Hello My name is Sally Germer. I'm not originally from the south, but I got here as quick as I could. I was born and raised in St. Louis and moved here 14 years ago.
I am a Realtor, Licensed Residental Contractor, Professional Stager and have 2 years of Interior Design Education.
Sally purchased this house in 2002
I built this Duplex in 2002 and originally rented this side long term. I turned it into the Palmetto Moon Cottage in 2006
I've stayed in my Palmetto Moon Cottage, after I turned it into a Vacation home, as I wanted to see if it had everything a guest could need. I live next door when it is not rented. I personally take care of all aspects of this Vacation Home and I believe it shows in all the small details.
We can not thank you enough for all that you have done for us!
We loved our stay at the Sunrise Moon Cottage. The view was beautiful. I loved cooking dinner while watching the water and boat go by. The Sunrise each morning was a great way to start the day. The place was cozy and the location perfect especially for my Navy Hospital corpsman. He was less than 2 min away. He was even able to surprise us for lunch a couple of times, because of the location. The day before departure, I became quite ill and was put in the ICU in the hospital. You cam to our rescue without hesitation and offered this cottage to us for an overnight stay. We cannot thank you enough for your kindness, compassion and souther hospitality. Your cottages are beautiful, very comfortable, well appointed and in a perfect location. Thank you for helping us military families.
We have stayed in this particular home many times over the last several years. The home is very clean and well maintained and we just love the neighborhood. The property owner has the home decorated beautifully! Lord willing, we will return for more years to come.
My family of six loved this home. The neighborhood is adorable. We had a great time walking down to Sands Beach and hiking the boardwalk up to the observation deck. The neighborhood is very quiet and felt completely safe. The home is very clean (and this is a must for me). The kitchen is well-stocked and we ate several meals here over the four nights and five days we stayed. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. We gave my daughter and son-in-law the master suite and bath because there is a California king bed and he is 6'4". I slept in the queen size bed with one small child and my hubby slept on the sleeper sofa with the other child. We were all very comfortable. The home comes with a washer and dryer which I love so I don't have to pack as much or take home dirty laundry. I highly recommend the location which is very close to Parris Island and Beaufort. The Marines museum at Parris Island is free and wonderful. Beaufort is my favorite southern town and is only a few minutes away. The horse and buggy tour through the historic district is wonderful. We spent a few hours at Hunting Island on the beach looking for starfish and climbed the lighthouse (bring bug spray) and is it lovely. The Chapel of Ease ruins on St. Helena Island are fascinating. I'd love to stay in this home again!
Very clean and decorated beautifully, outstanding amenities and Port Royal is a beautiful tight neat community, it was very quiet and the neighbors were extremely friendly. We stayed here because my son was graduating from Parris Island. I would highly recommend this rental to any Marine family as it is a mere 5 minutes away from the base. Being that close saved a lot of time in travel, plus most folks are coming in from the north side and I noticed traffic was very heavy that way. We breezed right on in! On the end of the island is a small beach and you can actually see Parris Island from there. 5 star rating and Sally was very accommodating, checking in to make sure everything was perfect as it was!!
Had a great time & nice little southern town with lots of wonderfully nice people👌😊
We would definitely recommend this lovely cottage to our friends. We enjoyed the serenity of being in the country, but at the same time not being far from Savannah, or Charleston. It was wonderful having the beach within walking distance. Sally was very helpful with any questions we had regarding sightseeing and shopping. We look forward to hopefully be returning to this charming place in the future.
We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a clean, peaceful stay in a lovely area. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean, parking was a breeze. You are only a short walk away from a wonderful seafood restaurant, or if you want a short stroll in the other direction you have pizza or barbecue. Sally made sure to check in on us and made us feel right at home. Wi-fi is available with decent download speeds. Our trip to the area was for a Parris Island graduation. In short this is a great place to stay.
