Vey charming, cozy and CLEAN!! ~Thanks for leaving coffee filters....very helpful/thoughtful!

We had a wonderful time!! :)) (However, the fireplace may not be venting well; the living room had a smokiness about it, even before we used the fireplace.) We sure look forward to our next stay!! Thank you!!

Very relaxing

We loved everything about it! But may I suggest that you put a stool at the hot tub to make it a little easier to get in and out. But overall, we loved it!

Home sweet home!

  • 5 of 5

This sweet cabin is a rare find. I'm home sick for Granny's Retreat already and will be for a while. Sad to say I got some kind of flu during our trip and am still suffering from an infection in my chest and ears all in all this is the place to be cozy and warm.

We spent most of our time right here at this perfect home away from home. If you ever want to know what it's like to be safe and warm but at the same time surrounded by activity and beauty, this is it. It matters not your age or your list of relaxation or activity required for a perfect vacation when you stay at Granny's River Retreat it just matters that you are there.

Everything you need is there. Clean, peaceful, nature, wild life, and plenty of activity if that's what you came for. If you can't find something to do here, or in town just sit on the back porch and wait for the next cardinal to land in a tree or the next next duck to float down the river in front of your very eyes in the river that flows right smack dad in front of you. This is the spot that all of you Tom Sawyer dreamers (including myself ) have lived out in our little kid minds.

I don't want to give away all of the treasures you'll find inside but I can say that the owner has left many historical and heartfelt relics around to see and to read to give us all a glimpse into the history as well as the personal side of this lovely home.

Many Thanks B. Warren.

at this cabin then you really need to re-think what your'e doing wrong.

Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect, the location was great, and the owner was very helpful and offered us a late checkout due to possible freezing rain on our checkout morning. Will definitely try to come back and book this cabin.

We took three teens, walked to the strip, loved being in the hot tub and watching the river. Fireplace was awesome and we stayed warm and cozy though it was really cold outside. We would love to stay here again. Can’t think of a thing I would change
