Private HOT TUB. Fire Pit, screened porch. 3 miles to the NOC. Resort POOL
Wanderlust Cabin is located in Nantahala Village Resort. The resort is a small resort with a lodge that has a few rooms and about 20 cabins. This is one of the original cabins from the 50’s. It is more comfortable for a couple (2 people).Kallisto's resturant is on the permises and opens in late March and there is also a little outdoor bar, Tommy's Paradise, across the street from the resort that frequently has a live band and outside seating. The cabin is an entire, stand alone cabin with a yard. Not a duplex. The cabin is convenient to everything but just far enough off the road to relax. You can sit & relax in the recessed hot tub that is located on the screened in front porch of the cabin with privacy blinds or sit in the front porch rocking chairs and rock your cares away. If you time it right, you can hear the train whistle as the train travels across the Gorge. If there is a chill in the air or just because when your in the Mts, you also need a campfire, you can build a fire in the fire pit and if you want to cook, you have a charcoal grill outside and a full kitchen inside. There are also plenty of resort amenties to enjoy such as one of the walking trails, take a dip in the pool (Mid May-Sept), play games in the game room, a small gym, the tennis/basketball court. There are even stables for horseback riding that has an additional fee. If you decide to get out for an adventure, we are a mile or so to whitewater rafting, 3 miles from the Nantahala's Outdoor Center (NOC) where there is kayaking, white water rafting, zip lining, dining options, adult beverages, cornhole or just sit in a chair by the rushing river. If you want to venture out further, you are about 10 miles to the Great Smokey Mt Railroad. Book a train ride in advance and enjoy a rare opportunity to ride the train throught the Smokey Mountains. If you enjoy casino's, Harrah's Cherokee is a 20 minute drive and Harrah's River Valley is a 30 minute drive.. If you are a biker, you are almost right in the middle of all the great motorcycle rides. It makes a great location to start and finish one part of the loop on one day and start and finish another the next day. Motorcycles are welcome in the resort. We ride ours here all the time. When you finish your day, you have a comfy queen size bed to lay down and recharge your batteries for the next day. When its time to rise and shine, there are coffee pods, ground coffee, creamers and sugar to start your day. The bathroom has a tub shower combo and just because we are all busy and sometimes forget to pack things, we have provided shampoo, comditioner, body wash, a hair dryer and make up wipes. We even have 2 TV on carts to move around for your viewing pleasure. The living room TV has Direct TV and the bedroom TV is a smart TV for streaming. The cabin also has its own WIFI. We visit as often as we can and try to have the cabin as comfortable as possible. We love it here and want to share it with you so, you can enjoy it as well. We hope to see you soon!! *This is a PET ALLERGEN FREE cabin.I have severe pet allergies and this is our second home.*

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This cozy little cabin was the perfect location for our 30th wedding anniversary. The hot tub and fire pit were the bling-bling to this gem, which was located near everything, but excluded enough for privacy. Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven among the mountains!
Really enjoyed the Wonderlust cabin. My wife and I had a great time and would stay again. Loved how it had everything we needed to cook and store food.
Couldnt have asked for a better anniversary trip. The cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The mattress was AMAZING we didnt want to leave it. Overall best stay ever and we will be back.
Loved this place. Quaint and charming cottage.Perfect for a couple. Great communication. Im definitely hoping to add this to our yearly visit list. Thanks Cynthia for a fantastic week.
Fantastic experience! This place was just what we needed and we will certainly be back. The host Cynthia was so wonderful and even checked up on us when she knew we had lost power after a storm. We truly felt welcome and at home here. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤

Thank you guys so much! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us!
This cabin is in a great location and was very clean. We stayed here while visiting Bryson City to go on The Polar Express. The cabin is close to the train station and is also close to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We hiked Tom Branch Falls and Juney Whank Falls. The cabin has a nice hot tub that is very relaxing on cold nights and mornings. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone visiting the area!!!

Overall a Great Stay
We had a little snafu with the door code that’s why I gave 3 stars for check in process. But it was handled quickly by VRBO call center and the owner. The bed was super comfy and the house was very clean. The hot tub was a nice bonus! And the decor was adorable! I would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a short getaway!

I’m not sure I understand needles in the blanket. Those are changed after each guest and all laundry is done by a professional laundry service in town. In which, we will be reaching out to once we get more information for you. We really wish you would have reached out to us. We heard nothing from you your entire stay. The split unit is only 6 months old and is in perfect working condition. Maybe it was accidentally moved to a wrong setting. Which again, we would have been glad to assist you. The hot tub is drained and cleaned after each guest. We can’t imagine why it would be cloudy. But, We absolutely cannot help or fix anything we do not know about. Reviews from guest are so very important to our livelihood and we have never had a 3 star review. We just wished we would have known so we could have assisted in some way. We sincerely apologize that you did not enjoy your stay. We take a lot of pride in making our guest happy and always go above and beyond if there is ever a need and we would have done everything within our power to try and make you comfortable.

My husband (Scott) and love the Mts. We work hard and look forward to the the times we can get away and just rock on the front porch or ride 3 miles up the road and sit by the River at the Nantahala Outdoor Center. We love when we have great weather and can ride our motorcycles up and ride the loop and explore side roads for new adventures. This cabin and this area helps us relax and we want to share it with others. We have tried to make it as comfortable as possible. We want everyone who stays to feel and home.
Why they chose this property
This neighborhood is close to everything or has enought to keep you busy if you dont want to leave. You have the resort swimming pool (opens late May-closes Sept), the tennis and basketball court, the small gym, the gameroom and for a fee the stables with horseback riding. To name a few.
What makes this property unique
This cabin is one of the few in the resort that is a stand alone and not a duplex and it is the only cabin in the resort with a screened in front porch. One of the many reasons we chose this cabin was the easy access and the amenities. Having the entire cabin with the yard, allowed us to have a firepit area. Its nice to sit by the fire and listen to nature,
