We just wrapped up a week staying at this property with another family (eight total people) and had a great time. The property was very clean upon our arrival and we were able to get into the property about an hour and a half before the 4pm check-in time. The property offers a great layout and an abundance of space inside. You definitely don't feel as though you are constantly bumping into each other here, as there are plenty of rooms/areas to hang out. Although the décor inside the house is a little dated (carpet throughout and kitchen could use some updating), the two master bedrooms had spacious bathrooms with skylights, and the two spare bedrooms were spacious with a large "jack-and-jill"-type bathroom. The three patios (two in front facing Dune, and one large patio in the back) offered multiple options to lounge outside. The screened-in porch in the front was a nice option at night, however, the wicker furniture could stand to be replaced. The back porch was nice for grilling out, however, we were not able to use this porch due to it being so hot and the porch did not provide any shade. A shade for the table would be helpful. The pool was a good size, especially with kids jumping in at all times! The hot tub was also nice and the temperature control for both the hot tub and pool were easy to operate. My only complaint regarding the pool was that it was constantly dirty. This is not fault of Beachside Getaway. There are so many trees surrounding the pool that there are always leaves, small critters, etc. falling into the pool, that it needs to be professionally cleaned more than the one time per week that is scheduled. We used the cleaning net atleast 7-10 times daily. In addition to the house itself, beach access is extremely close! You won't be disappointed with proximity to the beach. Additionally, the staff at Beachside Getaway could not have been nicer. multiple check-ins with us throughout the week to make sure everything was ok was very much appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay (minus the pool cleanliness) and I would highly recommend.
This beach house has a lot of great features like the pool / spa, screened porch where we spent most of our home time looking at the small view of the ocean and great overhanging oak trees while enjoying the breeze from the ceiling fan. One feature that was not mentioned was the den off the kitchen that was wonderful for a playroom for the kids so you could keep an eye on them while cooking or hanging out in the kitchen or back deck. You can access the beach pretty easy just a real short walk. All in all out of the 8 or so places we have stayed everybody said this was their favorite. On the flip side the house needs a lot of updating. It has carpet through out which is stained and nasty and the bathrooms are old and out dated along with the kitchen. The TV situation is not good. There are some old tube style TVs and the cable doesn't work on any of the TVs except the living room. I know you don't go to the beach to watch TV but it rained several evenings and we have kids so we need cartoons. Which brings up another small problem. Each room has one bed and for a rental you need at least one room with bunk beds or a couple twins or something to keep the kids separated. Its a rental and I don't expect perfect and it its not so all in all a great time in a great location and we will be back.
