In a stylish mansion from the middle of the 19th Century invites you to our newly renovated romantic apartment on the ground floor with a very special atmosphere to stay. The living-room will inspire you: Free truss on the side and ceiling, free brickwork on the front page, an unusual ceiling height of 3.75 m, with one special room for special days. Even sleeping in the bunk bed is a different way than in everyday life.
If you are more people or want an extra bedroom, you can also book another room, access is via the other side of the hallway. If necessary, you can still use a second additional bedroom.

The kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs as self-catering. For Bakery and Pizzeria, there are also a few steps. Modern bathroom with shower. From the house you can take wonderful walks or bicycle to explore the area (bicycle station).

Grocery Stores (Aldi, Edeka, Lidl) in a few minutes.
S6 Cologne - Dusseldorf - Essen 5 min.
A 52 10 minutes, exit Kettwig or Breitscheidstraße.

Very charming city with a convenient stay

We had a short two-night stay as we visited the Zollverein UNESCO site and the lovely town of Ketterwig on our way to Koln. The space had everything we needed and it was very easy to park and walk to all the shops and restaurants and enjoy a great run along the Ruhr path. Peter was very welcoming and helpful and the place suited our needs. It is split into two units but they are across a short hall with your own private entrance and exit.

Very Nice!

Peter is an excellent host. He speaks English well and is very accommodating to those of us who are still learning Deutsch! He gave me lot of helpful info about the area - and Germany, in general. This place has a lot of character and was just perfect for my stay.

What makes this property unique

A house with history is always a personality. In the rooms we have renovated for you, long ago, for example, A quaint cigar shop. And there was also a doctor's office. We have liberated with love the oldest layers, the original wooden floor of 1864 e.g. and the truss and find it very cozy!
