Nice experience, good communication with owner. Pet friendly retreat! Hot tub was fabulous in the mornings when it was cool outside!Definitely stay here again.
We picked this location because it was listed within walking distance of downtown. It is not. It is also not a 5 minute drive as the listing agent says. Of course you don't see this detail because it is listed at the very bottom. 4 adults missed this detail and you do not know the physical address until after you book. Once I express my frustration with the property manager she was very rude and told me if I didn't like it I was more than welcome to cancel. This was a week before our reservation and we would have lost all of our money. The property is also not as pictured. It is very run down and has clearly had major water damage. The fireplace is pulling away from the wall and looks like it could fall at any moment. The whole place has settled so bad the tile floors are cracked and covered with nasty rugs and the doors upstairs barely close. It smelled so bad we bought candles to try and freshen it up and they did not help. The bedroom downstairs smells like animal urine and the rest of the place smells musty and funky. The kitchen is a joke. There is zero storage and only 1 burner on the stove works and the coil doesn't fit or the pans are so warped you can't cook anything. The pull out beds are horrible! One was broken and the other the mattress is so worn down it went through the springs. We barely had enough space for the 7 of us. To say this place was a let down is an understatement. The price we paid we could have stayed a lot closer and nicer.
Our stay was great loved the property!!! Has a few encounters with bears my son forgot to lock his car n a bear let itself in the car n took a bite out of a couple of things. And let itself out the other car door. On the day we left my husband went to take the trash to to trash bin and saw a bear
Your web site shows on a map this location is right downtown. Walking distance to many locations. E.G. 2 minute walk to Anakeesta. That is not true. 1 minute walk to Ole Red. Not true. The night we went to Ole Red Waze told us it was a 12 minute drive not a 1 minute walk. We selected this property because of its location. I know much lower in your info the Property owner says it is a 5 minute drive to downtown. The map and VRBO write up do not say that. False Advertising that I am sure the property owner is aware of but refuses to change..
We had a nice (though too short) stay. The property met our needs as a family, and would stay here again. Do be warned that two of the bedrooms on the second floor are only accessible via a very tall staircase, so if you have mobility issues be aware.
We were visiting Smoky National Park as a family and absolutely loved this place - it was very convenient and close to both the downtown areas and the national park. The house itself was very cozy and a family of 5 of us were able to stay very comfortably. If you have a larger car, just be aware that the driveway is a bit steep and narrow but nothing impossible.
We enjoyed our time at this cabin. It was very clean and plenty of sheets towels, etc. The little things didn't ruin our stay and overall it is a really nice cabin,
Kitchen could use a few more pots/pans and a can opener that works. There were no cleaning products that we could find. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for out group of 11 to spread out. Do not plan on using the single pull out bed in the loft. That mattress is horrible, but my small grandson was able to sleep on the little sofa without pulling it out.
Pictures are a little deceiving as to the 'yard' area. There really isn't much outdoor space except for the parking area. It was a little challenging for my little dog to find a place to do her business. The 'barbeque' is a rusty little grill that we didn't use, but if you plan on grilling you might want to rethink that.
The online listing indicates that you can walk to Anakeesta and other attractions. This is not true, it's a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg but definitely not walkable. There is some sort of giant house across the street with a pool. The weekend nights were very loud coming from the pool. Like really loud, kind of ruined the nighttime porch sitting and hot tub but it was quiet during the weeknights.
Over all this cabin was worth the cost and none of the things we came across ruined our trip at all. Nice property.

It was okay
Agree with other reviewers that the property needs a deep clean and some renovations/updates. The stove had a single working burner. They came out and fixed the others by inserting the burners at a 30 degree angle? The location is nice but definitely not within walking distance of anything.
Cute comfortable cabin but a bit less than advertised. Our group of 5 adults (no couples) maxed out this space advertised for 11. Listing noted minimal walking distances to downtown but reality is a 15 minute car ride. Space def could use some updates, only 2 burners work on stove, bath fans not working as well as oversink bulbs burned out, etc. Overall it met our needs with a great location and the hot tub was awesome!
The property was nice. Not as close as the listing says but still great location. We didn’t have a chance to use the hot tub outside. My grandson enjoyed the big bath minus the jets. We did not cook anything there but it was set up to if you wanted too. Mostly was getting ready sleeping and hanging out in the living room with mom and the grand babies. The host was nice and communication was there and offered if needed.

Honestly the place could use a good deep clean, maintenance and some updating but overall we had a great time and the house worked for our family. If you plan to spend more time at the house, you may want to find something nicer. We literally just needed somewhere to sleep and shower for the weekend as the kids kept us very busy, so we just wiped everything down when we arrived.
We enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub
It is a bit off the beaten track which is nice, to escape the downtown crowds
Close enough to drive in to the strip and walk around. Not walking distance for sure, but quiet and a nice get away! Roomy enough for a family to enjoy!
