The Everett Street Guesthouse has 2 accommodations-- a separate entrance, private lower level one bedroom apartment and a separate studio cottage (VRBO Listing #198587) Both have their own bathroom, entrance, air conditioning, heat, washer/dryer and kitchenette. The lower level apartment has a window in the bedroom looking out to the side garden, and another window in the dining area. There's a t.v. with Netflix and DVD player with dvd selections, but no cable. The studio cottage has cable t.v. and dvds. Located on the same property, they're only blocks from NE 28th Ave's "restaurant row", movie theater, park and public transportation. I Recently closed the rooms in the inn, and now offer these two wonderful accommodations for your visit to Portland. See trip advisor for many reviews under Everett Street Guesthouse. Please Note: There are stairs with a railing down to the apartment, so if you have any problems going up and down stairs, please consider renting the cottage or another rental.

About Terry Rusinow
I moved to Portland in 2004 from Healdsburg, California, where I had a gallery of ethnic and American Crafts for 12 years. Before that I had lived in Mendocino, CA. where I worked for a coffee company developing their mail order department, as well as having a jazz radio show and bringing live jazz concerts to the area. I ran the Bed and Breakfast on this property, but after 10 years, have decided to enjoy my home and now offer 2 private accommodations on the property.. I enjoy kayaking, bird watching, travel, movies and cooking.
Terry Rusinow purchased this Apartment in 2004
Why Terry Rusinow chose Kerns
I love Portland, and in particular, love this extremely quiet, yet urban, neighborhood. It's perfect for someone visiting Portland, as it's a neighborhood, yet so close to tons of restaurants, cafes, movies, parks and transportation. It's only minutes across the Burnside Bridge to the Pearl District, downtown, etc. I've made both accommodations simple, comfortable and cozy with great outside areas during the Spring and Summer months to enjoy.
What makes this Apartment unique
Staying in the apartment or cottage has the benefit of giving you a place to come home to that's not an impersonal motel or hotel. It's your home away from home while you're here with all the comforts of home. I'm on the property to help you with anything you may need--from where to eat, to renting bicycles, to helping with any questions you may have.

Felt like staying with family.
Terry was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. Anything we forgot she already had on hand, along with recommendations for anything in town. Her place was clean, comfortable and felt like staying with family. Will definitely be back.
Nice, private space close to restaurants and shops.
Terry provided all the amenities I needed and more. Great host and a lovely apartment in a nice neighborhood!
Thanks so much.
Loved this little basement apartment. Perfect for two, great parking, amazing location to restaurants and breweries, and all that Portland has to offer! Very accommodating lower guesthouse wity everything you could need in a very safe location.
Thanks so much. Enjoyed having you both.!
Wow, what a nice place!
Terry has been in the hospitality business for a while, and she's thought of everything to make her guests comfortable and happy: coffee, great movies and books, info about the area, etc. She's very easy to reach if you have any questions, and gave us a tour when we arrived. The basement apartment is near to a couple bus routes and some good restaurants. (I loved the food cart pod at 28th and Ankeny, especially the Israeli mint lemonade and sabich.) Thanks, Terry!
Thanks so much for your nice comments. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and the apartment.
Well appointed room in great area
Terry's lower level apartment was very comfortable, and the kitchen was very well appointed with all types of snacks (Cereal, english muffins, coffee, etc). The neighborhood was very safe and within walking distance to many restaurants and bars - also close to the major highways.
About 20 minutes from PDX. I would definitely stay here again!
Thanks so much for staying here and leaving things so clean. Enjoyed having you.
Perfect spot in town. Terry made us feel at home and had fantastic recommendations for spots to visit around town. A true gem in the city! Clean, quiet, friendly and close to everything. Highly recommend!
Thanks! Enjoyed having you here. Hope you'll return another time. Terry
The apartment is walking distance to restaurants, cafes, Whole Foods Market, Laurelhurst Movie Theater, Laurelhurst Park. A short drive to Pearl District, Japanese Gardens, Chinese Gardens, Arboretum, Zoo and downtown.
