The unique gated Terrasol community guarantees no hassle from timeshare salesmen, nor from beach vendors. Our beautiful three double bedroom condo perfectly blends the charm of old Mexico with the convenience of modern living. It has a fully equipped, spacious and airy living area opening onto a private terrace with immediate access to the sandy beach. All that is between you and the Pacific Ocean is the larger of the two communal pools.

Each bedroom has a spacious bathroom with Mexican tub and shower and its own terrace. The lockable flyscreens allow you to sleep with an ocean breeze and the sound of the waves. Relax with a margarita on the private balcony over looking the beach.

The smaller Terrasol pool has a charming palapa restaurant with swim-up bar that will also deliver telephoned orders to your door if you decide to eat in, but not to avail yourself of the well equipped kitchen.

The tranquility and security of our condo is just a short walk from the excitement of Cabo’s harbour and nightlife.

Why John chose Marina

The most relaxing location in Cabo, convenient to downtown but private. The staff are amazingly helpful and happy!

And Mario's margaritas in the Palapa restaurant are to die for.

Sweet spot but needs some Love !

Beautiful location with a wonderful view. Poorly stocked with any supply's . Dishwasher and clothes washer did not work. If it was $250.00 a night it would be a deal but when all the extra fees and taxes kick in it was $500.00 a night. Really enjoyed the restaurant buy the pool. Good communication with owner as well.

Be WARY! Not as advertised...

If you are just looking for a place to hang your hat and sleep, and want a property with a great on site staff, a pool on the Pacific Ocean side in Cabo, and walking distance to the Marina, all of that is correct, and this rental might work for you. The restaurant on site is ok, but only open from 9 - 6 daily, and the staff at Terrasol is lovely. That is why I gave it one star (and 0 is not an option!). However, if you are a regular VRBO customer used to things being as they are advertised and pictured, this IS NOT the place for you! As previous reviews also state, this owner is long distance, and while he may respond quickly to emails during the reservation process and be quick to provide excuses, he falls very short of providing the care and attention to a rental property that his market prices demand.

When we stayed in late June, 2017, the dishwasher was not working, and after arrival he disclosed it has been out of service for 1 1/2 years!! Other items that were not working included:

*the lights in the Master Bath/Vanity

*one of the recliners in the living room

*the ice maker

*the iron

*one of the second bath tubs leaks

*the phone has a broken antenna is inaudible (i.e. no meal delivery!)

*the fan and lights on the stove do not work

Aside from the lengthy list above, the place is not "fully equipped" in any way... the dishes and pans are very basic, old, and leave much to be desired. There were NO paper goods, or even an extra trash bag, dish soap or a dish drying rack (remember... NO dish washer!). There are no beach towels, no pads or pillows on the outside chairs, and the bath towels are old and worn. There are no instructions for the existing appliances, regarding check out, or suggestions for places to go as with most VRBO's.

Finally, while we did communicate these issues to the owner, he just blamed the Property Management and his ails with "home ownership in Mexico" as the reason for the inadequacies. We have rented at other places in Mexico, and found the staff in general and at Terrasol friendly and very service oriented. Other renters during our stay also seemed very happy. It is a nice property, just the wrong owner to work with.

After communicating our concerns with the owner both during and after our stay he provided only excuses. Nothing was ever fixed in the six days we were there, and when we asked for any portion of our fees as a refund, he was suddenly unable to respond. Buyer be ware!

Owner's Response: Whilst we thank you for bringing the maintenance issues to our attention, as the owner, I feel totally misrepresented by this review. The description on VRBO was absolutely accurate at the time we left the condo at the end of March. It was fully equipped with linen and towels, including 8 beach towels. The kitchen pans were replaced 12 months ago. The dishwasher was working, as were all lights. The rental rate for our 3BR condo is set at the same level as most 2BR condos in the resort. We manage this by not employing a property manager, but relying upon the resort management, with their maintenance team, to fix any problems that arise between our own twice yearly visits. Guests are asked to report to us any problems that they experience to the resort staff and we have adequate funds lodged with the resort to cover most eventualities. This has worked well for the last few years. The dishwasher was replaced 2 years ago, but developed a fault just after the 1 year warranty period. The spare part shipped from the US did not fit in the Mexican built unit with the same model number. In March, as a stopgap forced by there being no dishwashers “on the shelf” in Cabo, we had a second hand unit fitted. This was working when we left in April. It is therefore incorrect to say that the dishwasher had not been working for a year. I had passed on the previous guests’ report of the failure of the light unit, of the icemaker and of the dishwasher to the resort manager, with a request that they be addressed. I had no reason to believe that these problems had not been fixed, as they normally were. We do rely upon the Terrasol staff to carry out these tasks, and normally they have proved very efficient. We were not aware that the telephone system had failed. We have asked for it to be replaced. Similarly with the flat iron, that has not previously been reported as having failed. In our several e-mail exchanges with the guests we sought only to explain the delays, not to attribute blame. When it came to the request for a refund/rebate, we did not feel inclined to offer this. Our condo rents for $100 less per night than any equivalent in Cabo. We have had good reviews from our guests for several years, many saying what good value we have provided. Accordingly, in our view they had already had an adequate discount!

