We loved the location of this VRBO. That is probably the best feature. The on-street parking was good, even on a busy weekend. Easy to get to Diamond Head, Leonard's, etc.
Excellent location, walking distance to all Waikiki. Excellent upkeep on building, workers constantly cleaning in all areas. Everyone was friendly and helpful, Jess at front desk was wonderful.
I enjoyed the location, comfort and simplicity of this apartment. Nice walking distance along the beach to the more touristy areas. The adjacent park was beautiful and active with local picnickers. The small patio on the beach had a beautiful sunset view. Parking on the street was not all that challenging.
Hope this condo is available again on my next visit to Honolulu. I was here helping my daughter move back to University of Hawaii- Monoa and the first time staying on the Diamond Head side. Perfect location as it is close to campus and offers great walks or runs up to neighbori g beaches. The lanai was amazing.
Located in an amazing part of town, the "Gold Coast," this property has a 60's vibe and feels local. The place was clean and a good value. I fear that hotels/condos like this one will slowly disappear and be replaced by non-descript buildings.
We surely enjoyed our stay! The King bed was very comfortable. The only drawback...the small lamp did not provide enough lighting for the room. The bedside lights were adequate.
Very convenient location, street parking was pretty easy to find, except on Saturdays. The room is a bit dark, I wish it had better overhead lighting. Otherwise it was a nice spot for our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay. The ocean front garden was just breathtaking. We appreciated the location being removed from all the action of Waikiki. We got our steps in walking to dinner every night. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The carpet could have used a cleaning, but everything was else was clean and in working order. We could have used an extra blanket, but found the bed comfortable.
The location was absolutely incredible. The people around the property were friendly. Snorkelling was steps out of the room and well worth it. It was night and day from the hustle and bustle of waikiki but close enough so that it was essy to get to.
I HIGHlY recommend this property.
Nothing but a fantastic experience from beginning to end.
I've stayed in the DHBH for the last ten years, from penthouse to ground floor. It's the best location on the south shore. I've always found the apartments to be clean, well maintained and tastefully furnished, and all different.Unlike some vrbo's I've stayed in, which were utterly disgusting, looked like they were furnished by goodwill and garage sales, and look nothing like the photos.
We had an issue with the internet and the property manager sent somebody up right away to fix it. All else was fine, with one exception. Finding parking was very difficult. If you stay here, I would opt for paying extra for their parking spot if available.
The property is great! What wasn’t great was messaging and calling when power went out in the kitchen and bathroom with ZERO response from the host. We lost over $70 worth of food in the mini-fridge. Overall a great place and we are grateful the AC still worked!
My husband and I stayed at Marks condo for four nights while we visited our daughter was attending UH. The location was perfect for us. At the very end of the Waikiki strip. Very quiet and easy to get in and out as we took day trips. Mark was very responsive in answering our questions. Parking was awesome very secure a garage.
We took advantage of the two beach chairs that are in the closet but brought our own snorkeling gear. There’s only one mask one snorkel and one set of flippers. The place was very clean and exactly what we wanted and needed. We will definitely stay here again

Diamond head older condo
This older unit is across from park. Difficult street parking, rec paying for parking. The beach in front of unit rocky and hard to access but San Soucii Beach is a couple blocks away. No grocery nearby but small convenience store 1 block. The unit has a small refrigerator, coffee pot , toaster, microwave. An electric skillet is the cookware. Diswashing is in bathroom sink which drains sluggishly Hard to really cook a meal there, kind of like college style cookIng setup.
While not the newest or the most upgraded choice in the Diamond Head Beach Hotel, this unit was just find for a week in Honolulu for the two of us. My wife and I have stayed in this building many times, and we love the quiet location, the gorgeous ocean front "back yard" shared by all the tenants and the easy walk to the beach, park and all that Waikiki offers. The Diamond Head Beach Hotel has always been a bargain compared with many buildings in the heart of Waikiki and we love it so much more than those because we are out of the high traffic, high noise area when we stay here. It's important to remember that because of the pyramid shape of the building, the units get smaller as they get higher. So the bigger units are on the lower floors. We didn't pay for parking because there is free overnight parking in the park across the street and we've never had a problem with parking there overnight. So we would be happy to stay there again and this unit was just fine overall.

High-rise Motel 6
Quiet location, albeit hard to find. Friendly desk staff. Given that we spent very little time here (only here to sleep at night) it got the job done. This is basically an old high rise hotel. Room was clean and moderately updated. Shower only high enough for a person 5’6” or less. Air conditioning is a window unit that drones LOUDLY and you cannot turn it off to have a few moments of peace. Not much lighting to read while sitting on the couch at night. I had hopes of sitting in the grassy area and watching the waves come onto the beach but the grassy area butts up to a sea wall. No beach here. Parking is… challenging. And an expensive challenge at that. Tiny garage and it feels a little discomforting to park on the street, which is a 5 min walk away, and walk to the hotel at 10pm. Refrigerator is dorm room size, low watt microwave. Folding lawn chairs for the beach available. Like I said, it got the job done but did not make me feel relaxed on this part of my vacation.
