Beachfront House - Dogs OK - Pool, Near Golf

At Siren's Song you wake up to the sun rising over the Atlantic and sip your coffee on the deck while the waves roll in. This single-family beachfront house in Murrells Inlet sits behind natural dunes, a rare find in a market of condos. Watch the kids splash in the pool, shared by only 10 homes, then walk down to the sand. Dogs welcome. Made for family beach weeks, golf getaways, and quiet off-season escapes.

Ocean views from every level. Both king rooms look out over the water and share a balcony, perfect for the first coffee of the day. The main level opens to a deck with stairs down to the pool and the beach, so you can watch the kids in the water while you cook or relax. There's room for the whole family: two king rooms, a bunk room for kids and cousins, and a back bedroom with a full bed and a twin bunk. The kitchen is fully equipped, laundry is in the house, and 500 Mbps fiber WiFi covers the whole home. The master suite has a work space and each bedroom has a Roku TV. Linens and towels are included, along with starter supplies for the kitchen and bath. Beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, and boogie boards are provided, and yoga mats and a Pilates kit are ready for morning workouts.

Dogs are welcome: up to 2 at $75 per night, with no deposit. Morning walks start right at the dunes.

The whole house is yours. The pool, beach access, outdoor showers, and grass area are shared with only the 10 homes in Portofino I. The pool is heated April through October and Thanksgiving week. Parking: room for up to 4 cars, under the house and on the driveway, one behind the other. No parking pass needed. A free public lot about 250 feet south is available for daytime overflow.

Portofino I is a small neighborhood of only 10 homes in the Garden City Beach area of Murrells Inlet, with direct beach access.

Our group loved this house. It was just as the pictures showed it. We had easy access to the pool and the beach. All rooms were clean and ready to go. We had no problems communicating with our host. All my friends want to come back to this place. We had so much fun!!

House was a little dated, cheap furniture, beds very hard, overall clean, host was very attentive to the issues we had, air conditioner did not work upstairs, new unit installed while we were there. Plug in bathroom was not GFI, almost a fire when we used a hair dryer, that was replaced with a new plug & cost of hair dryer was refunded. Very nice set up, close to pool & steps away from the beach. Overall, for what we paid for a week, price was fair.

The picture of the property was much better than actual house. There were lots of rust and dirt on the stair railings. The furniture in the house was cheap. The owner was quick to respond to our complaint that the charcoal was too rusted to cook on and replaced it the next day and even provided charcoal. The air conditioning was very good and the location was excellent. The pool was nice. We really like Garden City.We have rented much nicer houses in the past for half as much money.

Just right!

The house is very nice with plenty of sleeping space, seating, and hanging out space! Our favourites include the balconies with clear views of the ocean & pool. The kids loved the pool!!

Perfect location!

So this place was perfect for what we needed to have a little family vacation and enjoy Myrtle Beach bike week. It was close enough to everything we needed. It’s centrally located and you stay out of the chaos to enjoy a nice relaxing. Vacation property was perfect for two SUVs and six motorcycle motorcycles to fit in the driveway. Beautiful views of the ocean and close to the stairs and the pool! The house itself was in great condition and clean! The linen service was a plus because most places you have to order it, and this was included! Great stay! Enjoy!

Christmas vaca with family

Location perfect overlooking ocean! Furniture is dated; 1 set bunk beds upstairs not sturdy and shakes..not safe to sleep top bunk. Back bedrooms have blinds, but no curtains and lighting from pool deck is a nuisance at night.

The location was perfect. Having said that, the house needs some serious attention. The outdoor railing and decking and steps need cleaned and painted if not replaced. The interior furniture is the most uncomfortable beds and living room furniture we have ever encountered. The entire house needs a SERIOUS update.

Terrific Place for a Family

Sirens Song was the perfect location for a beach vacation. Over looking the pool & only steps to the beach access were the ideal set up for traveling with a 4 year old. No lugging beach chairs long distances to the beach & back, and the pool was the perfect spot to end the day. The property is well maintained & clean. We opted to do the linen delivery service offered & it was a very easy process. The beds are very firm - just a heads up; comfortable but firm. The host was quick to respond when we needed assistance with the fridge on our second day. The view from either patio was beautiful. As a travel heads up - you can’t have anything other than an umbrella on the beach (no tents of any kind) - the host provided a rental company for us (Woody’s) and they were great too! They got us two umbrellas for the week & dropped them off & picked them up at the airport be of ours stay. Great place, great vacation!

The online description and the price paid for a one week stay (over 10K) did not reflect the actual condition of the property which was tired. Worn furniture and carpeting was below expectations: outdoor furniture stained and soiled; we could not sit on porch off the master bedrooms because the furniture was covered mildew. Also kitchen dishes and pots and glassware were old and stained; drawers dirty cupboards also dirty. Pillows on beds were ancient , and some beds had pillows that should be thrown away. Decks and stairways need cleaning and painting. So-called patio beneath home needed sweeping; grills were old and dirty. No chairs or beach toys beneath stairs as described in listing. Windows filthy, and some screens torn. Outdoor trash bins are so dirty you have to hold your breath when you open them. On the positive side issues with air conditioning and a broken outdoor stair way handrail were addressed effectively by VRBO HOST, Harley. He was polite and helpful at all times. I’m not sure when he actually saw this homeIf I had not brought my son’s family with me I would not have stayed the week. As it was we departed a day early. Overall it was a one - star property.

I take all guest experiences seriously, and I want you to know I’ve read and considered every point you made. As you mentioned, I was able to assist with the A/C and stair rail during your stay, but it’s clear there were other issues that impacted your experience more significantly—especially related to cleanliness and wear. While I don’t live onsite, I personally manage the property and do my best to ensure it’s well-maintained through regular check-ins and trusted support. That said, this feedback shows me that several things need more attention, and I’ve already started addressing them. I’m currently working on updates to furniture, kitchen items, and outdoor spaces, as well as a deeper refresh overall. I’m committed to making this home more comfortable and reflective of the value guests expect. I appreciate you sharing your experience, and I’m truly sorry it didn’t live up to what you—and I—had hoped it would be.

We’ve stayed at multiple houses in this area, this one didn’t disappoint! Pool is fantastic, location is fantastic, amenities are fantastic. We had 3 families, 6 adults and 4 kids ages 6, 8, 14, and 17. We parked a 15 passenger van and an expedition under the house comfortably. Checkout was a breeze and final cleanup was minor and greatly appreciated!
