Cottage is nestled in the woods overlooking a peaceful, park-like expanse, about 350 feet to the lake. Plenty of space for Bocce Ball and getting in a decent walk.

Small, no-wake fishing lake - great fishing in summer and winter!

320 sq ft studio space with a comfortable Queen size bed and a loveseat pull-out bed.

Well-equipped kitchenette and a small bathroom with a shower. There’s a desk with a Herman Miller chair in case you need to whip out a few emails in between fishing and kayaking.

Such a beautiful property. The owner is so kind and friendly and Baxter is so sweet! It's such a quiet lake and we loved having fun canoeing and kayaking!

Beautiful view of the lake. The cabin was very cozy. The whole experience was enjoyable and relaxing. Relaxing by the lake watching deer was wonderful.The highlite of our stay were the visits from Miss Baxter, the Labrador Retriever. She was always so well behaved and so happy to see us.

Very relaxing

It was a wonderful property with a short walk down to the lake. The lake was so calm and beautiful. The cottage was very cute and felt very private, even being on the same property as host. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The property is gorgeous with lots of woods and wildlife. The bed was excellent for us. We spent most of our time relaxing around the fire pit. Leslie and Tim are very gracious hosts and have nicely supplied the cottage. Baxter is wonderful and fun! We would not hesitate to return.

Quiet Place in the Woods

Just a great place to get away and read a book and relax. Quiet place with great little touches. Front porch with a fan was our favorite place. We walked in to anything and everything we could ask for a quiet little getaway. We forgot sugar for coffee in the morning that was delivered to our cabin. Great hosts and wonderful people.

Honeymoon getaway

If you want to go somewhere thats peaceful and quiet and BEAUTIFUL... then this is your spot. Its on the owners property but you dont even know theyre there. They are very welcoming and they have the most loveable dog Baxter. Great place to unwind and get away from chaos and craziness of the real world. Definitely planning on going back.

Perfect solo getaway

The cottage is small but solid, clean, newly furnished, and well appointed. Everything you might need (with the possible exception of laundry) is right here. The little porch has plenty of comfortable seating and was a great place to read even during a rain storm. The owners--and their dog--are very friendly and responsive, and the no-wake lake is calm and perfect for reading, fishing, kayaking, etc. Perfect retreat spot. I'll be back.

Peaceful lake retreat

My two teens and myself loved the cottage and lake for a peaceful getaway. The owners truly want you to enjoy their property and make everything very enjoyable! I’ve stayed at many other properties but this one felt like home away from home with the little details. We enjoyed fishing (caught several bass), kayaking, canoeing, and swimming using the floating swim pad. Can’t wait to come back another time! We also all enjoyed sweet Baxter coming by to say hello! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful property with us!

JUST NATURE!!

For a few years I have wanted to go somewhere where you couldn’t hear any cars or sounds of the towns. This place was an oasis of natural sounds and sights. When it hit night time it was DARK no light pollution at ALL! The whole trip I didn’t hear a thing but these beautiful birds. They also had an amazingly intelligent dog there that was just a peach and the highlight of my whole trip. I loved it so much it’s an amazing place for anyone.

Quiet and Cute

This was the perfect little cabin for a week of peaceful time. I also had to work and the WIFI worked well for both Zoom and Teams meetings. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There were kayaks available to use on the small no-wake lake. I enjoyed time on the floating dock as well. Leslie was a wonderful host and really thought of all the items needed for a week long stay. The water heater had nice hot water, but it is a small tank so showers are quick. I highly recommend this place for a single person or a couple.

Beautiful and peaceful location, small but nice cottage

Loved it here! Leslie and Tim were so nice and accommodating and put a lot of thought into the cottage and all it’s amenities. And their dog Baxter is so sweet! The lake is so quiet and beautiful, and we had fun fishing. Caught a few almost every time we went out. Never more than 4 boats on the water and it’s no-wake, so quiet. Loved watching and listening to all the birds in all the woods around; saw deer and rabbits too. Wish there was a better view of the lake from the cottage and there is a bit of a walk with an incline to/from it. Would definitely return there! Would not recommend the cottage for more than 3 adults as it is quite small.

We’re Tim and Leslie, and we are looking forward to meeting you.

Tim is retired from the biotech industry where he did research in genetics and Leslie is still working in the medical device industry.

We moved back to Michigan in 2019 after being gone for more than a decade and have since completely rebuilt the house and remodeled this cottage. We feel that this beautiful, serene corner of the world is simply too lovely to keep to ourselves, so we’ve decided to share it with you.

In addition to completely remodeling the cottage and rebuilding the house, we have added a new member to our family, our beautiful Chocolate Lab – Baxter! She’s loveable and well-mannered (mostly), so we hope you’ll enjoy seeing her about the property. She will probably say hello. If you’re not inclined towards dogs please let us know and we will do our best to keep her closer to the house.
