About this property

Incredible rustic farmhouse located in a cove across from Lake Blue Ridge Marina. 2 private bedrooms and loft with 3 build in queen beds ( linens provided ). Oversized screened porch w/6 person dining set & sectional to unwind in the mountain air along with charcoal grill (charcoal NOT provided ). 5G internet available for ability to work from lake house and stream---No worries!
Full basement w/bar, pub table, and TV--perfect for family time! There also is a basketball hoop that is adjustable. Swim off the dock, rent a boat from the marina or bring your own, and enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake. Space at the dock to bring a boat along. Property comes with a 4 person paddleboat. So if you are adventurous you can paddle to the marina for a bite to eat and listen to live music on weekends! Large kitchen open to the lower level. It has everything you need to cook except spices and condiments. House is located 5 minutes to Downtown on all paved roads! This is one of the best locations on the lake.

Our second stay!

Great location! Easy to get to. Love the property & dock for our boat. New windows & no ants! Yay! Stovetop still doesn’t work properly, you can’t turn the heat down to simmer without the flame going out. Saw several roaches. Fire pit area needs leaves & spider webs swept out. Stains on main level comforters.

Beautiful home!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is beautifully decorated and well equipped with top of the line appliances, pots/pans, etc. We loved the location near town and being right on the lake!! The owner was very responsive with questions. The only consideration would be that there isn’t a bathtub if you have young kids. We had a really great vacation here and would highly recommend!

Nice property on Lake Blue Ridge

Our family rents properties quite frequently & we appreciate honest reviews when we are looking for a place to stay. This property is a great place. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. Loved having the dock for our boat. Nice location on the lake, close to the marina. AC works great. Comfortable furniture. Lots of comfortable beds - there was even one we weren’t expecting in the nice finished basement. Plenty of cookware, dishes & utensils. Loved the porch. Enjoyed s’mores around the fire pit. Enjoyed the paddle boat. We did see a lot of spider webs & spiders inside the home, including in the showers with us. Old spider webs & bugs should be cleaned off from at least the kitchen sink window. Large black ants were everywhere in the kitchen. We promptly cleaned the kitchen & put food away but they still were constantly on the counters, kitchen table, & all in the trash. We even emptied & moved the trash can to the other side of the kitchen close to the porch door because it looked like the ants were coming out of the corner wall by the lower cabinet where the trash can was, but they still found there way back into the trash. They even got on me & my daughter while we sat at the table. Prior to our arrival, a large limb fell across the path leading down to the dock very close to the fire pit area. Inspection of the trees would be a good idea to prevent a possible serious accident. Fire pit seating area needed to be swept. Main floor shower had a glob of hair across the top of the drain that I had to remove for the shower to drain properly. The stone showers are really cool, but may make it harder to see to clean. Main floor bathroom is a shared bathroom, there isn’t a master bath. Several lamps were missing bulbs. I found one bulb in a closet for our bedside lamp. We were unable to do any laundry because we couldn’t get the dryer door to close. Lastly, cooking on the stovetop was challenging because you couldn’t turn the temperature down to low or simmer, the flame would go out altogether - it may need to be converted for LP gas. All in all, we enjoyed our stay & plan to return. We love Lake Blue Ridge & the convenience of this location. The home is beautiful & for the most part met our needs.

Distrusting but great location

We stayed at this rental for a four day weekend with a group of our extended family. The location was great. Very close to everything. However, we were very disappointed in how dirty the unit was. There was mold in the shower, spiders and spider webs in all of the bedrooms, a roach upstairs, and webs so thick on the windows you can barely see out. It had looked as if the cleaning service had taken 5 minutes to clean the entire unit. I reach out to the owner and they offer no help afterward saying that the spiders come with the location. Great location but as stated dirty.
