This handsome, sunny home in Monte Rio offers privacy and convenience. Cocooned by towering redwoods, this gorgeous house next to Northwood Golf Course combines lovely views with traditional comforts.

Inside you’ll find a thoughtfully appointed interior with all the comforts of home. Cathedral ceilings soar in the open living area. Relax and restore in one of two comfy bedrooms - or the loft!

Whip up delicious dishes in the convenient full kitchen, or head out to the deck and fire up the grill. Extra perks include a washer/dryer for more extended stays.

The Russian River area has many narrow, windy roads, many homes are on hills, and some have many stairs. If any of these factors could be an issue for you, please discuss your concerns with us before booking this home.
Quiet hours must be observed between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. No outdoor amplified sound is allowed.
This home does not have air-conditioning.
The fireplace/woodstove is not operational.

Close to Golf Course/No traffic noise

Needs some TLC reported to Vacasa Inc.along with photos upon arrival, minor maintenance issues: exhaust fan middle bathroom not working, toilet seat loose uppers bathroom about to fall off, sliding glass doors hard to open.

Wild Life

We saw otters every morning and in the evenings . To me I’ve seen them few times in different parts of the river but for some reason they love this part of the river especially Came up a couple feet away looked at me and had no fear at all amazing thing to see in person.

Disappointed

This place needs some TLC, the only room that was updated was the bedroom downstairs The 2 bedrooms and bathroom on main floor and loft were horrible and way out of date. No way to get to water just a whole bunch of bushes. Stairs were up behind the house. No access to water

Tremendous potential, but clearly overpriced at the end of the day

This cabin is a real diamond in the rough. I hope it ends up on the market soon. The good: 1. location 2. the loft room 3. the views from the deck across the river the bad: 1. VRBO "host fees" that jack up the overall price unnecessarily. I mean, someone must be making plenty of money still, without these fees. and what exactly is the "host" doing if they cant even get the dock to be set up !? 2. the lack of landscape maintenance which inhibits the potential view that could be had 3. the kitchen is poorly understocked which could be easily remedied by a single trip to a Thrift Store 4. the fact that there could be river access for swimming, kayaking, fishing, etc, but the floating dock and staircase sit idly underneath the deck of the house (and its mid-summer yet nobody has bothered to set it up) 5. exorbitant cleaning fees which should be pro-rated. One would pay the same fee whether they stayed three nights or thirty - wholly unfair to the short term renter.

Nice little retreat

We did enjoy staying here but it is not at all handicapped friendly. The dock seemed very dangerous and was sketchy walking to the river, however was better than no dock. One of the bedrooms is under the main part of the house and you can hear everything upstairs. We really enjoyed the quiet retreat and the personal access to the river.

Redwood Paradise

We enjoyed our stay. The house was a good size but kitchen was small. Could use some updating and new carpets. The back deck was nice to sit on and watch the River go by. The neighborhood was quiet and nice for long walks. We loved being able to walk to the golf course.

Needs a little more TLC

We like to try new places, so we saw this place and the pictures were okay but next time take a moment to zoom into the pictures. So we arrived and I opened the door and the 1st thing was a musty old smell from the entrance and throughout the house. Had to open some windows even though it was raining hard outside. We did not let water into the house. I guess the house had not been used for a while. The baseboard in the bedroom had not been attached right and each time you moved in the bed it would hit the wall, and we had a hard time sleeping. We had to put something behind the bed board so it would not hit the wall. We understood that the fireplaces did not work, but it looks like that been like that for awhile. Sorry to say we won't come back to this house. It's needs some TLC. Tony
