Nice cabin, secluded, but not too secluded...
The cabin was exactly as advertised (which is good). We have stayed in other cabins that did not live up to the description, but this one does. It's the woods, so there will be insects and critters! A few ants and bees, but that should be expected. The cabin was very clean and everything worked. The fenced in back yard is great for dogs, but it is a short fence, so just be aware if you bring a big dog. We relaxed, we grilled, we played pool, we watched TV, etc... The upstairs loft area has 2 beds that can sleep 2 adults, but might be better for 2 kids. The master bedroom has a very soft bed that can sleep 2, and the downstairs has a Murphy bed that can sleep 2 if needed. The furniture is very clean and soft, but seating is a little limited. It is a small cabin after all. There was 3 adults and a dog in total in my group and it worked just fine. All bathrooms (2 of them) were clean and functional. The doors are a little narrow, but it is still accessible by wheel chair. We stayed 3 days and loved it. I highly recommend it if you have a group of 3 or 4 and maybe a dog. The cabin is located about 15 minutes away from Blur Ridge, and about the same from Coppers hill, TN, and close to North Carolina too. We had a great time and would highly recommend it.
Lovely cabin has everything!
Beautiful cabin. Clean, fully stocked, everything you need for a lovely weekend with your family. Although the weather prohibited outdoor activities, the pool table and the views were a hit. The main-floor bath room could be larger for better wheelchair access. The fenced yard was great for ou two small dogs. We loved the cabin and the weekend. And we would definitely rebook.
Secluded family gathering
The cabin is lovely and comfortable. We were grateful our hosts provided a huge notebook filled with information about the cabin and the area, restaurant menus, and nearby places to visit! We had planned to be out and about to enjoy the mountain vistas and suggestions in the notebook, but the only time it did not rain was the afternoon we arrived and the morning we left. There were lots of books and videos at the cabin, as well as DISH network, so we had plenty to do while having to stay inside. Our hosts checked on us by phone to make sure all was well, and we were appreciative.
Perfect property in Mineral Bluff
Everything about our stay was perfect. Larry and Joyce were amazing hosts and provided us with everything we needed to feel right at home. The property is beautiful, the house was clean and well cared for, and had all the necessary amenities. There was plenty of space, the kitchen was stocked with every appliance we could have needed, the beds were comfortable, the TV worked great, and the walking trail in the backyard was perfect for an evening stroll. We had an amazing time and didn’t want to leave! Would recommend this property to everyone!
Fantastic visit. Beautiful cabin with all the aminites. The owners go out of their way to make sure your stay is memorable. We will be back again and again.
Happy to hear you enjoyed your visit and will be back, I enjoyed talking with the both of you.
We felt a sense of comfort from the time we first entered The Little Cabin in the Woods, and that feeling never left.
Larry and Joyce were truly gracious hosts who thought of everything to make our stay a most memorable one, right down to starting a fire in the woodburning stove for us!
We are so grateful, and hope we can return again sometime.
