Spectacular Mountain Views. A romantic, cozy, comfortable, well-appointed studio with full kitchen and a patio. An extremely rare find in the region. Dramatic, gorgeous surroundings. Quiet, serene, and close to town, yet a rural mountain setting, away from the crowds of town. Unobstructed, jaw dropping 360° views. Majestic 14,000 ft Wilson Peak is square in front of you and Lizzard Head Peak off to the side. See the right from your comfy king sized bed, before you even move! We are situated on Telluride town's closest Mesa. Deep Creek Mesa is just 12 minutes outside of town and serves as a significant wildlife corridor, allowing the great herds of elk to move from the high terrain, through our neighborhood and down to the valley floor. You'll see cars lined up on the way to town photographing the great herds grazing or sparing on on the valley floor. We see the herds all around our place, often babies in tow. Peaceful, serene Mesa feel, but close to Telluride town. A remote rural feel, but unlike staying on any of the other incredibly beautiful mesas surrounding Telluride, we are just 12 minutes to the great shops and world class restaurants of Telluride. The Deep Creek Trailhead is 1/4 mile up the road from the studio, with hundreds of thousands of acres of trails and wilderness for hiking, mountain biking, and exploring these majestic San Juan mountains. The Great Herds of elk and other wildlife can often be seen from the studio windows (see photos). The view from the studio and from the patio are breathtaking all year around. Watch stunning Alpine Glow sunrises right from the comfort of your king sized bed, and the sunsets are absolutely spectacular. At sunrise, first light on the tip of Wilson Peak is pink! See photos here or see it from your window if you're an early riser. The studio is well appointed, very comfortable and private, with a babbling mountain stream in the summer & fall. The studio is private with a separate entrance and a patio w BBQ and two chaise lounges to enjoy the sunshine and views on. The main house and the studio don't share any walls, so it's got good separation and plenty of privacy. The studio is the only rental on our 15 acre property. We have had the pleasure of hosting our third successful marriage proposal this past fall! This is a truly unique and very special spot!

The fine linens make your stay feel luxurious and comfortable. Fully appointed kitchen. Dining table expands so create a large table for your workspace when needed. Our road is plowed every day that we have snowfall.

DIRECTIONS: Google doesn’t take you there! It'll land you about a mile off target so if you use navigation to get here use WAZE instead.
From town take Airport Road. Go 2 miles, then turn right on Last Dollar Road. Go 1 mile and you're here. Studio is down the stone steps on the East side of the house which will lead you down to your stone patio and "private" entrance. Studio Guest Parking is the East (left) space in driveway, closest to studio, leaving both garage bays open, please.
