Wonderful Home Base

We stayed here with our 3 year old daughter in late June 2010 and really enjoyed it. The apartment is just as it is shown in the photographs - really beautiful and well-maintained. It really had all the comforts of home and the amenities of a first-rate hotel. The location was great, easy access to everything with plenty of free street parking. Just a block away were great restaurants, a playground, and stores, including a nice little market. The owner was very helpful and kind enough to get us started with some great coffee, fruit, and bread. Pomelo around the corner was fantastic (we HAD to go twice!), and Mitchell's ice cream was a real treat. We will definitely try to stay here on our next visit. Thanks for such a wonderful home away from home!

Home away from home

This was our first experience with VRBO! And we are very glad it was with Robin. We were pleasantly surprised and it surpassed any expectations we held. It looked just like the picture. Very modern and up to date. The neighborhood was close to public transportation and extremely quiet. The people in the neighborhood were nice and helpful. Anytime I had questions about San Francisco, Robin was eager to help. Staying here made our experience worthwhile! We would definitely stay at Robin's place again.

Fantastic space and location. Friendly and helpful host. 15- minute walk to Glen Park BART station

I w-mile walk to Dolores Park. Close to MUNI bus stops. We used MUNI mobile to purchase tickets.

Great, very clean apartment within walking distance to public transport.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Robin's apartment. Located in a wonderful quite neighbourhood and close to access public transport, groceries and take in jazz tunes at the wonderful Bird & Beckett Bookstore. We also enjoyed being able to sit outside in the courtyard in the fresh air. Great apartment Robin, I know we will return.

Great area

I'll start with the pros really nice quiet area supermarkets etc within easy reach by foot. Really easy to get anywhere via public transport. Now the cons everything in the apartment is very tired and could do with being updated. Our main concern was that the bedroom is in the same room as the kitchen only separated by a curtain it's certainly not ideal and the wardrobe to hang your clothes in is also in the bedroom although we swapped things around and hung our clothes in the wardrobe in the sitting room. We checked with the owner first and she was fine with us doing that. The other thing that was disappointing was that the outdoor waterfall was not working and we were looking forward to eating outside next to it. Overall we found the apartment disappointing

Lovely home base for visiting a beautiful city

The apartment provided a delightful home base for exploring San Francisco, and it was surprisingly easy to drive in and out of the City from there. The quiet bedroom was terrific, and the apartment, bright and cheery with high ceilings and lots of character, was a wonderful combination of historic charm and modern convenience. The neighborhood was beautiful and provided the hilly exercise we expect in the City. Street parking was easier than most areas. Thank you to Robin for being a great host and leaving us lovely treats for breakfast, which made the stay all the more enjoyable.

Great stay! Perfect for us, especially because so close to our family we were visiting!

Has everything you would need for short or long stay! Convenient location in nice neighborhood. Comfortable bed. Robin even left us some delicious breakfast items!

Exactly as described, quiet and clean.

Robin greeted us with fruit, yogurt, butter, cream, and fresh sourdough bread soon after our (slightly early) arrival. She gave us a quick run down of the area and of the building's history, answered our questions, made sure we we comfortable and left us to our vacation. The Muni is close to catch a ride into town or just order a Lyft ride and off you go! Thank you Robin!!!

Fantastic Refuge in San Francisco

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home, Robin! It was truly a refuge at the end of each day to come "home" to your quiet neighborhood, safe and peaceful. The house is so spacious, immaculately clean and has all of the amenities we could possibly want. Even the beautiful white robes you provided for us!! The beauty and stylish elegance of your property is something we will always remember, a graceful San Francisco home! The bed was so very comfortable, as well the excellent sofa bed in the living room for my son. And the kitchen had everything we could possibly want for cooking, (which we did a lot of at the end of each day). We shopped at a quaint little market nearby, and also at the Safeway, just a short walk away. Thank you so very much for the pleasant surprise of coffee cream, butter, peaches and bananas! Just what we needed to start the day!! The convenience of your house is so well located to the J Line Metro which we used every day, just 3 short blocks away, and with the use of the clipper cards, we always had excellent transportation! Beautiful & Perfect

Absolutely AMAZING!!!! This property was everything we had hoped it would be and more. Just outside of downtown SF making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to experience the city. Walking distance to parks, shopping, and food stores. Robin is the sweetest!!! Communication back and forth upon arrival was excellent. She made us feel very welcome and comfortable during our stay. She made sure we had everything we needed and greeted us when we arrived. When we return to SF we won't stay anywhere else! Thank you Robin for making this trip so memorable and playing a part in our engagement!!! Much love to you!!!

