Large Beachfront 5 Bedroom Home

Bedrooms 5
Space 3,850 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 7 - 12 nights

About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 4 Baths, (Sleeps 14-18)

Located on a private road, this LARGE 5 bedroom 4 bath home is ready for your Private Get-a-way. The Kitchen is Spacious with room for all and has all of our standard amenity’s such as Stove, Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Garbage Disposal, Toaster, Blender and more. The dining table seats ten, and there are three bar stools at the Kitchen counter.

But why dine inside? There is a picnic table in the Beach side yard along with another table and seating, and if the Menehunes are sprinkling you with a cool Tropical Shower, just seat yourselves on the 1,100 sq ft Covered Lanai Mauka (Mountain) side of the house.

The living area has a large 60 inch wall mounted HD flat screen, and of course, there is wireless Internet. Relax on the comfy furniture or take a nap on the Living Rooms California King Size Pune’e while gazing out at the Pacific Blue.

There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, two on one side of the home, the other opposite, each with a Queen bed. Two of these bedrooms are Ocean side for a Spectacular view of the Pacific while lying in bed. There is a full Bathrooms on each end of the upstairs.

Downstairs are two more Bedrooms, each with a Queen bed and set of trundle’s (2 single beds). There is another Full Bath in the Hallway next to the Laundry room with it’s Front Load Washer and Dryer.

We also have an additional trundle bed we use as a "location optional'' unit

A 4th bathroom with shower is located outside.

As for the beach which is LESS THAN 100 FT from the patio , Malaekahana Bay is just about everyone's idea of the perfect Hawaiian beach. This Beach is praised by quite a few reviewers, such as Frommers, Home and Abroad, Sunset to name a few. Even in the old Hawaiian day’s, it was known as a place of Sacred Refuge for the Heart, Mind and Soul.

It’s crescent shaped bay with a mile of deserted walking beach is perfect for Swimming, Snorkeling, Surfing, Boogie Boarding, Kite Surfing and Beach combing for the Famous Glass Balls. With it’s limited access, it’s secluded almost to the point of deserted, but you may bump into the occasional fisherman whipping for Papio or the venerable throw net master.

Get adventurous and take a stroll out to Mokuauia, also known as Goat Island. About 750 yds off the Malaekahana beach, this island holds two of the sweetest little sandy beaches of its own. Excellent Snorkeling.

The island is a protected Turtle and seabird sanctuary, but may be visited and there is a trail around the island. Take a stroll around it and when you find your spot on the beach to enjoy the view of Oahu from offshore, lay back in the sand on your own little deserted island. When you get back to your home away from home, there is an outside shower to rinse off the sand for as well as an additional enclosed bathroom with shower accessable only from the exterior.

Restaurants, horseback riding, hiking, ocean sports, and many other activities are very close by. We are two miles north of Laie with it’s Foodland Grocery store and other local dining as well as a few franchise establishments. BYU and the Polynesian Cultural Center are within another mile.

We are three miles south of the Turtle Bay Resort where there are 36 holes of championship golf and a extensive tennis facility and pro shop. Casual as well as Fine Dining are available here.

Another ten minutes away is the famous surfing beaches of Oahu's North Shore including “Sunset”, 'Pipeline' “Rocky Point”. Two miles more will get you to Sharks cove and 'Waimea Bay'.

We recommend paying by Echeck vs Credit Card to avoid 3% CC fee + 3% YapStone fee.

Another GREAT Place at a GREAT Price giving You more than a set of Key’s !

Beautiful Beachhouse in Paradise

  • 5 of 5

This house had everything advertised and so much more! My family stayed for a week this January, 2018, and didn’t have a single complaint about the home, except that we had to leave it! The kitchen is well stocked with every possible necessity for cooking family meals. The gas grill on the porch is a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors and beautiful scenery while keeping the heat of cooking outside. The beds are plentiful and comfortable and with five rooms, three full inside access bathrooms and one outside the family can comfortably live together without bouncing off of each other like crazy. The beach is just steps away down the grass from the backyard. Swimming is possible but you have to beware of the rocks about ten feet into the water. There were snorkelers, surfers, windsurfers, fishermen, and plenty of other types of ocean enjoyment happening right there throughout our stay. There are surfboards, boogie boards, snorkels, masks and fins and water shoes in a variety of sizes provided for the guest’s enjoyment. Nancy and Ohana were great to us and were able to get us both an early check in and a late check out. We had a fire alarm battery start chirping during our stay and they came right by to replace it for us. This is definitely the beach house for families looking for a relaxed beach vacation away from the crowded beaches of Waikiki! With travel times to anywhere on Oahu of an hour it’s easy to access any outing you want to take and still return to your secluded beach house at the end of every day!

Perfect for a family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great family rental for all ages. The rooms are spacious and clean, the kitchen is well-equipped and the beach is very private and just outside the back door. The grandsons especially enjoyed the large yard for running, soccer and baseball!

Bill and Nancy were most helpful with everything and we will make every effort to come back for another longer stay :).

