MERMAID COVE COTTAGE
Location, location, location! Mermaid Cove Cottage is a short ride out to the Homosassa River which offers easy access to the Gulf or Homosassa Springs. Also, close by boat, golf cart or vehicle to The Shed at McCraes and public boat ramp, Florida Cracker, Crumps, The Old Mill, The Freezer, Two Pop's, Nauti Times. This home is located in an old, quiet Florida neighborhood with wonderful neighbors. It offers plenty of outdoor area, including dock space for your boat and a large paver patio area to relax. We often see wildlife such as manatee, otters, dolphin, fish, egrets, hawks, etc. right in the backyard. A sloped area into the water is convenient to launch kayaks which are available for your use. A large shed/building with an ice maker, yes, a large ice machine, and a bait/beer fridge is available. The shed also offers plenty of space to securely store your fishing/diving equipment. No parking issues at this home as there is plenty of parking out front and a covered carport. The Cottage is very spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen and living area...can easily sleep up to 8 and also has a large outdoor shower for your convenience. Many amenities including use of kayaks, paddle boat, gas grill, propane fire pit, ice machine, fish cleaning table, fishing from dock, relaxing etc. Bring your own golf cart or rent one here in Homosassa to add to your enjoyment. Many mermaids, fishermen and friends have enjoyed this home. It will not disappoint!

Homosassa house

We had an excellent stay at this house. Perfect location, close access to main channel with proximity to restaurants, springs and scalloping. Huge deck with fish cleaning station, fire pit, awesome outdoor shower. Kitchen equipped with everything you can possibly need. Host is very kind and responsive and definitely take pride at a property. Couldn’t imagine better spot for homosassa trip.

Perfect vacation!

We just spent a week at this cute little mermaid cottage. It was such an amazing vacation. We have two families there was plenty of room and games for the kids. The house was well stocked and the ice machine was a huge plus, especially when we went out on the boat daily. Linda was a great host and made the whole process easy. We hope to come back again next year.

The mermaid cove was a perfect destination for our annual family vacation. The location, backyard, home with all the amenities was perfect!! Linda was very friendly and very willing to help us with any questions or concerns!! Great place will definitely be back

Amazing river home!

Our stay was amazing. This little river house suited all of our families needs. Lots of outdoor and common area space for the whole family to enjoy. The dock and canal was perfect for our boat. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of cookware and utensils for family meals. Linda was great and very responsive throughout our stay. We will definitely stay here again.

Boating getaway

We absolutely loves our stay at mermaids cove! Mother mermaid(Linda) was wonderful and very responsive. House is in a great location on the river and is perfect for bringing your boat. Plenty of parking for truck trailer and cars. Accommodations were great! We had everything he could need ice machine, cleaning station, extra life jackets! The house was perfectly decorated and furnished. Beds are very comfortable. The shotgun kitchen is very cool as well. We had a great weekend scalloping and will be looking to come back soon!

Great house in a great location!

We loved our stay! The house was spacious and so clean. It had anything you could need inside (dishes, towels, coffee maker, etc) Our favorite part was the beautiful backyard with large brick pavers and property wide dock. We sat in the backyard every evening and fished off the dock with our kids. It was very convenient to have our boat in the canal behind us instead of dragging it in and out. We loved this location!

Wonderful house and host!

I can’t say enough great things about the house and the host. The house was wonderful and they had so many sleeping options. The beds were very comfortable and the house had everything we needed from soaps, shampoos, laundry detergent, etc.. they also had kayaks and paddle boats as well as lifejackets available to use. Location was amazing and right on the water! The kids loved the outside shower! We loved being able to hook up to the dock after scalloping. Not only are the host very honest people, but they also employ honest people. Shortly after we checked out, we were notified that the housekeeper found my purse and a few articles of clothing. Everything was shipped back to us in two days and of course everything was still in my purse just as I thought it would be. We Will absolutely be staying here again! Thank you, Thank you! -Amy Hansen
