Twice the stay for half the price of large hotels

  • 4 of 5

We have made several trips to St. Pete's Beach over the last several years from Nebraska in January. Since it's usually very cold up north we always welcome Florida's winter weather. This year we were particularly lucky because the temperatures were higher than normal and by finding this condo we got to stay twice as long as in previous years for the same amount of money as if we had stayed up the beach in a large hotel. The condo offers a kitchen which I used more than I thought I would. Even though it was built in the 50's it is comfortable and clean. A big part of staying here is how enjoyable it is to share the sunset with other owners and renters. Also being across the very quiet street is the Gulf of Mexico and there are nearby options of places to eat. The owner is pleasant to deal with and booking was easy. I would recommend this place for a couple who is looking for a quiet place to spend time on the beach without expecting it to be particularly large or ultra modern.

Last-Minute Bargain on the Beach!

  • 5 of 5

Just two days before Christmas, we decided we needed a place to stay between Christmas and New Year while visiting our daughter and their new baby (our first grandchild!) at their small house in downtown St. Pete. All the beach hotels were booked and ran $30-100 a night or more than this fully-equipped condo, which we were fortunate to find available. My 24 year-old son and I stayed here at the beach, while my wife stayed at their house, and they came out to visit and enjoy the beach, too. The location, views, and weather could not have been better. Clean and quiet, it has everything you need including a fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom. It is small, but with two comfortable queen beds (not Murphy beds, as in some units), and a queen fold-out couch, it has enough room for at least four adults. There are beach chairs and some beach toys available for your use. The owner, Chris, was very helpful and made it easy to complete the rental and check-in process; a manager was on-site to assist if needed. There is a coin washer and dryer available in the complex. You should be aware that the bedroom is not entirely separate from the living and kitchen area, and the unit is at the back of the complex, not in front, but from the large, open front deck we enjoyed unobstructed views of the beach during the day, and the clear skies and stars at night. Located in the heart of Pass-A-Grille, we enjoyed breakfast at the Hurricane next door, and the Seahorse Cafe at the other end of the street-- try their shrimp and grits! We went fishing at the Merry Pier, and enjoyed the music, food, and drinks at the Paradise Grill across the street on the beach. There was not much nightlife at the adjacent Brass Monkey, Hurricane, and other nearby restaurants and bars, but the unusually warm weather brought many visitors to the beach during the daytime. When we return in the spring and summer, we will definitely see if it is available!

A piece of paradise

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I discovered Pass A Grille on our last day of vacation in 2015 and we knew almost immediately that this would be an annual vacation spot for years to come. This place is truly a piece of paradise! The only bad part of Pass A Grille is the feeling you get when you have to leave!! The owners of this property are the definition of hospitable. The payments were easy and online. Convenience would be an under statement for this property location!! Directly across the road from the beach, next door to coffee and ice cream, and two restaurants within 30 seconds walking distance. The sunsets from the second deck patio are breath taking. This property is cozy and feels like a home away from home. Perfect romantic getaway or beach trip for a few friends. We loved the location and property so much so that we emailed the owners after a couple of days and got an extra night and extended our stay! Thank you so much to the owners!! Would HIGHLY recommend
