Welcome to School Street Haven!
Come and stay at your own vacation Haven, where all your loved ones are welcome! This newly renovated house has everything you need to enjoy both the lovely little town of South Haven, and the always gorgeous Lake Michigan waters.

INSIDE THE HOME

If staying back at the house is more your style, there is a ready-to-go kitchen, with an outdoor grill. All utensils and cookware are provided. Only thing that's needed is food, and your inner chef's touch! There is a patio in the back, with a bonfire pit waiting to help cook those late evening smores. The house has both upper and lower living areas, with two smart TVs for easy streaming hook up. Wifi provided. Board games and a foosball table are also waiting for the whole family to enjoy as well!

We hope to make your stay both enjoyable not only for you, but also for any furry or non-furry children you have. For the little ones, the house includes a pack-n-play, booster seat, bin of toys, and an outdoor toddler roller coaster toy. A basement bedroom includes a set of two bunkbeds, with four twin sized beds, so the sleepovers can continue! The iconic Kids Corner playground is located just five blocks away. This beautiful attraction is just across the street from a large Lake Michigan beach. Your canine babies are welcome to join the fun too! (pet fee applies, two dog maximum). We provide dog bowls along with a fully fenced in back yard so they can roam freely. South Haven prides itself on being extremely dog friendly, with many businesses and local parks allowing you to bring them along, including the beautiful Van Buren Park just minutes down the road.

The location of School Street Haven provides a home base that is four blocks (five-minute walk) from all the activities, restaurants, and shops that the city has to offer. It is six blocks from the Lake Michigan South Beach (less than 15 minute walk), where you have your pick of entertainment. Whether it's enjoying the new splash pad, walking the pier, stopping in at the South Beach Café, or just simply enjoying the sandy beach shores.

Such a great stay! Location was close to town and an easy walk to the beach. Great space for two families with teen kiddos with a living space on the main floor and a hangout space in the basement. Lovely stay in South Haven!

My husband, my mom, and my two dogs came with me on this visit to South Haven, and we loved the property. There was ample room to have a slightly larger family stay, so we had plenty of space. We loved having a fenced in backyard for the dogs to play and roam, and we were ~15 minute walk from the lake, ~8 min walk downtown. The area was clean, felt safe, and we would definitely stay again!

Great Mini Vacay!!

Really cute and comfortable cottage at a great location to both downtown and the beach. Wish we could have stayed longer!! House is tastefully decorated and has everything you might need. The only thing we noticed that could be improved was the window draperies were very light and bright and no blinds. No chance of sleeping in! The back fence area is quite interesting too. Had a great time here!!

Wonderful family 4th vacay

The house was cozy and had more than all the things we needed. With 2 dogs and 2 babies plus 6 adults, the space was laid out perfectly. Most of our time was in the adjoining kitchen/family room and there was space for us all. The kitchen is stocked well with dishes/appliances/pots and pans. There is even a blender for our wine slushies and a cabinet full of pup supplies. The basement space was well used with a nice variety of kids toys so we didn't have to stress about not packing enough toys. The outdoor children's roller coaster was a big hit for both of our babies under 3 y/o. The dogs enjoyed playing catch in the well-fenced yard although the gate and latch felt a little unstable, it worked just fine. The fire pit was enjoyed at night to help eliminate the mosquitos and was perfect. I would recommend this space for a family stay and if we ever make it back to South Haven, we would rent this home again. Great walking distance to town and the beach.

Cute South Haven house!

We stayed at this house for our family vacation along with our pups as it is dog friendly! It worked out great for the dogs with the fenced in backyard and enough space for yard games, patio with a fire pit, and deck with table. The house is within walking distance of town and the beach, which was great! ! The only reason I gave 4 star rating overall was due to poison ivy along the fence line and patio lights that were on the fence but nowhere to plug in? The propane tank had to be changed out. The host had their maintenance guy to do it the very next morning. They were very responsive and easy to communicate with! Would not hesitate to rent again~ very positive experience!

This was my family's third time to South Haven and third rental in the area. Everyone agreed that this house was the best!!! This place had it all - location, space and amenities! We were walking distance from the lighthouse and Phoenix St. which worked really well for the teens and pups. And don't be fooled! This place doesn't look like it can accommodate 10, but it absolutely did! We weren't on top of each other, and everyone had space to rest and relax. And the amenities were the best! There were emergency toiletries, kitchen needs and plenty of paper supplies. There were dog bowls for the pups, who loved the fenced-in backyard, and tons of toys and outside playthings for littler kids. We didn't get to enjoy the outdoor amenities with it being winter, but we hope to stay again soon!!!

Cute clean house

This rental was very cute and very clean. There are two bedrooms upstairs with a full bath and two bedrooms downstairs with a bath. The upstairs bath has a bath shower combination and downstairs has a shower. One bedroom downstairs is set up with two sets of bunkbeds which would be great for large families. There is also a den/gameroom downstairs. We had our dogs with us who experienced stairs for the first time! The yard could use a little TLC. I knew that the fence was a picket fence before booking. But the planks were spaced far enough apart that our terrier could get through so we never could let them off leash. And the patio furniture could stand to be cleaned. That was the only reason for the 4 star rating instead of a 5 star. It was easy to access everything in South Haven from this property - well South Haven isn't that big. There is a nice kitchen. We only did breakfast at the house but everything we needed was there. We took the dogs for walks at night and they loved all the squirrels and cats that they met along the way. The property manager was very responsive with instructions on entering the house. We would still consider this house again in the future as it was very clean and very cute.
