About this property
SEASIDE ESCAPE ON ST. AUGUSTINE BEACH - WHERE OLD IS NEW AGAIN!!!
Welcome to the St. Augustine Beach and Tennis Club Condominiums, one of St. Augustine Beach's truly oceanfront condominium complexes and one of the first “high rise” 4 story condominiums built on Anastasia Island, circa 1976. We have recently updated our building to comply with Florida’s new “Milestone” inspection requirement.
Now is the time to book your Fall or Winter vacation to St. Augustine Beach where you can…
Enjoy our beautiful wide sandy beaches and explore the offerings of Anastasia Island (a 14-mile barrier island). Travel between the white sands of St. Augustine Beach and the Historic City of St. Augustine is just a short scenic drive over the Bridge of Lions across the Matanzas Inlet.
RELAX ON THE BEACH AND AT THE POOLS—SUN, SWIM, FISH, SURF, GO SHELLING, EXPLORE THE ISLAND - OR GET ADVENTUROUS AND CHECK OUT THE OLDEST CITY IN THE U.S. ALONG WITH SOME OF THE BEST CUISINE FLORIDA HAS TO OFFER! GHOST TOURING, ZIPLINING OVER THE ALLIGATOR FARM OR SIMPLY STAR GAZING AND DREAMING...
There’s plenty to do for all ages. BUT COME SEE FOR YOURSELF—
AVAILABLE BY THE WEEK OR MONTH. Perfect for snowbirds or anyone needing a cozy beach retreat. From our first-floor center courtyard unit, it’s a 5 minute walk from your patio to the beach. You can stroll through the courtyard and around the pool area to the boardwalk that stretches over the protected beach dunes. The sloped boardwalk (no steps) allows beachgoers to easily roll coolers and beach equipment to the wide sandy beach. Use of the boardwalk is free to our guests. Access requires a gate code which is provided.
The condo is completely and comfortably furnished (including bed linens and bath towels) for a relaxing getaway. There are some beach towels, beach chairs and boogie boards, but feel free to bring your own.
The unit has 2 Bedrooms + 2 Bathrooms. Sleeps 4 comfortably.
Master bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the second bedroom has twins.
Dining area seats four.
Fully equipped kitchen.
Comcast/Xfinity WIFI and TV included.
Parking is included and your unit is one of the closest to the parking lot, making packing/unpacking suitcases and groceries a breeze!
A bit of history--ST. AUGUSTINE BEACH has consistently been ranked in the top ten of best beaches in the United States. While you can find plenty of information on the history of the City of St. Augustine, here's some additional history about St. Augustine Beach and Anastasia Island:
Until the mid-18th century, the St. Augustine Beach area was used as pasture land for cattle and quarries for coquina. In 1730, Jesse Fish, a businessman from New York, claimed the coastal land south of the lighthouse and established the local citrus industry. The Fish family cultivated this land from 1730 to 1820's. In the 1880's, St. Augustine Beach was called South Beach. The transportation from St. Augustine (the city) was provided via the South Beach Railroad. This train brought tourists to see the alligator farm, quarries, and lighthouse and to relax along the beaches. In 1920 the first hotels in St. Augustine Beach brought tourists who enjoyed this pastoral escape from formal St. Augustine. There were no paved roads. The only way to travel was over the dunes or to drive on the beach. The history of St. Augustine Beach is closely tied to the history of early exploration in North America. The settlements of the French, British and Spanish explorers in this area played an important role in the rich history of Florida and the United States.
