The location and cabin were absolutely exquisite! The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was wonderful to cook in, the back patio was so wonderful to relax on, and enjoy after a long day on the lake or a hike.

A group of 8 ladies had a great time at this property. Lots of room, very clean, just as advertised, well stocked with lots of personal touches that made you feel welcome as the though you were visiting friends. Great location, close to village and lake. Adorable Cabin!

The rental experience was smooth and the cabin was even cuter and cozier than expected. The location is ideal, at the end of a road with room around the cabin to explore. We even saw a bear stroll by the sunroom window. It was a wonderful stay for myself, my husband, and our four young kids with plenty of room for everyone.

We loved Bass Lake and the cabine home was a perfect spot for our family to explore this lovely area. It's close-in to the little town, not far from Yosemite and there's lots to do. Cabin was comfy and accommodated our group of six perfectly. We loved the deck, ate their every nite, and even watched deer from it! We will be back!

Perfect cozy cabin!

This place was perfect for our family! Spacious, cute, and cozy. My husband and I took three of our adult kids and five grandkids, and there was plenty of room! The location was minutes away from Bass Lake, a small general store, an excellent Restaurant at the resort, and a pizza place. If your going up for snow in the winter season, the snow was 25 minutes from the cabin! We are hoping to plan another trip really soon! We are hoping to plan another trip to this cabin soon!

We had an amazing stay at the Mount family cabin! It was beautiful cabin and perfect for our family summer vacation….. it is super close to all the fun (you can walk to almost everything like food and lake activities….. but if you do drive it’s a short one!) but it is just tucked away enough to feel the peace of the woods. We spent one evening just up the road at the Sugar Pine Railroad for an evening dinner and train ride, two days on Bass Lake where we rented a pontoon boat and went tubing, and a the last day hopped up the road to Lewis Creek and hiked to Red Rock Falls. This stay and trip was definitely one for the books and probably up there on our favorites.Now, more about this cabin….. we made wonderful memories at this beautiful cabin! Allison was extremely responsive anytime I needed anything….and she is so kind! You can feel how loved their family cabin is….. photos of their family through the years are framed throughout the cabin….. you can tell how much they love that place and how well cared for it was. There are so many special touches that make that place magical. It was nice and clean….. had everything we needed to make our stay effortless and easy. I highly recommend this place…… we loved it so much I am positive we will return for another visit one of these days. Thank you Mount family for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!

Clean and sweet cabin stay

We had a very good time at this newer-built cabin!! If you want a true log cabin experience that is clean and more updated, this is it. The beds are very comfy! Kids loved the bunk beds. It's obvious the owners put a lot of love and thought into the decor and overall experience for guests, really got a sense of them sharing a special place to them and having pride in making it great for us too. We enjoyed being close to the marina, general store and mom and kids loved the coffee shop! There were fresh flowers when we arrived too. The owner was very responsive and gracious!! There was a heat wave while we were there. The central AC worked really well throughout the home so we were comfortable the whole time.

Truly a Cabin in the Woods

Since I am the guy who always plans the Bass Lake trip, I am the guy who gets to pick where we stay. And quite honestly that’s part of the fun. This year I chose Jeff and Allison’s place in the woods. I knew from the photos it would be a great place but didn’t realize until our arrival how spectacular it actually was. We’re talking about a newly built rustic cabin in the woods. It’s very warm and inviting with a feeling of Americana. It’s well maintained and very clean. The large deck in back along with two large picnic tables make it a great place to spend time outside. We found ourselves saying ‘wow’ on more than one occasion. We chose to cook our own meals and the well appointed kitchen made meal prep and serving a snap. As far as sleeping goes there are a number of bunks and trundles and no shortage of places to put people. There are also plenty of crisp white bath linens which I personally love. Truth be told there’s nothing about this cabin that’s NOT to love. We’ll be back next year!

Nice Location -But too many disappointments! Beware Hidden Fees!

The location of this property was very nice, but there were so many things that I was disappointed about that I will not rent this cabin again, nor can I recommend it as a place to stay. We went to the lake almost every day and we went to Yosemite (about an hour away) which is always spectacular. But we did have some down time and hung out at the cabin too. The problem is that there is no internet, no cell service near the cabin, and no TV in the front living room. There is only a computer-sized LCD TV in the downstairs room and an old CRT TV in the kids’ room. Some of the floor lamps didn’t work. When we called the local number the housekeeper came out but couldn’t fix them. We asked about toilet paper and she said normally we have to bring our own, but that “she would offer us a roll.” And then she asked us to make sure we washed the towels before we left because the owners were coming that day we were leaving and she had 2 other houses to clean. Really? What am I paying $300 a night for? I even paid the additional $50 for linen service and I have to do laundry? This is the first time I rented a place from VRBO that required you to bring your own bed sheets or pay extra to use theirs. The patio barbecue is old and dirty. We didn’t even want to use it. The cabin looks wonderful in pics, but it ends up being not very practical. The living room ended up being too small for only the 6 of us (4 adults, 2 kids). The furniture in the front room is all wicker (not comfortable), there is a 2-person couch in the living room and a wooden bench with chair pads and a wicker chair. None of the furniture was comfortable or relaxing. Then, as far as fees and payments go, the owners were more like a property management company. We sent a money order for our deposit and then a personal check for payment before our stay. It was not accepted. I offered to pay by PayPal, which I did, but they charged me for their fees. We checked out on July 25th but I didn’t receive our deposit back until August 19th. That is just ridiculous. I got the feeling that the owners were very wealthy but very cheap. It was reflected in the type of dealings I had with them. My other dealings with VRBO owners have been much more enjoyable and easy. I will definitely come back to Bass Lake with my family but I will choose another location for my next stay.

This cabin is in a great location, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Not too far from the market and the lake! The house was super clean and the beds were also super comfy. We would definitely stay there again!

PERFECT GETAWAY!

Perfect place for a girls getaway. The house has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. It's also walking distance to shops and Ducey's restaurants or bar and grill. Oakhurst, a bigger town with more restaurants, is only 15 minutes away. The neighborhood is clean and quiet but be on the lookout for bears and foxes -- which we saw every day.

Great tental

This property is just as shown. Nicely furnished and lots of beds. We love Bass Lake and have been coming here for 25 years. The weather was beautiful and cabin was a great location.
