Century City is an important business center located on the West Side of Los Angeles, California. Many law firms and executives--particularly those with ties to the film, television, and music industries--have offices here. Century City is bounded by Westwood on the west, Rancho Park on the southwest, Cheviot Hills and Beverlywood on the southeast, and the city of Beverly Hills on the northeast. Its major thoroughfares are Santa Monica, Olympic, and Pico Boulevards (its northern boundary, central artery, and southern boundary, respectively), as well as Avenue of the Stars and Century Park East and West.

Valerie Lapena purchased this cottage in 2002
We bought this property because of its charm and its convenient location with 2 major supermarkets, 2 large shopping malls and its proximity to UCLA and Beverly Hills!
Enjoy the proximity of Ralphs Supermarket across the street and walking distance to Century City Mall/Beverly Hills.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 months stay at Westwood Cottage in 2008. The delightful garden was a favourite place to have breakfast or lunch. We felt immediately at home and appreciated the owners friendly yet respectful help and always great advice on restaurants and local amenities. The Westfield Century City Mall is a fabulous resource only 5 minutes stroll away with a plethora of great restaurants, multiplex cinema and shopping - a great convenience we took every advantage of! Not to mention Ralph's right across the street. The wood features everywhere lend a gorgeous warmth and the house is tastefully decorated; the bed is super comfy. Staying for such a length of time we also took advantage of the additional weekly maid service which meant the place always felt fresh, clean and tidy. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here however long or short!
This was a really sweet cottage with the cutest garden! Everything was in working order. I wish we had stayed on a less rainy day so we could've enjoyed the outdoor space more, but it was a great choice. The owners were friendly and helpful, we definitely recommend staying here.
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Gus and Valerie were so welcoming and helpful. We were moving our daughter into UCLA and this place was ideal. Ralph's is right across the street for grocery shopping. The mall is walking distance from the cottage. We will definitely be booking again.
Our stay at Westwood Cottage can be summed up in one word: perfect! It was exactly as described and exceptionally clean, and the owners were easy to contact and exceptionally helpful. The location is ideal, especially with a Ralph's right across the street. We were also able to find our way to restaurants, shops and UCLA with ease. My daughter and I not only enjoyed the feeling of being at home but also having a vacation-like experience with the lovely garden settings and true vintage (but not outdated) features of the cottage. We will definitely return to Westwood Cottage on a future trip to LA.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westwood cottage. The cottage is lovely, with large rooms and a lot of character. It was a good size for three people; two of us shared the bedroom (with a twin and a queen bed) and the third slept on the sofa bed in the living room. There's a nice memory foam pad in the closet to put on the sofa bed as well. We had breakfast outside each morning in the very nicely landscaped yard, where you could choose to sit at a nice table or lounge on comfortable couches under shady trees. The house and yard have a secluded feel, event though right off a busy street.
The house is conveniently located to the beach, the Getty museum, LACMA, and many other L.A. attractions. Parking was available right on the street outside the house. There's a large grocery store directly across the street and a mall only a few blocks away.
We had a great experience at the Westwood Cottage and would definitely recommend it.
We spent 6 weeks at Westwood Cottage and have only positive things to say about it. Our favorite feature was the garden, where we hosted our many friends and relaxed at all hours of the day. The cottage is very comfortable for an extended stay and has the beautiful feel of old LA, which is what we love. Valerie and her family were extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive to our needs. We could not have asked for a better home for our summer vacation.
Grateful for a wonderful visit at Westwood Cottage.
Beautiful property, hosts warm, caring and thoughtful.
What an amazingly wonderful accommodation, supporting
our week long stay to celebrate daughters
graduation from UCLA .
We appreciate every respect of our VRBO choice:
Charming home, creating the setting for feelings of
space and tranquility, beautiful large garden and a "great homes" neighborhood,
fun taking an evening stroll admiring home styles and landscaping, as well
easy travel /distance to many L.A. attractions.
Also this location is walking distance to groceries and shopping!
Finally we deeply appreciate our hosts anticipation of our needs with a welcoming friendliness, and
attention to detail making this not only a comfortable visit in every way
This home is centrally located with sounds of the city nearby, but somehow seemingly
removed due to it's situation, set back and up from the
street and surrounded by a "Zen" garden with canopy of trees and flowers.
Look forward to our next visit,
Thank you again, Valerie and Family!
