About William Himes

Bill and Linda Himes have been married for 18 years and live in Elmhurst, IL. Bill is a conductor and composer of instrumental and choral works and has over 170 publications to his credit. Bill and Linda are now both retired and plan to visit their mountain hideaway more often while leaving key holiday and spring break ski times available for rentals.

William Himes purchased this condo in 2007

Why William Himes chose Northwest

Bill and Linda have skied for years in Colorado's Summit County and bought their Silverthorne condo in 2007 in order to fully enjoy year-round the beautiful scenery and skiing and hiking in what must be one of God's favorite playgrounds. They chose this condo because of its quiet location and the supreme views of the National Forest, Breckenridge Peak 1 and Buffalo Mountain as well as the spacious and comfortable floor plan that can comfortably accommodate their extended family.

What makes this condo unique

Our condo is very comfortable place in all seasons. Its central location to retail stores, restaurants, theaters, and all ski areas in the region is a major plus that we have grown to appreciate even more through numerous visits each year. One of our favorite pastimes is to spot wildlife from our balcony - including moose, fox, muledeer, and hummingbirds.

Perfect place for a Summit County stay.

  • 5 of 5

The condo is just as it is described: great condo, great views! We had 8 people in it for a week while we skied the Summit County slopes. One set of grandparents, one set of parents and four kids (17, 15, 13, 12) fit nicely. We had everything we needed and it was even warm enough by Thursday to sit on the balcony and enjoy the spectacular scenery.

Beautiful Condo. Breathtaking Views and Quiet Surroundings.

  • 5 of 5

I took a trip with 8 of my girl friends and we had an amazing time at this condo. You get a spectacular view of Buffalo Mountain and the surrounding mountains of the Tenmile Range. None of us had stayed that high up in the mountains and it was a real treat. The condo is well equipped with everything you would need. Beds were comfortable and the space seemed bigger than it was. We were so pleased and lucky to have stayed in such an amazing place. Also very close to town and the neighboring towns that are nestled in the mountains together.

Terrific place in Silverthorne

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent five nights and we had a wonderful stay. We skied three days at Copper Mtn and one day at Arapahoe Basin. Both were conveniently close. Condo parking was great. The unit is fantastic. So clean and we had all appliances/gadgets needed to do as much cooking as we wanted (we never did eat out) . View was spectacular (saw a moose and a huge, beautiful fox. Everybody loved the sleeping/bath arrangements. Beds were all comfortable...wish my bed at home was that nice. Also enjoyed the games, puzzles and books. The hot tub was one of our favorite parts of the stay as well. Wonderful! Many thanks to Bill & Linda Himes for maintaining such a welcoming home.

Very nice with great views!

  • 4 of 5

Great condo for a ski vacation, best views in the area. Very clean and easy to get to, plus only a short drive to any of the best resorts in Summit County as well as Vail and Beaver Creek. Ski storage was the only thing I would have liked more of (the ski storage closet was full of the owner's equipment). The owner was very helpful all thou the process. Would definitely come back.
