This home boasts total comfort, modern features, and feels like a home away from home (except by the beach!) Every detail of this stay was carefully crafted with your best experience in mind including cathedral ceilings, a private outdoor hot tub, a fully equipped kitchen, and even heated bathroom floors! Luxury amenities that will meet your needs and more! Wake up in the morning with a coffee and hand, warm sun on your face, and begin your adventure.

This bungalow offers everything you will need for a comfortable, accommodating vacation. Including unique beachy decor and an indoor fireplace, you will feel encouraged to spend the day sea-side and the nights cozying up. Rest assured you will find this home a great fit whether you are visiting for work or pleasure. Provided with desired amenities such as a private outdoor hot tub, a soaking bathtub, and an outdoor garden space perfect for kicking your feet up and achieving maximum relaxation!

This home comfortably hosts up to four guests in total with sleeping options amongst one bedroom and a murphy bed in the living room that also fits two guests.

There are fresh linens, towels, and all you need for a warm and comfortable stay. Bathrooms will have all your hygienic needs such as soap and shampoo.

Our fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to make your favorite home-made meal. Take advantage of the fridge and freezer, stove and oven, microwave, blender, toaster, pots, pans, utensils, and full dinning sets.
Located in Rio Del Mar, CA (known for its European style coastal living and long, wide, and sandy beaches that are continuous for miles), you will be able to enjoy a beach town and all it has to offer. Only a short distance away from the bungalow, you will find several beaches such as Rio Del Mar Beach and Seacliff State Beach where you can enjoy sunbathing, fishing, swimming, bike riding, and even bonfires and a shipwreck! Be sure to keep an eye out for whales, dolphins, sea lions, and many types of birds that can often be seen from the shore.

Comfy, close to beach

The bungalow was clean and comfortable, and just a quick walk to the beach. Time at the beach, followed by a soak in the hot tub made this a perfect visit.

Everything was great in the place. One minor suggestion would be to change the location of the sofas since it's easier to see the tv if the big sofa is facing it.

Fantastic getaway

This bungalow was exactly as advertised and more. We had a great time, home was comfy, hot tub was hot, beach was close, and it was close to some great restaurants and hikes. 10/10 look forward to coming back and staying again!

Peaceful Bungalow Secret

Weekend stay at a perfectly outfitted bungalow. Quick walk to the beach with provided chairs and umbrella, easy lunch at Pixie, delightful dinner at Persephone, quiet night's rest, private hot tub soaks, easy parking. Really a great location and lovely warm lodging. We hope to stay again!

A beautiful home with some caveats

My family of 4 (plus dog) enjoyed many aspects of this home. However, two major inaccuracies in the listing are worth mentioning. 1. It is listed as 2 bedroom, but is definitely a 1 bedroom with a second bed in the living room. This was a surprise to us when we arrived, as the photos and listing suggested 2 bedrooms, and anyone who has traveled with young kids knows the difference between being able to put kids to bed in a closed door bedroom, vs the living room. This meant everyone had to essentially go to bed and wake up at the same time (not ideal).2. There is an additional rental property on site with other guests that share entryway, laundry, trash. I wish this had been mentioned in the listing, since we often worried about our kids disturbing the other guests, and my understanding of VRBO had been that you got the entire property.Aside from this, the home was beautiful, well-stocked, with lots of natural light. The yard was great for kids with a trampoline and hot tub. There is no AC, but opening the windows during the day kept the temperature between 60-80 degrees. The location was wonderful, a short walk to the beach, we loved Venus Pie Trap for morning coffee and pastries, and Nisene Marks Forest was just a few minute’s drive.Host was responsive, neighborhood felt very safe, and Aptos was a wonderful place to visit.

Comfortable beach living

Have stayed here previously, and this time did not disappoint! Quiet, relaxing home with all amenities. Easy quick walk to beach and short drive to Nisene park to walk among the redwoods. Host is always very prompt to answer questions. Will definitely return!!

Relaxing getaway

The perfect set up for me, my husband & our dog. Welcoming private bungalow in quiet neighborhood, spotlessly clean, spacious, full kitchen, fenced yard with large hot tub, just short walk to beach & eateries (didn't have to use our car at all). Overall comfortable & easy for an enjoyable, & much needed, respite during these stressful times. Thanks Liz!!

Elopement Getaway

Our group enjoyed our stay! The perfect place for 3 adults and a large dog. We had our elopement in the Redwoods and this place provided adequate space for all three of us to get ready. House was fully stocked with everything you'd need. Although we didn't need it, they had many items for children both inside the home and the backyard. Having a stress-free place to stay was highly appreciated for our event.

Beach house in Aptos

The house has been remodeled. Appliances are great. Shower is great. Couches, not all that comfortable,. Needs new fresh towels in bath. I bought a spatula and prep knife. Needs updated kitchen sets….dishes, prep utensils, storage containers with lids. Great location…walk to the beach. Parking handy..

Beach Get A Way with a relaxing Back Yard

We come to this area 1-2 times a year. This property is a great location, very clean, well equipped kitchen, loved the clean hot tub and the backyard. Instructions to operate fireplace were helpful & the hidden switch for backyard outside lighting(behind the Murphy Bed, a little tricky). Never found TV directions. Close to Rio Del Mar Beach (Walkable) and Aptos Village (by car). Only negative was the dog in front house (B) barked when we came and went. But that’s what they do~

Traveling globally at such a young age lead to her deep love and yearning for exploring our world and celebrating all different landscapes, cuisines and cultures. Since those early days, she’s traveled extensively, venturing to Europe, Thailand, the Great Barrier Reef and Everest Base camp to name only a few.

Liz is a veteran of the tech world, and after 20+ years working long hours for various companies in San Francisco and San Jose, she was ready to pursue her ultimate dream of owning a vacation rental where travelers, could all enjoy a restful, creative and rejuvenating time. Rio Del Mar Bungalow is the culmination of all her vast travel experiences and hard work and she couldn’t be more pleased to welcome you to her new home. Liz invites you to share a story and a glass (or two!) of wine while enjoying the blue ocean, sunsets and gentle breezes.
