This three-story home set back from the road is a perfect vacation spot for families or couples. With its enormous decking on the upper two levels and lower level, and an outdoor shower, this house is perfect for summer fun. The decks have lots of outdoor furniture, hammock, and 4 separate eating areas. As of 2014, the house now has central AC throughout along with a ceiling fan in every bedroom and living space. A newly constructed billiard room gives this house a real vacation feel. The upper level contains a Large Master suite, spacious kitchen with dining room and a living room with 1/2 bath and stone fireplace. The kitchen consists of stainless steal appliances i.e.- 5 burner cook top stove, oven/convectional, wall mount microwave, subzero refrigerator/ freezer, ample counter space with a breakfast bar and decks off both sides, both with gas grills. The master suite is a large bedroom with cathedral ceilings, a king bed, walk-in closet, glass slider onto deck and its own very large private bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub for 2, separate glass enclosed stall shower and a bidet. The downstairs consists of a bedroom with its own connected private bath, 3 other bedrooms and 2 other bathrooms. Two bedrooms have queens, two have doubles and every room comes with a flat screen and one has its own deck access. The downstairs also has a den with leather automatic reclining couches and a 3D 70'' Flat screen. The laundry room comes with a washer and dryer and a side door that leads to the outdoor shower which is very private and equipped with its own changing room. The lower level has a pool table, living area, complete wet bar with mini refrigerator, 1/2 bath, and a large bedroom with a queen bed with a private sitting area. The 2 ½ car garage has room for two cars, bike storage and comes equipped with surf racks. The front yard consists of the driveway with parking for multiple cars, multi-level garden beds and a swing set. The back yard is a large grassy lawn with access to both the upper and lower decks. This home is located walking distance to the fishing harbor and restaurants. The beach is just a 2 minute drive away. Pets welcome. ****This listing also comes with a Beach Parking Pass. Gorgeous Property, Great Location

We stayed in Lorraine's home with my family and In-laws, 13 people all together, including 2 children. We were out in Montauk for my private wedding ceremony. This home was a spacious and attractive. Spread out over 3 levels, with a bi-level balcony, this home never felt crowded but yet still felt cozy and inviting. The home is up the road from Gosman's Dock, and comes with a beach pass. A beautiful home I would gladly rent again. My only wish is better communication with the owner, but I had an excellent experience renting and staying in this home.

Perfect place to stay for a large family, loved it

We were in Montauk for a family wedding and wanted our family from all over the country to be able to stay together. Lorraines home really was perfect. The listing did describe the home very well. We loved the decor and how spacious it is. The decks were fantastic.. It if was too hot we used the downstair deck and if anyone wanted to sunbathe they would use the top deck. The home was very clean and will maintained. I would highly reccomend this home for a large family. We were there for a wedding so it was great for our four adult children and their families and us.. The large table in the kitchen was the center or attraction for us. Just to be able to sit and chat and catch up with everyone was something I will treasure forever. You could not do this at a motel. There is a pool table downstairs which was so much fun for our boys, and we did use the bikes also. Just a heads up as we did have a little trouble finding the home because our google map could not find it. It was no problem because I called Lorraine and she came out to the end of her driveway and waved us in! I would certainly recommend this property to anyone!

We found that "16 Gravesend Ave " worked better than the actual address.

Stellar experience. Highly recommended!

This house was amazing. This was my 4th summer in Montauk and by far the best house experience. Clean, HUGE, has several outdoor decks including 2 grills and a hammock. The house accommodated 14 people very comfortably. It was a perfect set up for several couples and friends. At no point did we feel on top of one another. The house was even stocked with essentials such as shower towels, toilet paper and paper towels, which was much appreciated. Lorraine was a pleasure to work with and made our stay run as smoothly as possible. She's organized, helpful and very responsive. I will absolutely book this house again in the future and highly recommend it to anyone interested in Montauk. Thanks, Lorraine!

Amazing House & Stay in Magical Montauk; Will Return and Re-book with Lorraine!

I loved, loved, loved this house and this trip to Montauk. It is my 3rd time vacationing here and this is by far the best stay so far. This mainly has to do with Lorraine's wonderful family home. First of all, I must say that it is HUGE and very comfortable for large parties. The 6 bedrooms comfortably sleep 12 people, but we had more in the house given the number of large couches there were in the home. The house has clearly been re-done and the tasteful and charming beach-decor is visible throughout. It is a great get-away house. I came to celebrate my b-day weekend with 14 of my closest friends, and at no point did we feel like we were on top of each other. Very comfortable, very clean, and very well maintained. The Kitchen and outdoor space was easy to entertain in and in a great location in Montauk – quite, but central. Do note that a car is needed – or you can cab – but it is not a walk from the beach, but yes a short drive. But we knew this being return visitors and Lorraine explained this as well. Lorraine was incredibly responsive throughout the weekend, which I very much appreciated. Contrary to the first review, we did not find the house stuffy or smelling like dog, but the carpets had indeed recently been cleaned. We had full AC and fans as well. The decks and the outdoor furniture was also great. The majority of the beds are full beds, 2 were queens and the Master was a king, so do note that some of the rooms will be better for couples and kids as opposed to 2 friends shacking up.

The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need to cook, though do inventory of soap & paper towels, etc before you do your shopping at the IGA.

All-in-all, I would highly recommend.

A Great Stay!

We came out with our children and another family and this house was perfect! The house had AC throughout and 6 bedrooms with plenty of space for everyone. The decor was very classy and the rooms were spacious and all had large flat screens. The deck space is unbelievable with lots of furniture and outdoor speakers that link the the main stereo! The kitchen came with everything you could need. We couldn't have asked for anything better! After reading the only other review about this property we were a little skeptical, but the house was great! (no room smelt like dog lol) I recommend this house to anyone who wants to come to Montauk.

Not as advertised

The house was very nice except one of the bedrooms belonged to the dog. The room smelled so bad that it was unlivable. The owner explanation was that the carpet was just cleaned and didn't have a chance to dry..?? It also states that each bedroom has a/c which is not accurate. All but one room had a/c. It was so hot that that room was also unlivable under those conditions. The 5 bedroom rental turned into a 3 bedroom...3 families w/ 5 kids stuffed in 3 rooms. The common living areas are not equipped with a/c either. Very uncomfortable. Can do much better for that price.

Owner's Response: We are very sorry that you had a bad experience. In the description of the house at the time of your rental, the bedrooms all had air conditioning (as advertised) and the living areas only had fans. We are sorry for the confusion. The room that smelt like "dog" had just had its carpet cleaned, meaning the carpet was still wet. We came back to the house the day after you checked in responding to you complaint and saw that all the windows and doors to the room were closed with condensation on the window glass. We agree that the room did smell bad due the lack of ventilation and the heat of the summer. Any wet upholstery locked up in a room without ventilation is going to smell bad especially when you add 3 windows and a glass slider that let in sunlight to heat things up! We advised upon check in that that room had been cleaned last and we apologized that it was not dry yet. But we also advised that the windows needed to be kept open so the carpet would dry properly. We should have had the house 100% ready upon check in, but the carpet company was late and we wanted to the house to be as clean as possible for your enjoyment. We also came back the day after check in and fixed the bad smelling room by opening the windows and re-cleaning the carpet and after which the room smelt fine.
