Welcome to the LowCountry Gump House! Our home features a fun Forrest Gump theme to celebrate the fact that parts of the movie were filmed right here in Beaufort. Our home is 5 min from Parris Island and 10 min to Downtown Beaufort and Waterfront Park. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby and I have a welcome table set up with recommendations and things to do!
We include a Hunting Island Beach pass that is available for use during your stay. We also have board games, playing cards, and cornhole boards. For coffee lovers like myself -we have a coffee bar stocked with coffee, cream and sugar for the morning.
Our home is located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. This Veteran owned, newly renovated home features white washed brick exterior, an open layout, and big windows looking out to spanish moss covered trees. Our home also has a large fenced in backyard complete with pergola and fire pit. Truly a haven created to let you relax and enjoy your time in this historic hidden gem- Beaufort.

Excellent house. It had everything we needed. The next time we were in the area, we would be happy to stay there again. Laura did a good job of making sure we had everything we need.
Wonderful area, quiet and clean. My only complantnt is that its not handicap accesible. .Im a disabled amputee. I plan to stay again very soon once these things are in place.
The house was located within a short driving distance of everything needed. Neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. The host provided excellent communications. We enjoyed our stay.
Very clean and cute property. We came to visit family in the Beaufort area and had plenty of space for 10 people to visit all day without being crowded. There are 7 camping chairs and corn hole and games
House was perfect for our stay. Clean and comfortable. Location was great for shopping/eating/activities. We were picking up my son from Parris Island. Only 10 minutes from the front gate. Laura was very prompt at responding to messages.
After being in the car over 14 hours, this house was perfect for our short trip to Beaufort. Our kids loved the yard to run around in. The house gave us a lot more space than a hotel to spread out and rest. I do wish we were staying longer to explore more of the area. If we ever come back to Beaufort we will come back to this home - highly recommend!
My family and I stayed for two nights here for my nephew’s MCRD graduation and this location was perfect! We were about 10 minutes from Parris Island and 5 minutes from Beaufort; after the graduation we enjoyed visiting the town of Beaufort (Bay Street and the waterfront) along with the cypress wetlands which were about a mile from the house. The host was very responsive and we enjoyed our stay. I would suggest taking a fan if you’re hot natured for the two spare rooms but the master bedroom was nice and cool.
This property was perfect for our trip down to attend my son's MCRD boot camp graduation. We had six adults that included an elderly person that has to use mobility aides. The house was perfect for our needs since it was all one level and it's so close to the base. I contacted the owner beforehand and she was gracious enough to let us leave a couple of cars at the house during the day so that we could consolidate vehicles when we were attending the graduation events. Communication with her was fantastic! The check in and check out processes were super simple which made everything smooth and stress free.
My husband and I are digital nomads, and we spent two weeks at Low Country Gump House. LCGH is in a quiet, simple neighborhood with simple houses, most well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the WiFi was great. The kitchen, however, was very basic, which was somewhat frustrating as we both usually enjoy cooking. That said, the location was good for us - an easy walk to hop on the Spanish Moss Trail and a short drive to shops and historic sites. In addition to the terrific restaurant recommendations that Laura provided, we also highly recommend Corner Perk, which is located in a historic building in a cute little area of Port Royal and offers way more than great coffee! Lastly, when we had an issue or question, Laura was super responsive.

Thank you for this lovely review Eleanor.
I try to be very clear in our listing about the basic kitchen items we keep stocked for our guests. We have had guests stay for Thanksgiving, or host dinner parties at the home with rave reviews. I do apologize that the kitchen items were less than expected, I am definitely open to stocking some extras. Just let me know what could make your stay even better next time! 😊
By the way, thank you so much for the recommendation for Corner Perk! GREAT coffee! ☕️💕
We had an excellent stay at the property. Lots of room and everything was very clean.
This place was perfect for our needs; lots of room for everyone. Laura was very responsive to every question in advance. Will definitely be back in the future!!