Thanksgiving in Oahu

  • 5 of 5

Hawaii is called paradise for many reasons but what made this trip memorable is the location and state of the property and the service extended by Bill and Nancy - property managers:

1) location and state of property - the property is located in a serene and secluded beach yet close enough to restaurants and supermarkets and countless beach activities such as snorkeling, surfing etc. The house has direct access to the beach and if you are an early riser - well you can experience a sunrise while sipping your cup of coffee or tea. The house is big and is well stocked (from boogie boards to waffle maker) and has internet access and cable (in case you cant tune out). It also has a big yard where the kids can play with a big lanai. The house is very private and quiet

2) Bill and Nancy made us always feel welcome and were available if so needed. We took them up on their request. Considering that this was our first Thanksgiving in Oahu, we wanted to shy away from the typical dinner at home and so Bill suggested that we attend an Imu with them. What an experience! The turkey came out great after having been buried in a fire pit for 14 hours and the host and friends were very warm and welcoming. We had a lot of fun

Overall, a great place to stay at. The property managers are simply great to work with. They are very accommodating and strive to make your stay a pleasant and memorable one - after all you just came to paradise

Owner's Response: Aloha Jonathan Mahalo for the wonderful review. Yes, secluded is the word on this beach and the Sunrises are Beautiful ! Glad you enjoyed the local markets and activity's that abound around the area. It was our pleasure to have you join us at our annual Thanksgiving Imu. Kind of different burying your food with red hot rocks, banana leaves and burlap eh ! LOL I'm sure we will see your group in parts or whole in the future and we look forward to seeing you again. Perfect Hawaiian Family Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

This was our second family vacation to the Pa Hauoli House. We took our children and our eleven grand-kids to Hawaii for a family vacation celebrating our retirement. Just driving up the country road to the house is such a relaxing experience and it always feels like I have arrived in a tropical paradise. A common reaction of our children upon first seeing the house is, "Is this it? Are we really going to get to stay here?" From the huge yard and large patio (where we barbecued and I think ate every meal) to the stunning ocean view from the ocean side of the house, it doesn't get any better than this. We had an adult versus kids game of capture the flag on the football field size lawn. The house is well furnished with kitchen appliances and cookware, stocked with games, towels, surf boards and much more. A favorite spot to relax was sitting beneath the shade trees at beach edge and reading or watching the grand-kids playing in the surf and watching turtles coming up for air. The only problem was it was so relaxing I would drop my book as I nodded off and lose my place. The grand-kids were occupied for hours building a "survivor" shelter on the beach from palm fronds and drift wood.

Even in what is considered a busy tourist month, we had miles of beach to ourselves. The house is close to Turtle Bay Resort so my sons and I were able to play golf at the Fazio and Palmer Courses, the kids played in the tide pools at "Shark's Cove" and the older ones had a thrill jumping off the rock at Waimea Beach.

A real treat for us has been getting to know Bill and Nancy and their Ohana, the caretakers of the property. They are so helpful and attentive to ensure that everything was set for our large family. The quality of their service and friendly help for anything we needed makes this place even more of a treasure.

Paradise Found!

  • 5 of 5

Our four families, ranging in age from 2 to 78, flew from as far away as Canada and the East Coast to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary together at Pa Hauoli. The real Hawaiian house is welcoming, open, comfortable and clean. From the lanai in front of the house with tables and chairs, a lawn stretches towards a row of ironwood trees from where you look down upon the long beach framing Malaekahana Bay and the waves of the Pacific ocean. Sometimes we pulled up a few chairs to sit in the shade of the trees, with Naupaka blooming abundantly on the side, watching the children play in the waves, until the temptation became too much and we joined them. We saw turtles "fly" slowly just under the surface of the waves and watched kiteboarders develop enormous speed, veering back and forth in the distance.

We had family time on the large back lanai with two long tables seating all of us, and the back lawn below was wonderful for the grandchildren to play. There were games for every age, beach towels and toys, we never lacked anything.

In the immediate area of Pa Hauoli there was something to do for everybody. Five of us went deep sea fishing from Haleiwa Harbor with Jared Dow and his Flyer, caught a 120 lb tuna on the way back, and went home with 25 lb filleted and cleaned ahi, which served all of us with plenty of poke and ahi steaks off the barbecue.

Eight of us hiked the 3.5 mile Nakoa trail through Kahana, the wettest valley on Oahu, crossing two streams, all of us visited other nearby beaches, some good for swimming, some for snorkeling, boogie boarding, you name it.

In short: we had a wonderful, relaxing vacation away from the crowds, and enjoyed Hawaiian hospitality. Thank you Nancy and Ohana!

Better than what we had hoped for!

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with the spacious house right on the beach. We had five couples staying for seven nights and we loved every minute of it. The rooms are large and well maintained and the three indoor bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The proximity to a quiet beach was amazing and a welcomed site after visiting more touristy areas. This property is on the outskirts of Laie which is a quiet community that has some excellent restaurants and a decent grocery store with pretty much everything you need. Our favorite places to eat were Pounders, 7 Brothers, and Angel's ice cream.

The house came with boogie boards and a couple of surf boards. We didn't know that these would be provided and we were so glad that they were there! It was nice to be able to go right out the door to go play at the beach. The large deck was a great place to gather in the evenings and we used the grill a couple of times for some great at-home dinners. We had a great time here. Our group included 10 adults but I'm sure it would not be uncomfortable with additional children running around.

Owner's Response: Aloha Brian. We're glad you all enjoyed our home and that we were able to give you "More Than a Set of Key's". As you mentioned, the property is close to shopping and several local eatery's yet in a very secluded area with an almost deserted beach. Grilling at the home is always enjoyable with it's great view from our deck. Mahalo for the excellent review, we're sure we'll see you again. and hopefully you'll bring the rest of the family. Aloha and ahui ho ! Nancy and Ohana
