Start your mornings with coffee on the back deck, then take the short stroll to Oak Street Beach for sand, sun, and lake breezes. When you're ready to explore, downtown South Haven is just minutes away, filled with shops, farmers market finds, and local dining.



Back at the cottage, rinse off in the outdoor shower and settle into the cozy open-concept living space. The living room is perfect for movie nights and laid-back afternoons, with plenty of room to stretch out and unwind.



When it’s time to eat, fire up the grill for an easy summer cookout or head inside to a fully equipped kitchen designed to keep things simple, stress-free, and delicious. The dining table doubles as game central, where board games, cards, and laughter carry the evening.



With four bedrooms and three full bathrooms, there’s space for everyone to relax. The main floor features a private primary suite with a queen bed and ensuite bath, plus an additional queen bedroom. The bunk room, with two sets of twin bunks, is a favorite for kids and the young at heart.



Downstairs, the walk-out lower level is all about fun and downtime, with foosball, Pac-Man, a cozy hangout space, and an additional queen bedroom plus sleeper sofa for extra guests.



Outside, the backyard is made for easy outdoor living. Lounge with a book, let the kids play, or gather around the firepit as the evening winds down.



You’ll also find thoughtful extras throughout, including a Level 2 EV charger, five bikes and a scooter for cruising into town, and a wagon stocked with beach gear. Back at the house, cornhole and Kan Jam keep the fun going.



With the beach just steps away and downtown a short 10-minute walk, Summerwood Cottage is the perfect home base for your South Haven escape.



The Neighborhood:

The North Side neighborhood is renowned for its pristine public beaches, distinctive vacation residences, historic bed and breakfast establishments, and the iconic North Beach concession stand. Opportunities to enjoy the delicious local eats abound in this charming beach-side neighborhood. Relaxation and fun are easy to find here! Bask in the sun on the sandy shores of the North Shore Drive beaches, enjoy a leisurely walk in Stanley Johnston Park, or take in the local history and stunning views at the Michigan Maritime Museum and bustling marina!

Prior to your arrival you will receive all pertinent check-in information communicated via email and mobile SMS messaging. This will include all necessary information to access this luxurious home and make it your own, as well as a local destination guide with our personal recommendations on local eats and activities in the area.



We also provide an after hours emergency phone number to call in case an issue arises outside of our standard business hours. Additionally, we provide you with a mobile SMS number that you can text message to get a hold of one of our local area experts.
