Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Angie,

We had a great time staying at your place and I hope that your cleaning person found it neat and orderly upon their inspection.

I just wanted to say that we all loved the place - the layout and the convenience of the location were perfect. It was really the perfect little place and we'll all be recommending it to anyone we know planning to stay in Astoria. Thanks again,

Mike

This was our third year staying here and as always it was great!

  • 5 of 5

The house is comfortable, clean and darn cute. Claudine is wonderful to work with and she leaves us cookies!!!! We been here for our 3rd fishing tournament and this house is right across from the marina. Super convenient and close to everything. We’ll be back next year!

Perfect stay! Great town! Great Host!

  • 5 of 5

I like to make my reviews easy to understand. House was clean and well stocked. Kitchen had all the essentials and we liked the eat-in table. TV had a good variety of channels and we were able to watch the NBA playoffs... very important 😀?. The Internet was strong and consistent. The bed was very comfortable, linens and towels were good quality (not like some other places we have stayed). There are stairs up to the front door and to the second floor. The stairs were as described in the posting so no surprise there.

Some reviewers commented on the bridge noise. We did not have any issues. The location and the view outweighs any problem with noise. At night we had the windows closed because it was cool.

Across the street is the trolley stop. About 20-30 feet west of the house is a button to cross the street and a crosswalk. The Bridgewater Bistro across the street was very good, has a great view and about 90%of the menu is gluten free.

The folks at the Chamber of Commerce (about 3/4 of a mile east of the property) were very helpful. They had a easy local map. Downtown is a quick drive.

West on 101, across the bridge (not the big bridge) towards Warrenton is a commercial section with a Fred Meyer grocery, Wall Mart and a Natural Grocer (I think I have the name right).

Claudine was planting flowers in the yard so we had an opportunity to meet her a few times. I am so happy we did! She is a wonderful host and a good person. She is so helpful, responsive and clearly loves what she is doing. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great stay in Astoria with a great host!

Good location with nice view

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Claudine's house. It was clean and comfortable and in a good location. We were able to walk downtown and liked the view of the river and the ships going back and forth. Thanks, Claudine.

Beautiful home.

  • 5 of 5

This house is beautiful, and very comfortable. The view out the front window included KFC but if you focus past that, you see the water, the bridge and occasionally ships coming in. The front bedroom has a little noise from street traffic at night, ear plugs would solve that. That would be my only negative. The house was very well decorated, had everything we needed, and was very comfortable. I would definitely enjoy staying there again!

Comfy, clean, great location

  • 5 of 5

Right next to a trolley stop, easy to find. Clean, comfortable and spacious. Only thing would be that it's right next the main road, and that when semi's drive by the house shakes a bit, but it's really not that bad.
