Sweeping snow-capped Continental Divide views from Mount Evans to Indian Peaks to Longs Peak from this home nestled on 7+ acres on Scar Top Mountain. Located at the top of a county maintained road, this property offers a truly rare combination of spectacular views, privacy, ultra fast fiber high speed Internet, and limited/no noise pollution while maintaining proximity to Boulder, Golden, and Nederland.

Guest access:

Guests will be provided a keycode for entrance and will be able to access the entire house, property, and two car garage.

Other things to note:

Property is located off a well maintained county road that is accessible by all vehicle types. In winter (roughly Oct-April), this road is plowed, but AWD or 4WD is required.

Property has high quality fiber Internet for WiFi calling with any cell phone. Traditional cell coverage can be limited, but AT&T does also have 5 bars of service.

The view from the house is really tremendous! We spent Thanksgiving there and the kitchen was very well equipped and well stocked with cookware Given the amount of glass and where it's located, the house was very warm and draft free. The house was clean and he beds very comfortable. The only negative for us was that the furniture is a little sparse, but it s exactly as pictured on the listing. So that was as I expected. All in all a great stay.

Beautiful View

This mountain home had everything we needed. It was so cozy and much bigger than anticipated. My son had a blast with the air hockey. Would definitely stay here again.

Scar Top Mountain Escape is amazing!!!! Beautiful views and great house!! Super clean and exceptional communication with Phil. Plenty of room to relax, very nice well appointed kitchen, and a cozy wood burning fireplace insert. We celebrated our daughter’s graduation from University of Denver with her MSW.We definitely would return!!

The home was beautiful, ideal layout for a large group and amazing views!! The host was so very kind and gracious. He is extremely responsive and thorough in his communications regarding the home. Would absolutely stay there again!

Family outing

My kids and I had a few days to explore and this was a great spot for us. The Internet and amenities kept them busy during our downtime and the view is amazing. Its larger than I expected and is very clean. In-garage parking excellent bonus..

We had an amazing stay! The views were absolutely breathtaking—easily the highlight of the trip. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Wonderful family stay

We loved everything about this house and what made it a plus was the host who was attentive to every little detail and in constant communication with us if we had a question. The view was amazing and the property itself was clean & a great home away from home for some family quality time. We definitely cherished our time here, hopefully will book again soon in the future!

Awesome views!

We had a wonderful week visiting our son. Property was clean, beds comfortable, and views from every room were breathtaking! We were fortunate enough to see about 6 inches of snow one night which was a bonus, even though we were not able to make it quite up the shared driveway even in a AWD but it all worked out well and didn’t hinder anyone or any plans we had. Phil is a wonderful host!

Bachelor Weekend

This was the perfect house for a weekend with the fellas. Fantastic views, a good kitchen, easy access to town and ski resorts. We were as happy to hang out at the house as do anything else!

Great communication with host, easy check-in. Beautiful views, great property. Small items not available so need to bring things like soap, shampoo, extra paper towels, etc. Would certainly stay again, family loved the deck and foosball.

Fantastic View

The process was easy from booking the property to checking out. Phil, the owner, was so easy to work with. The property was just what we were looking for. Waking up to that view will be a memory we will carry with us. We look forward to our next visit to the Colorado Rockies.

Million dollar view

Absolutely beautiful views. It's a great location with access to many wonderful attractions and parks. The property is clean but could use a few updates with pots pans, stove, and lack of homey touches. The hot water is HOT so be careful. Local dining and even live music, too...Overall a beautiful place we would enjoy visiting again

Beautiful secluded location, fantastic views from the deck, convenient drive to local attractions. House is comfortable but has minimal furnishings. West-facing windows provide great views from inside but quickly heat up the entire main floor on hot, sunny summer days, no matter how many portable fans we brought in to use with the ceiling fans and curtains drawn to block sun. No blinds or curtains on upper portion of the living room wall window or in the kitchen/dining area really cooked the house. In contrast, many other days were cool and comfortable in the evenings. The basement bedrooms stayed cool at all times. The host was responsive and answered any questions we had. All in all, we would rent the house again, but not during a heat wave.

Colorado Mountain Dream

Everything is exactly as seen on the online photographs. The views are amazing. The house is very comfortable and even the roads to access the property during the summer months were easier than we had anticipated. As was said on an earlier review, I strongly suggest that you bring camp chairs with you as the outdoor seating is not overly comfortable. Also, be prepared that some kitchen supplies may be limited, but the property manager will have more brought over.

Great View!

The house was beautiful, but could have used a little warmth and decor. The kitchen was well equipped, except the plates were chipped and there were no dish towels. Also, there were very few glasses. We needed "rocks" glasses or cocktail glasses, and there were only water and wine glasses. So little things like that would have made it better. The shower was hot and views were spectacular!! I would highly reccommend and definitely would return! :)

Fantastic Views! Lots of space!

This house is amazing! I didn't think the the views would live up to what was shown in the pictures, but it far exceeded my expectations! I took a hike straight up the hill behind the house only to find even more amazing views of the area, with the dam and reservoir in the distance. It was nice to have a spacious garage to park in for loading in and out on our daily adventures. The house itself had more than enough room for the 4 of us. We stayed 5 nights, and on the last day, we stayed all day at the house. This would be a great place to get away and not leave if you're not coming to do the Colorado tourist things, as we were. We were able to conveniently drive from here to Boulder and Golden for shopping and eating. I highly recommend this place as a getaway stay or launching point for exploring Colorado.
