If you are looking for fresh air, mountain streams, fresh well water, a respite, and some stress-free living, you have found it! Romantic get-a-way, girl's retreat, guys fishing trip, you name it! This is a one-story home in a private, gated community with a private dock. This cabin is on pristine lake water fed by 5 streams. 2 kayaks, 2 canoes, and 2 paddleboards are available. Plenty of fishing for wide-mouth bass! Fireplace in the main living area and central air and heat throughout the home. Two full bathrooms; one with a soaking tub. Spa just outside the master bedroom on the deck overlooking the lake. Fully equipped kitchen. Firepit area with seating for 4. Table seating area for 4 and rocking chairs on wrap-around, screened sundeck overlooking the lake. Large dining table for 8 inside the home. Our home has recently been updated with new rugs, linens, furniture, paint, and decor. The property is OWNER managed and has been a popular and desirable rental for 6 years! It is freshly sanitized and ready for your arrival!

All, and includes the use of 2 kayaks, 2 canoes, 2 paddleboards, life jackets, and spa/jacuzzi. Private gate to community accessible with key card. Jon boat by request.
Other things to note
AT & T Wi fi, and Roku. Phone service is very good if you CONNECT your phone to WIFI for service.
Wildlife includes ducks, geese deer, and large turtles.
Fabulous home-cooking restaurant 10 minutes. Fly fishing shop 10 minutes.
The "Mall" (Dollar General) 10 minutes.
Non-Refundable Pet Fee of $100 and pets must be pre-approved by the owner. Pet Fee is collected when you receive check-in information (2 days prior to arrival).

My mother and I along with our two dogs stayed three nights in this beautiful lake cabin. The kitchen has very nice cookware and dishes to use. The view of the lake was absolutely breathtaking, especially with the fall foliage. The neighborhood was very peaceful and we enjoyed our time very much. We visited the state park Oconee and did a short hike as well as went into town, called Walhalla and did some shopping and had great cheesesteaks.

One of our favorite stays. VERY quiet close to many small towns well worth exploring (Walhalla, Highlands, NC, Cashiers NC). Wish we had stayed longer. Communications with property manager were great, responses very prompt. Gave us great ideas for places we had not thought about for food shopping, etc. peaceful relaxing stay for our anniversary. Well stocked with everything needed. We brought perishables, of course, but also enjoyed local restaurants (recommend reaching out to property manager for her EXCELLENT suggestions)

This is a very sweet spot. We had a great time, even though it rained most of the time we were there. We had the opportunity to use the canoe a few times even with the rain, and we also enjoyed the fire pit one night. We would definitely book again!

We had an amazing stay in Mountain Rest. I lived in the community and worked on the river as a guide for 8 years. I am down here often, but wanted a nice place to put our family for a long weekend. This cabin was perfect! We swam in the lake, made s’mores by the fire, paddled the sup boards around and had some great conversation on the screened in porch. I would definitely recommend this cabin!

Annual lake vacation!

Perfect lake cabin! Exactly how it was described. So relaxing and accompanying. Love the cabin, the lake and the area. The host was very attentive and answered any questions quickly. The claw foot tub was a plus! Looking forward to a visit in the Fall!

Such a wonderful time! On a beautiful, quiet lake. My husband and I booked this for our honeymoon and we did not want to leave! Everything was perfect. Perfect fall getaway

Loved this cabin- was perfect for me and my family for a long weekend. My family loved all the water toys and spend most of our time on the lake. Our pups loved the property too. It is situated perfectly- far enough off grid to really get away but close enough to state parks and other amenities. Would definitely recommend and would like to visit again in the summer!

Great little lakeside cabin was an easy drive to the river for rafting and fly fishing. Owner was super nice and responsive to any of our needs. Would definitely go back!

Little Piece of Mountain Lake Paradise!

All I can say is, I'm so thankful we found this little mountain paradise! It's beautiful and rustic and everything we hoped it would be! It's clean and fresh and comfortable. It has everything you need for a great vacay! We played on the lake(our daughter learned to paddleboard!). We rested and cooked wonderful meals in the cabin. The wifi was super! We soaked in the hot tub, and just sat on the porch enjoying the natural beauty of the lake and mountains. We seriously can not wait to go back already!

This cabin is wonderful! It is clean, comfortable, and has all the amenities needed for a stay. The host is very helpful and communicative. The setting is absolutely gorgeous! My family only stayed for 2 nights, but I was sorry to leave. I hope to visit again!

Relaxing Trip

Gem on the lake!

My wife and I have stayed here two years in a row and love it. Joanne is super nice, attentive and helpful. A great feel to the place, very comfortable, the porches, lake, dock, fire pit…I could go on and on about how much we’ve enjoyed our stays here. Look forward to the next one!

Chattooga Lakefront Cabin

We had a very enjoyable stay at the cabin. Check-in was a breeze, and it was ready for us when we arrived. The kids loved the lake, the dock, and the paddle boards. Everything was clean and comfortable. The views out of the deck were beautiful and relaxing. We would definitely recommend staying at this cabin.

Perfect Lake Vacation

We had a wonderful week at this property! JoAnn was so helpful ,from answering all of my questions leading up to our stay to reaching out while we were there to make sure everything was going well. The house was a perfect lakeside cabin with a wonderful screened in porch and fire pit. We enjoyed the hot tub at night and the dock and the lake during the day. As a bonus, there was an amazing fire works show on July 4th right there from thr lake! We would love to go back and enjoy another stay!