Roomy but needs attention

The condo was certainly big enough. However, the owner doesn't seem too interested in repairs. The dishwasher is 100% unusable, the recliner is broken, front door very difficult to open the locks, faucets are leaky, the 3rd bedroom could use some type of dresser or way to store clothing as the 2 other bedrooms do. It would be a good time to update the towels, they are shabby. When I asked why only one roll of toilet paper and no paper towels, it was explained the cost of adding that to "Maintenance" would be too costly. I suggest the owner himself invest the $5 to $10 per week to provide that. We were charged nearly $2,000 so that would not really cramp his income. And there are multiply places to store a large amount of toilet paper and paper towels. He does not have to ask the maintenance crew to do it...but he can!!! Lighting inside is not bright enough, rooms are too dim when the light switch is at full brightness. We had to go outside to read. Air conditioning was great and the patio and pool area are wonderful. I strongly suggest he invest some money into this home he obviously loves...it's time!!!

Owner's Response: I am sorry that our condo appears not to have come up to this guest’s expectations. It is a little harsh to say that we are not interested in repairs. We try to do the best that we can, given that we are not resident in Cabo and visit ourselves only twice a year. We are not looking on this as a profit making business – only to meet the annual costs of ownership ofour vacation home and eventual retirement property. We have not increased the rental charge in 3 years, and only in the last 2 years has there been a small surplus. The failure of the dishwasher and the icemaker, both of which were working when we left the condo in early April, have been reported to the resort manager, with a request for rectification. Unfortunately, the Terrasol maintenance crew have not yet found the necessary spare parts in Cabo – this has always been a problem! As to the kitchen towels and toilet tissue, Terrasol do provide one roll of toilet tissue for each bathroom as part of their maid service, but we have not been able to persuade them to provide daily replenishment if the maid service is not used. Cost is not the issue – just a means to organize the supplies. We do not consider it a great imposition on guests for them to add this to their grocery shopping list! We judged that the towels were adequate when we were there in March/April, though we will review this on our next trip, and replace them if necessary. The switch to energy efficient light bulbs has indeed reduced the light levels in the condo. Hopefully, the increased light output from the LED bulbs that are now becoming available will allow us to address this, without needing additional light fittings to be installed. There are built-in wardrobes in all 3 bedrooms, so the request for an additional dresser is not understood. We welcome comments and criticism from guests, and try to address all issues that are raised.

We found our happy place. Terrasol #170

Two friends and I stayed here from May 21 to May 28, 2017. We were looking for a girls trip and planning on Mazatlan where we have gone many times. Another friend suggested Cabo and since none of us had been there, we all agreed. I found this condo on VRBO, made contact with John, the owner and viola, Cabo it was. We took John's advise and rather than a taxi or a shuttle from the airport, we made reservations with Brown's Private Services. They were waiting at the airport when we arrived, stopped at Walmart to stock up and unloaded our bags when we got to the condo. Awesome service.

Now for the condo itself. Loved, loved, loved it. There were only 3 of us so we had far more room than we needed but it was wonderful. 3 large bedrooms, 3 large bathrooms, 4 patios (1 off each bedroom and 1 off the living room). Being 3 older ladies and always being warm, we totally enjoyed each room having its own air conditioner and ceiling fan. Beds are very comfortable (I even liked the pillows and I am a pillow snob).

The kitchen had everything you could want. We basically only used the coffee pot and the blender and of course the refrigerator. Unfortunately the ice maker didn't work but when I emailed John, he responded right away. He felt bad they weren't able to fix it but it wasn't a problem. We used the ice cube trays that were there. Having a washer and dryer in the unit could be a real plus but we didn't use them. We were on a girls vacation, no cooking and no laundry. Just the way we wanted it to be.

We enjoyed the beautiful pools although not as much as we would have had it not been so hot. Next time we will aim for either earlier or later in the year. The walk to the Marina was an easy walk which we did everyday, shopping, eating and drinking (not too much though). We had some wonderful meals in the Marina and some not so good. The best was Alexanders, the worse was Senior Frogs. The restaurant by the condo pool was very disappointing other than rather decent pancakes. They don't even make their own guacamole. In Mexico??

This is the quietest place I have ever stayed so if you want peace, quiet and total relaxation, this is the place to be. The only sound at night was the crashing waves. We couldn't ask for more.

I give this unit and the owner, John, a 5 star only because that is the highest allowed. John was amazing answering all my emails promptly. Thank you John, for allowing my friends and myself the use of your future home.

Great Birthday Week!

We had such a wonderful time at this condo! The private "owners" pool was the way to go without the crowds and "resort" music & noise. We had 5 guests and felt there was much more room for other guests! The beach was right up to our condo! The Office staff was wonderful and the location was perfect for walking into the Marina District for shopping, dinners, & just people watching!

Will highly recommend to our friends, thanks John for a wonderful vacation destination!

Loved my two week vacation!!!!

We loved our stay in the condo! The views were awesome. The beach easily accessible. The pools were great - and never too crowded. Loved watching whales from our room/patio almost every day. Everyone was super friendly around the pools and we made quite a few new friends! Loved the idea of exploring new restaurants and shops around the area - most within walking distance. Fabulous two week vacation!!!

The resort charges $25 per night for up to 4 adult guests in the condo and $30 for up to 8. It also charges $5 per day for car parking.
The condo will be cleaned and prepared for arrivals, and we pay also for cleaning on departure. Maid service for intervening days is optional, and the resort charges $40 per day for this.
