Our condo provides convenient access to the North Beach of South Haven, as well as a short, enjoyable walk to downtown South Haven. The front porch faces east to Stanley Johnston Park which features an outdoor basketball court and swings for children. The park is host to many festivals throughout the summer, including the Blueberry Festival and South Haven Art Festival.
South Haven comes alive just before Memorial Day, and stays active right through Labor Day. There are many fun shops, great restaurants, and accommodating watering holes, all within a 5-10 minute walk. But the beach...Now THAT's what it's all about. Enjoy sun bathing, walking the shore line, strolling around the Monroe Park neighborhood, out the pier, or along the Black River to the marina.
If this is not enough, and you seek a completely different destination for the day, Saugatauk and Douglas are a short drive up Blue Star Highway. These art communities offer a totally different adventure for the day. We know you'll love it.
When you are done for the day, there is no place like...the front porch. This is a feature that provides a relaxing place for a cup of coffee, a cigar, a good book, or a conversation. From this vantage point, you can watch all that takes place at the park.
Steve and Margaret appreciate your interest in our condo. We are from Kalamazoo and have grown up greatly appreciating South Haven. Historically, the entire area has evolved into a great resort community. Exlore the area. It has a great deal to offer.

Without question, the most enjoyable part of staying at our place in South Haven is sitting on our front porch. Not only does it face Stanley Johnston Park, home to many festivals, it also features a great morning sun rise for your first coffee. Park Avenue is also a key walking route for vacationers. It is a great opportunity to greet a passerby. Also, conveniently located is our neighborhood deli, just around the corner. Be sure to say 'Hello' to Lou and Bob while you're there.
We had a wonderful time here for the third year in a row. The conco is excellent for our needs, near the beach and town and close to Johnston Park. And, we enjoyed the front porch and the quiet neighborhood.
My family had never visited this area before and didn't know too much about it. We lucked out with this place. The location is incredible--you're very close to the beach, not even a half mile from downtown, and across the street from a nice park.
The condo was clean and neat and clearly well-cared for. The kitchen was well-stocked and plenty roomy (important to us!) It was a great launching pad for a really nice visit. (And my kids are still talking about the front porch.)
We loved this place and the town. If we return (which seems likely) we'll plan on staying here again. We liked it that much.
This is a great condo..well maintained with everything you will need for your stay. For me, the highlight is the location. I've been coming to South Haven since I was a kid, and, in my opinion, this is the perfect spot. You have 3 beaches within walking distance.. the main 'north' beach, with primarily a younger crowd, as we as two closer access points that are typically more family-oriented. You are one block from north shore drive...a good thing, as that road is busy all the time in the summer months. Walk across the drawbridge and you are in downtown in minutes. Also, if you bike, as I do, don't miss the kal-haven trail.. a 36 mile linear park. The western trailhead is less than one mile from the front door. I treated myself to an entire month at the condo, and rarely needed my car. I definitely recommend this place, and hope to stay here again in the future...
