplace.
