Kick back at this modern forest house, nestled at the front door to Grand Mere State Park. Only a 90-minute drive from Chicago! Surrounded by Lake Solis and forest scenery, with ample privacy, this home (built-in 2022) can accommodate large groups. Enjoy sand dunes only a minute away from Lake Solis while sun pours into the enormous windows. Featuring 4 bedrooms (7 beds total) and 3 bathrooms, up to 12 people can be accommodated.

Enjoy creating a campfire outside in the dedicated brick firepit before relaxing in the meticulously maintained 7-person hot tub / spa on the patio. Or, cool off indoors with full A/C watching the large TVs (75” downstairs, 55” upstairs).
Like to grill? No problem: on the patio there is a Weber ready to go. Want to cook indoors? A full kitchen awaits you.

Have some work to do? The loft floor master bedroom features a dedicated work area with laptop stand, HDMI monitor hookup, USB printer, and office supplies.

Bad back? The king beds in either master bedroom feature adjustable bases so you can prop up your spine to the perfect position!

For the pool sharks in your group, there is a 7-foot pool table upstairs with enough cuesticks for a 6-person game.

Extra people can be accommodated for sleeping on the two leather couches in the living room.

Security camera disclosure: Two cameras. One at the front covers the front door and parking area, one at the back covers the back door and patio (camera is angled such that it does not capture the hot tub at all)

A lovely house in a new and quiet subdivision. Close to the highway but far enough so that you don’t get a lot of road noise. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking tools and utensils. The decor is tastefully minimal and the furniture comfortable. I’d definitely book this property again!

We had a simply fantastic stay at Sahar's property! It's exactly as pictured - modern, spacious, and extremely well-equipped (I've never seen so many thoughtfully placed chargers and power outlets!) - and the instructions for everything from check-in to how to operate grills/outdoor heaters/TVs/etc... were super clear. Sahar was a great host - very responsive - and the whole lakeside community has a very peaceful and friendly vibe. Fantastic location too - right next to Grand Mere state park and just a short drive from so many amazing restaurants and destinations. 11/10 - would definitely stay again (and our dog would agree - she loved exploring the backyard!)

Worth booking!

The house is a really nice place to have gatherings with the capacity allowed. I think the host put a lot of effort in creating a very welcoming and nurturing environment that has a lot of activities. I definitely won’t recommend coming here, and I would come back myself whenever I’m back in Michigan.

Lovely home

We had a great stay. It's in a cute development with a small lake, very close to the beach at Grand Mere State Park (which is dog-friendly). The kitchen had everything we needed, the grill worked great, and the beds were comfy. Check-out tasks weren't too onerous; just the usual type of thing. So we were very happy.

Well appointed, comfortable and entertaining holiday house. Host was very responsive and easy to work with. Our group of 4 adults and 4 teenagers had a fantastic stay. The teens loved the karaoke, the pool table and the sand volleyball down the street. The adults enjoyed the great sound system and easy connecting to Spotify as well as the ease of cooking both in the kitchen and on the grill. Everyone loved the hot tub and the indoor/outdoor living. There's not much better than a soak in the hot tub after a long day of swimming at the nearby beach, followed by s'mores and a movie on the huge TV.

Perfect Stay

The house was perfect for a long weekend! It was comfortable, clean, beautiful and stocked with all the extras! We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, grill, canoe, outdoor games and pool table. Loved the open space, especially the garage door that connected the indoor and outdoor spaces. Location was convenient, yet secluded which was exactly what we were looking for. We had a wonderful relaxing time! Host was incredibly responsive, I would highly recommend this property!

Great social space

Great property for having a group of young adults together for a fun weekend. Hot tub, firepit, giant TV, grill and patio, pool table- perfect for hanging out. Close proximity to dunes and beaches, though it does require driving. Note that the "beach" within walking distance is not Lake Michigan, its a small lake with sand on its shore. 5-10 minute drive to excellent Lake Michigan beach access.

Family Reunion

If we could give this 10 stars we would! We had a wonderful time at this home with our 5 adult children and their families. From the easy check in, complete house full of amenities, games, beach access, canoe, hot tub, location, etc., it was a wonderful experience at this rental. The house has so much natural light from the many windows that you almost feel like you are outdoors. Everyone loved it and we can't wait to return next summer and stay longer!

Great for a group trip!

A group of 7 of us stayed here for a bachelor party. The house was fantastic! It was very clean upon arrival with the host (Sahar) providing a number of amenities. It was large enough to handle a group up to 10. Sahar was very quick to respond to all questions and communications. The instructions for arrival and checking out were very clear. The check out process was the easiest process of any place I have stayed. An overall great experience!

Great 1 week stay

The house was great, and communication with the host was superb. We really appreciated the easy checkout process. The hot tub is very nice. The kids managed to catch a few small bass at the lake nearby, which was even nicer than the pictures. The smaller kids loved to play in the sand at the back of the property. We really appreciated the new cornhole and toy throwing axe sets that were provided. There were plenty of towels, soap, and shampoo. Warren Dunes and plenty of restaurants and breweries are within 10 minutes of the property. We had a great stay with our extended family.

Dune beach summer stay

What a unique and quiet location! We celebrated our daughter's 16th birthday here with some friends. They had plenty of space in the bunks, loved the hot tub, and enjoyed chatting around the large tables over breakfast and dinner. There were plenty of things to do within the house to keep them busy, between the pool table and board games, there was plenty of laughter. It's a short drive to the beach and be prepared for a 15 minute hike over the dunes, but the beach is so worth it as it was absolutely beautiful. There was plenty to do within a short drive, between Kayaking in St. Joe's and dinners in New Buffalo, lots of activity in the surrounding towns for kids, teens and adults. Sahar was so responsive and helpful whenever we had any questions about things to do around town or about the house. I highly recommend!

Great weekend getaway for friends/family in SW Michigan

Cool place with a unique design. It is a good layout for friends/family. Nice indoor/outdoor spaces for gathering as a group while still maintaining some individual spaces. You won’t be disappointed with staying here, just book it.

This place is very cool and unique!

This place is very cool and unique! I stayed for a few days with a group of friends and we had a blast. It is about 15 minutes to St. Joseph, which is perfect for some beach time or some shopping. The home was clean and the owner was great with communicating. Hope to be back soon.

Perfect getaway

This property was a wow - great location, super clean, with high quality furniture, amenities, and decor. The fridge, kitchen, and bathrooms were fully stocked and the backyard space was a perfect environment. We wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of all it has to offer - we will definitely be back! Only negative, it was hard to find its location in all maps apps due to the new construction. The owner helped us with this which was appreciated. No fault here, just made for some unexpected detours!

As part of the new Lake Solis Community development, this house is one of a small handful going up around Lake Solis, a small lake which lies in a forested, sandy area about 1.5 miles east of Lake Michigan.

While the house is completely new construction, the location's natural environs is a well-preserved time capsule of the midwest lake ecosystem before human intervention.

What makes this property unique

This location combines modernity and a natural environment: perfect for large groups in which some may be willing to explore the forest, lake, or make a fire, but others might prefer to stay inside watching HBO, Prime Video or Disney+, or play a game of pool.

A robust A/C system keeps you cool in the Summer, and heated concrete floors will make sure you are comfortable in the colder months. A large patio with a grill and outdoor furniture invites entertaining, and a circular brick firepit lies at the edge of the property, where the forest meets you, so you have a place to enjoy a campfire.

The kitchen is fully stocked with bowls, dishes, and cooking items so you can make lots of food for your party.

We are proud to say that our internet is very fast for being in a remote area (125-200 mbps).