Lovely rental and time in S.F.

We had a wonderful four day stay in San Francisco. Robin the owner was fantastic and very helpful. The cute little apartment is on the street level, and used to be some store front of some sort. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The outdoor patio with waterfall was well enjoyed. The pull out sofa works great for kids, not sure about adults as it's a bit lumpy. The street parking in the area is free and there is a cute little market on the corner. Easy access to stores, restaurants and public transportation. We look forward to going back some day!

Amazing Indeed !

This property greatly exceeded our high expectations. First of all, Robin was a pleasure to deal with. We mainly communicated via e-mail, and her replies were always friendly and prompt. At the very end of our stay, we met Robin, and she was just as friendly in person. The property was absolutely immaculate and it is huge! This picture doesn't show it, but at its right edge there is a hallway that goes back away at least 30 feet from the street entrance. This hallway leads to the kitchen, dining room, and bedroom. For a light sleeper, such as myself, the fact that the bedroom is in the back of the house was a huge blessing. No street noise! Instead, the bedroom looks out at a deck lined with shrubbery, with a beautiful garden up a few steps. I'd like to emphasize that the interior is completely modern in all respects. And did I mention that it is quiet? I did forget to mention that we found English muffins, fruit, coffee, yogurt, and butter ready for us to enjoy. My wife and I loved staying in Robin's home. It really is amazing.

Great quiet and charming apartment in convenient location

This apartment is very comfortable and quiet and had everything we needed. It has the charm of original San Francisco apartments, with high ceilings and nice moldings and a hallway between the front living room and the back kitchen/dining room and bedroom. It is in a great location, within close walking distance of stores and restaurants on Church Street in Noe Valley, as well as those on Courtland Avenue in Bernal Heights. It is about a 15 minute walk to 24th Street, the bustling shopping and restaurant area in the heart of Noe Valley. And it is not far from the hip part of the Mission district, with new and popular restaurants such as Tartine Manufactory. There is good public transportation nearby. The owner was very helpful and accommodating.

Comfortable, convenient and affordable

Robin's apartment is all that other reviewers have claimed it to be. It is accurate to the pictures, spacious and is convenient to many of the locations that you would want to visit in the Bay area. The area is safe and serviced very well by public transportation. I felt very comfortable in my rental. Robin was very easy to deal with and I enjoyed the neighbourhood with its variety of restaurants and shops. Great for walking. All in all, I had a great vacation and I look forward to returning there again.

Wonderful home, great location - owner was wonderful to work with!

I rented the home for a family Christmas celebration in San Francisco. My sister's home was a 10 minute walk so the location was ideal. The rental was lovely & comfortable - easily accommodated 4 people, close to shops, my SF favorite restaurant and on a nice quiet street. The owner was responsive and great to deal with. A lovely home in a lovely city!!

Home away from home!

We found this property while looking for a place to stay during our week long visit to San Francisco. Having researched a number of properties we decided on this one. This property did not disappoint! The single bedroom unit was completely furnished and the kitchen and laundry utilities were perfect. The owner had fresh fruit and a few things to eat and drink in the refrigerator waiting for us. This charming home is just a short walk from the Muni line. Since we opted to NOT rent a car, this was important to us. We enjoyed being just out of the city but close enough to get downtown to do our sight-seeing. After a busy day of being in the city, I enjoyed 'coming home.' The owner was very good at having open communication and checked on us during our stay. If we ever returned to SF for another extended stay, we would definitely check to see if this property is available before looking elsewhere. We will recommend this property to any of our friends who are traveling to San Francisco.

Lovely, well-cared for place!

The flat is really lovely and quite comfortable. The location is very safe and we were able to walk to nearby stores at night with no problems whatsoever. The owner lives upstairs and was very kind and accessible during our stay and answered questions throughout the time we were there. Lovely property, owner, and no regrets whatsoever.

I have raised two young boys to men in this house and have perfected the place through years of improvements. The downstairs has recently undergone major modern renovations while staying true to it's original design as a Victorian, while the upstairs has been kept in it's original architecture so as to preserve the integrity of the Victorian. My eldest son recently helped put the finishing touches on some of the painting, and I personally chose all the furniture and art within the homes. I reside in San Francisco and still stay at the home occasionally, or provide my family with a unit when visiting. I often introduce myself to occupants and enjoy personally leaving a bowl of fresh organic fruit and some coffee beans for visitors.
