Location, location, location!!!
'Beach Haven,' as we call our home, has 3200 sq. feet and was built in 2006. It is the first home as you enter a gated community of 15 homes and HAS THE BEST LOCATION OF ANY RENTAL PROPERTY WE KNOW OF ON PENSACOLA BEACH!!! Walk a few steps to the beach, the pool, the bay, or the bike path - or just sit on the balcony and watch the waves, the sunset, the surfers, and the dolphins! The physical address for the home is 1 Calle Marbella, Gulf Breeze, Florida.
Beach Haven has beautiful, sweeping, unobstructed views of the beach from the large windows in every room of the house. The living area is much larger than in most homes, and all bedrooms are upstairs. Two King Master Suites are located in the “towers” and have attached large bathrooms. The West Tower Suite has a shower and a soaking tub, while the East Suite has a shower only but does have the added bonus of a door leading directly to the outside balcony.
The two Queen Bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower only. Both of these Queen bedrooms have a loft bed built in over the closet. These beds are appropriate for children ages 12 and up. It is your responsibility to determine if your child (or adult for that matter) can safely navigate the ladder up to the loft bed. We simply can’t be responsible for any falls due to the use of the loft beds. The King bedrooms have plenty of floor space to accommodate air mattresses, but the Queen bedrooms do not.
The “Surf Shack” is located down in the garage and has bunk beds with full on bottom / twin on top, a couch and a flat screen TV. This room is not near a bathroom, but seems perfectly suited for tweens/teens to stay up all night playing video games and texting. Additional sleeping areas are located on the main living area. The sofa is a queen sleeper, another chair pulls out into a twin bed, and a stylish bench is a cleverly disguised twin mattress
The beach is just a few feet away, however, you do have to cross a two lane road. Don't let this alarm you, the beach is VERY easy to access. I have stepped it off myself, and it is 100 steps from my door until I hit sand. A bike path runs right in front of the house also, so it is great fun and very easy to ride bikes into town. The pool is about the same distance from the house as the beach. It is shared by all the houses in the subdivision and ranges from 3.5 feet to 6.5 feet at its deepest. Then, you can walk right down to the bay, which is about a block. The subdivision has a pier, and it is always fun to set out the crab trap. I’ve found that younger kids actually prefer playing in the bay area where there are less waves and lots of interesting creatures. Last year my kids found live sand dollars and collected and raced their own hermit crabs. I’ve also heard from my renters that the fishing from the pier is quite fun. The house has unique hardwood teak floors and ceilings, beautiful granite countertops, marble bathrooms, Wi-Fi, flat screen televisions in every bedroom, a front loading washer and dryer, and a fully stocked kitchen. All linens are provided. I provide enough paper products to get you started. What more could you want??!!
You will want to secure these dates as soon as possible, as we cannot hold your dates without a deposit. Please be aware that requests come in daily and I will book the first guests that meet the reservation criteria. If you decide to book Beach Haven:
1. First send me an e-mail letting me know that you want to book the home for the dates indicated. Please include your full name, address and cell phone number in this E-Mail.
2. If all information is in order, I will then send you a contract and instructions for payment.
3. To book the house, I require ½ of the total rental fee, plus the $500 refundable damage deposit. The remaining ½ must be paid 30 days prior to your arrival.
No pets, parties, or smoking allowed. Any evidence of any of these activities will result in a forfeiture of your entire deposit. If you have a boat or RV – it must be parked off site or fit in the garage. Our neighbors are only too happy to report parties or other neighborhood rule violations and persistent violations of any rules will result in your eviction from the house.
If for some reason you must cancel, please notify me IMMEDIATELY and I will work diligently to rebook the house in order that you may receive a full refund.
We want all of our guests to treat this home as if it were their own, well…maybe even better. We bought the house out of foreclosure last year and it was stripped to the bones – no door knobs, light fixtures, appliances … even the bathroom sinks were missing! We spent long hours restoring and furnishing the house, so we are looking for families and groups that will treat it (almost) as lovingly as we do.
