Located in Little Deer Isle, this holiday home is in a rural area and on the waterfront. Deer Isle Bridge and Stonington Opera House are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Barred Island Preserve and Holbrook Island Sanctuary State Park. Stonington Sea Products and Blue Hill Books are also worth visiting.
We had a wonderful family vacation at the Salt Water Farm. The house was spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The property was stunning. All ages enjoyed our time there.
We loved our stay on Little Deer Isle. The house was beautiful and had a colonial feel with updated interior for comfort. All the bedrooms but one had their own bathroom which is so rare. The grounds are simply breathtaking and the water views amazing. We enjoyed the kayaks and if had been a bit warmer might have tried to paddleboard. The kitchen is well equipped for large family meals and their are big tables inside and out. We loved the sun room and enjoyed reading and looking out at the bay. We felt at home and Lisa was very kind and helpful when we needed suggestions. I would honestly stay here every summer. It is about an hour and a half to Acadia, with several small towns within an hour to explore with local shops. Stonington is very pretty and has several small retaurants and shops on the water. It is a great stay!
