My husband and I stayed here for the Mountain Glory Festival in Marion. Easy drive to Black Mountain and Marion. The cabin was cozy with thoughtful touches throughout. The owner was great at communicating both before and after our stay. Highly recommended

A Beautiful Respite

Lisa has a beautiful property in a very rejuvenating spot in nature near Black Mountain and other natural sites. She was very accommodating and even had a birthday cinnamon with a personalized birthday card waiting for me upon check in. The location and property were beautiful. Lisa was super easy to contact and even had suggestions of places to see and eat. Loved it! Definitely booking again!

Old Fort N.C.

Very nice newly constructed cabin that fits two comfortably but could have three people. Awesome property, however there is a wedding venue next door so you may want to check if a reception is booked the night(s) you stay. The music did stop at 9 pm for us. I will definitely go back.

This property sits on 16 acres where we also own an operate a beautiful wedding venue that we referred to as "Simple elegance". Check us out on social media sites as "The Pond at Laurel Cove". If you know of anyone recently engaged who loves the outdoors please give us a shout out! Thanks for taking the time see what our labor of love looks like!

What makes this property unique

We love our location. We are 1 mile from I-40. Very convenient but tucked in the woods so you feel like you are miles away. Old Fort is a sleepy little town that is being revitalized and turning very vibrant! Great breweries, cafes and ice cream shops within a mile and a half. The best hiking and biking around within 5 miles from the cabin. Check out the G5 Collective trails.

If you are up to exploring, nearby is the great little town of Black Mountain- 10 minutes away. Beautiful boutique shops and great restaurants. Of course, we can't forget the eclectic city of Asheville, less than 30 minutes from the cabin. Very artsy, happening downtown, the gorgeous Biltmore house and more restaurants and coffee shops than you can imagine. You will never run out of things to do within 30 minutes of the cabin!
