Perfect cozy lil cabin!! Super clean and has everything you need! Came for a weekend getaway and absolutely didn’t want to leave! The place is amazing. Very cozy, and off the beaten path. Still close to a grocery store and a convenience store. The host was amazing. Peaceful and Comfortable

Loved the sound of the brook as we enjoyed our morning coffee on the front porch's rocking chairs. In the evening, we relaxed in the crystal clean water of the hot tub. The downstairs bed was comfortable and the home was very clean. Close to Bryson City, white water rafting and the national park. We would definitely stay here again.

This property was a sweet escape and very relaxing. I could live on the front porch! The sound of the creek water running by while relaxing on the bed swing was heaven. My husband George and I purchased this lovely farmhouse in 2014 after falling in love with the Smoky Mountains. I go by Shelby, and sharing this special place with our guests truly brings me joy.

I grew up on 40 acres in Pennsylvania before moving to South Florida in the 80s, and I now call St. Augustine, Florida home. Nature has always been part of my story — from open fields and horses to mountain trails and campfires.

George is a retired Agricultural Deputy and a devoted dog dad to our two Vizslas, Rip and Whiskey. I’m also the proud human to Cleo, my sweet (and slightly opinionated) cat. We both love the outdoors, camping, and spending time with our horses — and the Smokies feel like a second home to us.

When I’m not in North Carolina, I work full time as a realtor in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. I love travel and adventure, but I equally cherish slow evenings with a good book, beautifully prepared food (whether in an elegant restaurant or somewhere delightfully unexpected), and music of all kinds — country, jazz, blues, classical, and old rock. I also appreciate a finely crafted cocktail — always top shelf.

We feel incredibly grateful to have a home in the mountains and are honored to share the peace, beauty, and adventure of this special place with you.

Why they chose this property

Before we owned this property, my husband and I used to walk past this acreage when we stayed at a nearby vacation home. We would pause and say, “Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have something like this someday?”

Then one day, a For Sale sign appeared — and it felt meant to be.

What drew us in wasn’t just the land itself, but the feeling of it. The gentle sound of the creek weaving through the trees. The wide-open space and sense of calm. The way wildlife quietly appears at dusk. It felt peaceful without feeling isolated — like a hidden pocket of the Smokies where you can truly breathe.

This neighborhood offers that rare blend of natural beauty and tranquility that makes you slow down. It’s the kind of place where mornings are quiet, evenings are star-filled, and the pace of life feels softer.

That feeling is what made us fall in love — and it’s what we hope our guests experience too.
