We went to the concert in Snowmass and this location was perfect! The free shuttle picked us up and dropped us off at the end of our driveway and the venue was only a few minutes away!

Aspen/Snowmass ski trip

A group of 10 friends stayed for 4 nights. The only negative thing about staying here is the location. It's not ski in/ski out, which we knew when we booked. But finding lodging for 10 proved more difficult than I expected. Luckly we found this wonderful home. Don't let the location be a deterrent from staying here though. It's very close to the base village, and a free short shuttle ride away. The shuttle will pick you up at the end of the driveway. If you want to spend time down in Aspen, it proves a bit more difficult to bus there. You have to take the shuttle to the base village, then catch the bus to Aspen (also free). But, it takes a while. I would recommend renting a car if you're going down to Aspen often. Depending on Uber or Lift proved challenging, so again a car is a good option if you're staying here. If you're staying in Snowmass the shuttle is perfectly fine. The home itself was perfect for our group. 5 couples in 5 different bedrooms. (one bedroom just has bunk beds though) The house was clean and well maintained and offers both a hot tub and a dry sauna. I would highly recommend staying at this home while in Snowmass. Perfect place for a group of friends to enjoy.

My parents are from, and still live in, a small town in Ohio. They built this chalet in 1969 as part of their passion for skiing, which they instilled in my brother, sister, and me. We have loved coming regularly to the Ski Ball Chalet with friends and family over the years as its design fosters gathering in the great room and develops camaraderie within the group. My wife and children now love it as much as I. We hope you and your friends and family will have the type of experience here that brings you all closer together and gives you a wonderful lifetime memory.

Why they chose this property

The Ski Ball Chalet was the 2nd house built in this neighborhood. It is a quiet, family oriented area of mostly full time residents of Snowmass.

What makes this property unique

The Chalet is designed to promote gathering together in the great room which has expansive floor to ceiling windows and a gas fireplace. This brings the group together for a memorable vacation.

The Chalet is directly on the free shuttle route which makes it easy access to Snowmass Village/Mall/Base Village, and the lifts without the need to find parking. This allows for members of a group to easily leave the chalet and come back to it at different times. It is not ski in/ski out, but it has nearly the same benefits while having an entire home (including a hot tub and sauna) to yourself.

The Chalet also has a half circular driveway so that it is easy for several cars to enter and exit without the need back out or move several cars in order for one car to exit. it is around a 5 minute drive to the ski lifts and 20 minutes to Aspen.
