Wonderful cabin and a great digital detox! The boys loved the record player and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, games and movies. Clean and had everything we needed.
The cabin is very cute and cozy. Very private and peaceful. Everything was perfect for our stay. We were kayaking at the NOC and this cabin is very close. Only took us about 10 minutes to get there. We would stay here again.
It’s an older place. Beds were a bit too soft. We saw some ants. We were a bit out of our league being it no internet. Overall was satisfied with location. There was some issues with the power.
Hot tub area was very private and the screened in back porch was perfect for morning coffees. Definitely pack a map of local areas/hikes for reference. No cell service available. Great stay! Very relaxing. Pleasant surprise: there is a Pizza Hut classic (old school style) nearby in Bryson City.
We had a great stay and will definitely be back! Everything was so clean and the property was so quant and cozy. Lots of space and a perfect location to all the surrounding activities!

Y'all were wonderful guests. We'd be happy to have you back anytime!
The house was spectacular!! Very clean and welcoming. Loved the hot tub. The host was phenomenal!! He communicated the whole time, and made sure our time was enjoyable and we had what we needed. If I’m ever down this way again I will definitely stay with them again. From the moment I booked this the host has been above and beyond many other hosts. Offering things to do in area, available if we needed anything from booking until we checked out. Will definitely recommend this to anyone who may be traveling to the mountains!!

Not Very Good
Presented on VRBO as a 5+ rating. Really just a 1-2 rating.
Dust
Cobwebs and yes...
Spiders.
It just smelled old
Seemed like a 40 year old fisning cabin.

Hey, David,
Maybe you didn't read the description. This cabin is very rustic and we are transparent about that, as are the pictures. We have 132 reviews between VRBO and Airbnb - a 4.8 out of 5 on airbnb and a 9.4 out of 10 on Vrbo. I'm thinking you would be best most comfortable at a hotel next time.
WONDERFUL stay, central to Tsali, NOC and Bryson city
Oh we fell in love with the Cabin immediately, the location is great, and the drive to the cabin just GORGEOUS with Scottish Highland cows and beautiful Lucy green rolling fields to look at with a pristine little mountain creek along the way. The mimosa tree by the house was in FULL bloom, along with the Hibiscus, hosta and day lily blooms creating a gorgeous backdrop for the cabin! We especially enjoyed watching the fireflies from the hot tub in the evening. This location is central to Tsali, NOC and Bryson city with is perfect for all kinds of outdoor activities. And after all the exciting stuff, a drive up Needmore road to check out the swinging bridge over the Tuckaseegee at sunset is also perfect. The hot tub and kitchen worked well, the record player was great and some of the lively surprises in the decor warmed our hearts. The beds were comfortable, although I’m glad that I didn’t have to share the double bed with anyone. Be aware if you are a COUPLE over 6’ tall and 200 pounds, the bed might seem a tad small.

Thank you, Sonia. It was a plessure hosting you :) Come back anytime!
Nice place, well stocked with spices and cooking equipment. Really nice screened in porch and outdoor fire pit so you can enjoy the outdoors rain or shine. Had items for babies…we are empty nesters with grown kids but thought that was very thoughtful of the guest to have that available. Cell service is very limited but that is typical in the NC mountains. Can get text messages and some internet just beyond the fire pit area so in a pinch there is that. Many movie selections for rainy day. Can tell the place is well maintained and cared for. Looks like it has been recently remodeled last 10 years at the most. We have kids working at NOC and it is only a 15 min drive away. 20 min max from Bryson City. This may be our “go to” place while visiting our kids.

Thanks for your kind words, Greg. I'm glad you had a nice stay. You're welcome back anytime! 😀
We loved our stay at this cabin! The hot tub was a real treat! I deducted one star due to the cleanliness of the property. When we arrived, there were dead bugs and twigs/leaves in the master bed. We live in the woods ourselves, so we know these things happen, but it was as if the bedding hadnt been changed before being made. There were no extra linens so i swept the bed off with a clean, dry towel. We also ran out of bath towels on day 2 so I washed a load but discovered that the dryer does not work. This cabin is charming and fun to stay in, but could use a few small things to make it more practical/enjoyable.
bedding had not been changed
Host is great to answer any questions promptly ! Hot tub is nice. Property is pretty and rural. Accomodations were great , with adequate room in cabin for all. No internet, unplugged experience -back to DVDs, turntables, puzzles, books ,and boardgames-was very refreshing. Location good for off-site adventures any direction if u wish to do that. Hope to return in the future !
