The cabin was spacious, hot tub heated quickly, fireplace is large and location is perfect for fly fishing the Soque (and other nearby streams). Also located very close to Helen (Alpine of the South) and all the great restaurants. My two sons and I have an annual fly fishing tradition in the Northeast Georgia mountains. They both are lobbying a return stay next year.

Awesome pics. Thank you for your stay. Please come back anytime. :)).
We absolutely LOVED this cabin. It was perfect for pur family and we brought our ESA shih tzu. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. It is down a pretty long dirt road but if you can get passed that, it is perfect and quiet. It was exactly what we needed and only about a 20 min drive from Helen.

Thank you Viktoriya, we hope you have a wonderful rest of the year. Cant wait to see you next time.
It waa a great experience for my family as it was the first time they stayed in the woods. The secluded location was perfect! Well definitely come back!
Overall we had a great time there was some hiccups like the rough road which we expected. The dishwasher was broken, but I let them know and he said he was going to replace it. Also one of the toilets had a bit of a problem flushing eventually it sorted itself out though. We definitely got our use out of the hot tub, fire pit and pool table. The beds were comfortable. I would definitely consider going back.
Visiting the area for our Neice's wedding and we enjoyed staying at the lodge. We did not receive the welcome letter from VRBO for the WIFI access information but Rob was helpful with the information. The last mile down the access road was gravel single lane and hilly but the SUV did well with it. Nice community around the lodge and finding the river was a easy hike. Beautiful location.
Twin River Lodge is a BEAUTIFUL home. The amenities are wonderful. There were a few hiccups as indicated below; the cabin had not been cleaned prior to arrival and the water was shut off for several hours due to a water leak somewhere in the community. We will not stay here again due to the HORRIBLE road into the community - dangerous and bad for vehicles.
Since lots of others commented on the road to the cabin, I’ll start there. It’s no worse, and no better, than the other cabins we have rented in the area. The last mile or so isn’t paved, and it’s steep in places. You have to pay close attention, especially at night, but it certainly wasn’t as bad as other reviews had me expecting. Even after a torrential downpour, we had no issues. For the 6 of us (4 adults, 2 teens), the cabin was lovely, the two bedrooms both have full size beds, the loft has a queen. The bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed, and I love that the loft had its own bathroom. The kitchen area also had everything we needed. It was cleanish. The floor had someone else’s crumbs left behind. The porches are fantastic. There is a path that runs next to the river where we saw turtles, and a river otter. Our only issue was a bat, probably seeking shelter from the rain, that we think entered through the chimney. But we opened the front doors and he found his way to freedom. I would totally stay here again.
This large but cozy property is amazing! Having a pool table right there in the main living area is great! Hallmark channel playing in background while playing pool is life!
We enjoyed both fireplaces and the hot tub!
You do need to bring your own fireplace wood and we collected kindling wood from the property.
The beds were very comfy. Everything was clean and updated!
The washer and dryer looked brand new and they even provided laundry detergent!
The bath towels were a lil scratchy though. Hubby didn’t notice but I did.
We were running low on paper towels and Rob quickly brought us more with a smile on his face.
You do need to log into your own streaming channels as there is no live tv or cable.
The last mile or so is gravel/sand/rocks/unpaved. Being from flat Florida this was an experience. It is quite dark on the road at night. Thankfully we had rented a car with four wheel drive.
We saw a family a deer on the property the first night!!
Kitchen is fully stocked. Drip coffee maker, not Keurig.
Previous renters had left coffee which was nice and Rob had provided a small amount of gourmet coffee. Bring your own Stevia etc.
the fridge is great and has an icemaker and a water dispenser!
The showers were fantastic!
Upstairs bathroom had its own freestanding heater which was heavenly as it was cold when we were there.
There is also a central heat throughout the cabin.
Rob has nightlights throughout the house.
Cotnhole and BBQ are right there next to the hot tub on the beautiful wraparound porch!
It was a nice 20 minute or so drive into Helen Georgia.
Blow dryers are provided in all three bathrooms.
We highly recommend this cabin! Nobody told a few friends about it and they are looking into it!
The price is right for such a new and large cabin!

Thank you so much for such a great review. We try really hard to have our guests feel like they are in a little oasis and able to tune everything out. It means a lot for the 5 star review. Thank you and we hope to see you guys back soon.
My wife and I were more than impressed with the cabin overall, from the cleanliness, the updated appliances, the amenities and ease of use of everything (including the TV and Wifi). The property was well maintained and the location was very good. If I had anything constructive to say, it would be to give a little advance warning about the last mile drive, with respect the the "1 vehicle wide" gravel road leading in. Normaly not an issue, but there are a few areas were it would have been impossible to "move over" to allow another vehicle to pass...one vehicle or the other would of had to back up and on this trail/road, that would have been arduous, especially at night. Having said that, if someone was arriving after dark for the first time, they might of thought they were on the wrong road. All that being said, traffic on this road was sparse and although we only went out in the morning and back in the late afternoon, we never came across another vehicle on the road at the same time as us. My other thing I would say is that the pool table, (although nice) had black felt/rails and in the low light conditions of the cabins lighting (6 of the 8 overhead lights were out), it was really hard to see when my and my wife were playing after dark. I would suggest either- 1: Swapping the cloth to traditional green/blue (or even tan) or 2: Adding a nice decorative light above the table.
BUT.... even with those things I just mentioned, this was my wife and I's favorite cabin we have stayed in to date!
We loved our stay! The cabin is absolutely beautiful and has all the needed amenities. It's very spacious and very nicely designed. We loved the pool table, the jacuzzi, and the grill. The beds were very comfy too! It's close to Tallulah State park, Toccoa Falls and Helen. Rob, the property manager, is very responsive, which is greately appreciated.
The only thing I wish was different is the road to the cabin - it's kind of steep and was a bit challenging for us to navigate during rainy weather in our minivan.
The previous reviews are spot on. The cabin and property look as good or better than the pictures.
This cabin and property is awesome! The inside is perfect.. cozy and comfortable for everyone. We enjoyed the hot tub at night , fire pit, and the pool table. The beds were comfortable and the place is very clean.
We always saw deer on our drive into the property. My kids loved the rocky trail ride into the community. I would do it again.
Absolutely gorgeous property. Clean, well appointed, and very relaxing. The pictures don't do it justice. The road in and out was a little scary, but once we were there, we didn't want to leave. Hot tub soaks watching fireflies, grilling burgers and hot dogs while playing corn hole, and shooting multiple games of pool were the highlights of the property. I would love to come back.
My entire group really loved the open layout this property had. It was so beautiful. The beds were very comfy! The location was not far from adventures. It was a great weekend.
This beautiful cabin(lodge) was perfect for our family. We just wanted to spend Christmas together yet be able to escape at the same time. I myself was quite amused when I looked out the front doors and saw "Big Foot" in the woods!

About the host
Hosted by Rob Papp
We are a home builder company that loves renovating and building custom cabins and homes since 1985. We have always been in the vacation rental market and wanted to bring something special to our area for people to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
This lodge used to be a community center for the cabins around it and as you can tell from the pictures it had so much character we couldn't pass up the opportunity to turn it into something really special that everyone can enjoy. We loved the location for people; not too far from the highway but still far enough away to forget everything around you and focus on relaxing and making memories with your family and friends.
What makes this property unique
Every customer should expect to have the full cabin experience here at our property. The cabin sits right next to the Soquee River which is full of large trout and is a big destination for fisherman; It also happens to be very beautiful. The cabin itself feels very large and sprawling with its wrap around porch and vaulted ceilings. We are sure it will impress anyone who stays.
