About Tom & Leann Howard
We are Tom and Leann Howard and have two adult children and a few Boxers. Our son John is the oldest and our youngest is daughter, Jessica. This Craftsman Style Cabin was constructed by us, the Owners. It has taken a few years and we are so excited to finally be able to share it with others! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Tom & Leann Howard purchased this Cabin in 2016
Why Tom & Leann Howard chose Hot Springs
We fell in love with the property because of the beauty and abundance of outdoor activities available. Where else can you enjoy the River and Mountains and have the quaint town of Hot Springs nearby and also a short drive to Asheville, NC. Tom grew up camping in Paint Creek (Just down the road from the Cabin) as a child and spent many summers swimming in the clear cold water and hiking the many trails that the Cherokee National Forest offers. We accidentally stumbled upon this spot on a full moon night after a visit to the Hot Springs Spa Hot Tubs. We fell in love with this spot and couldn't get it out of our minds. It is an amazing place to decompress and enjoy family and friends.
What makes this Cabin unique
River front, private, large outdoor living space with room for several tents in the summer if needed. Also access to 5 acre common area that has pavilion and fire pit and ability to pull out larger rafts there. Common area is owned by 6 different owners inc. us and if you happen to meet them they are a cool bunch to get to know. "There are some restrictions to use of common area." Great place to ride Bicycles, walk, hike, sit around and play music and get inspired by nature. Avid bird watchers tell us that this area is a local hot spot for bird watching. Short drive to Asheville and about an hour and a half to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the areas of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and theme park, Dollywood.

Amazing cabin!
The cabin was even more beautiful in person than it was on the website. We absolutely loved our stay. The town of Hot Springs is gorgeous and there was lots of outdoor activities to do. The cabin's location is very secluded and walking distance to some spectacular hikes. But even hanging out on the porch and not leaving the property is a wonderful time. The hosts were fabulous in giving us many ideas for things to do and setting up an itinerary should we need it.
Highly recommended and We will definitely return.
Wow...what a wonderful place!! Highly recommend this cabin! Thank you for sharing Leann and Tom!
We loved our time here. The cabin is done very well. Loved the large deck area...right on the river. All you need is here!!
Beautiful and relaxing. The perfect retreat
Excellent get away spot. The cabin blew away our already high expectations we had from the pictures. Everything was perfect. We left convinced we wanted to buy it. It will warm your soul.
Absolutely perfect!
I had the perfect weekend getaway here! We loved the fire pit outside and the inside was very nice and clean. Would visit again!
Beautiful home! Perfect weekend!
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home in the mountains overlooking the river. Home is perfect for 2 couples. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is fully stocked with pot, pans and cooking utensils for meals. We enjoyed a fire each night! We hope to come back and visit again.
Great place to stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at the house. It has everything you would need to relax. Although the weather was cold when we were there the house was very warm!!! Be sure to put the address in long before you start coming down the mountains because there is no cell service on the bottom. The WIFI at the house works good and there's a landline to use. I highly recommend the Smokey Mountain Diner in Hot Springs. The food was very good and the prices were very reasonable. Its a bit of a trip to get to any decent size town but if you are going here to get away from it all then you have arrived.
Location
Located 6 miles Down River from the town of Hot Springs, which will take around 10 minutes to drive. The drive is 3 miles of pavement and 3 miles of gravel.
