Why Beth chose Bodega Bay

Why 'Aftermath?' In 1955, our grandparents, math teachers from Concord, California, bought this fisherman’s cabin to spend summers away from the East Bay heat. Over the years, next generations have expanded and improved it, while maintaining its charm. In honor of our grandparents, we call it 'Aftermath.'

My wife and I and my service dog had a good time

  • 5 of 5

We used only the queen-size mattress, because I didn't go down the steps to the bedroom with the king-size. We stay in a lot, but we went out to dinner three nights, taking my service dog with me one night, another night we took him to a sitter, the last night we had a sitter come to the cabin.

Tranquility

  • 5 of 5

We loved the warmth and cozy feel of this cabin. The view is amazing! We had rain for a couple of the days, and slept peacefully at night to the sound of the rain on the roof and the sound of the waves. On my 60th birthday, we awoke to a beautiful sunny morning and had a warm, wonderful day. It was quite a gift! The front yard has a beautiful garden with hummingbirds and butterflies caring for the flowers. The cabin is very comfortable and the rooms are of good size. The view is unbelievable from inside and from outside in the hot tub and the sitting area. Very tranquil and an amazing place!

Cozy cabin with a killer view

  • 5 of 5

Nicely appointed place. Beware there’s no cell service but we got around that with FB messenger & the house phone.

Fantastic for a romantic getaway

  • 5 of 5

I can’t say enough positive things about this house. The location and views are absolutely gorgeous. Besides walking to the beach, we never left the house once we arrived. The hot tub and fire pit make for a great sunset and nighttime experience. There is good quality BBQ and well-appointed kitchen.

It was great to be back at the Aftermath!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay and is one of our favorite family vacations. Walks on the beach, dining at the nearby restaurants such as River's End and Lucas Wharf, wine tasting in Healdsburg, and watching the waves crash! What could be better? And clam chowder from Spud Point Crab Company is not to be missed. Be sure to bring your favorite book to enjoy while you sit admiring the view is this comfy well appointed cabin. We'll be back!
