Pikes Peak Retreat - Amazing Views, Spacious Cabin

Pikes Peak Retreat is a spacious cabin with amazing views of Pikes Peak and the surrounding forest. Nestled on over an acre, the Cabin is the perfect getaway for families and groups looking to explore all of the nearby attractions or relax and connect. High-speed internet, dog-friendly with multiple areas to give everyone their own space. Pikes Peak Retreat is just 45 minutes from Colorado Springs, close to Wolf Sanctuary, Florissant Fossil Beds, Mueller State Park, and of course, Pikes Peak!

Please note - there is no hot tub at our cabin.

Bedrooms
There are 4 bedrooms in the cabin. A main floor bedroom with a king bed and en-suite bathroom. Upstairs features two bedrooms - one with a queen and one with a bunkbed with two full beds. Don't miss the secret Kids Cave in the kids room, with their own books, toys and bean bags. Downstairs is another bedroom with a queen bed.

Bathrooms
There are 3 bathrooms in the cabin - one on each level. The main floor bathroom has a tub (no shower). Downstairs is a shower and upstairs is a tub/shower. Tons of crisp white towels are available for your full stay.

Kitchen
The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pans and basic items to make your stay easy. A coffee pot with filters is available and we do our best to have coffee on hand to ensure those early morning risers are taken care of!

Pets
We do accept pets on the property, however, there is no fence on the property and dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Our cabin is on a hill (for the great views!) and there is not a lot of flat space for dogs to run.

The Neighborhood
Guests are welcome to take walks around the lake and ponds in the neighborhood. However, lake access (boating and fishing) and use of the common area/pavilion is only allowed for homeowners and is regularly patrolled.

Groceries
Just 8 minutes away is downtown Divide with a grocery store, two gas stations, and a liquor store. Head another 10 minutes to Woodland Park with a Walmart, City Market and Natural Grocers.

The Area
Divide is 15 minutes from Woodland Park - home to dozens of great restaurants, the Dinosaur Resource Center, and awesome nearby ATV trails. Or, head towards Cripple Creek for a historic town and casinos. Or, toward Florissant with great hiking and the famous fossil beds. Colorado Springs is just 45 minutes away - and features the Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, and so much more.

Getting Here
The cabin is on over an acre of wooded land in the Spring Valley neighborhood - which has gravel roads. The awesome view means we are on the top of a hill - and AWD is highly recommended, especially during winter months. We also suggest only using the lower driveway entrance unless you have a high clearance 4WD vehicle.

As I sat by the table on the deck with a cup of coffee, gazing at the sunrise and looking at the majesty of Pikes Peak, I thanked God for his creation and thought it doesn't get any better than this. The host was wonderful.The house allowed for 3 private areas as there was bedrooms on 3 floors. Each with the amazing view.

The host is extremely kind and helpful. Amenities offered were very helpful. The shower gel and hair products are of top qualities. For the kitchen, there was sufficient amount of pots, pans, utensils, plates and cups. The VIEWS are breathtaking from every room. Very picturesque.

We stayed here to celebrate our mom’s 70th birthday with all of my siblings, and it was the perfect spot for such a special occasion. The home is beautiful, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view is absolutely breathtaking! We found ourselves spending most of our time out on the deck just soaking it all in.We did need to reach out to the homeowner during our stay, and they responded quickly and were very helpful.It was the perfect place to gather, relax, and make memories together. Highly recommend!

The primary purpose of our trip was to explore area trails, and this was a perfect location for that! it was also an easy drive too many of the area attractions such as garden of the gods, Pike’s Peak, the Royal Gorge, etc.. The house had a great layout and was perfect for our family. We had plenty of room and the views off the deck were amazing! The host had great communication and the property was easy to find. Grocery store nearby for last minute items.The area is absolutely beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife!

Amazing Stay & Amazing Views!

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin so much! It provided everything we needed to enjoy our annual family Colorado vacation. The views are amazing and the atmosphere is so peaceful. Our host Becki was always helpful and great at responding to all my questions. Highly recommend this cabin!

First thing we saw as we arrived was the deer (5) . Lots of snow for the kiddos to play in. Great family room and game room. Great family vacation home.

We had a very pleasant stay at this house. The home was clean and well stocked with all the essential items needed for a comfortable stay. We were a family of six and were able to accommodate everyone easily without any issues.Although we didn’t get a chance to use the game room downstairs, it is definitely a great bonus. It’s nice to have a dedicated space where families can spend time together, play games, and create memories.All the rooms were clean and provided with enough blankets and pillows, which made sleeping very comfortable. We also had consistent access to Wi-Fi, which was a big plus, especially with teenagers in the group. The washer and dryer worked perfectly and were very convenient to have during our stay.Things to consider:If there is snow, having a 4x4 vehicle is very important. The entrance to the house is somewhat steep, and with snow it can be challenging to navigate. Smaller vehicles may risk scraping the bottom when entering.While I understand that renters are expected to purchase additional items if needed, for guests staying 3–6 days it feels unnecessary to buy a full box of trash bags. I would recommend leaving more than two trash bags available, especially for larger families staying close to a week.Overall, our experience was very enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend this property to large families, especially those with small children or teenagers.

Great Family Vacation

Our family stayed here over Thanksgiving and was very impressed! The kitchen was well stocked for our Thanksgiving meal, the rooms were each a great size, and the views were spectacular!! We loved getting glimpses of the daily wildlife, and the mountain views were perfect, especially at sunrise and sunset. The host was incredibly prompt in their responses and very accommodating. This home was a great place for our family vacation!

What makes this property unique

Our cabin is unique in the area - it has amazing direct views of Pikes Peak, but it's surrounded by aspen and pine trees. The photos can't do the view justice - at all times of the day you'll see the mountain in so many ways - with floating clouds and sunrise, crisp midday sun and evening colors. At night, turn the lights out and you'll see stars like you've never seen. Just sitting and having coffee or a glass of wine is such a treat for us.
